I just bought five pairs of Levi’s 502 Premium Jeans (40% off Black Friday sale) based on your full Levi Jean Guide video and my wardrobe has never been so versatile. I got light, mid, dark, grey, & black washes. I feel like I unlocked some sort of wardrobe cheat code. You were totally right about the 502! Thank you for your help! You made my life so much easier.

I have 5 pairs of 512 Levis. 2230 rupees each from their official website in India. Close to 29 dollars if we convert. All of them 98pc cotton. Anything have a lesser composition of cotton would never last. Thats for sure. Simply because elasticity would tend to get loose leading to lesser durability as time goes by. Jeans should be tough. Simple as that.

Texan here, I buy wranglers because it goes with the boots and you can wear them everywhere. I also have owned Levi's and old navy over the years and they are good for extremely casual outings especially if you don't want to wear boots. Stitch fix also makes decent denim pants under their Hawker Rye label, I have a pair of dark black washes and I wear them with tennis or sneakers because of how slim the legs are.

A word of caution regarding selvedge under $100: I've seen some cheaper brands actually mimicking selvedge by sewing a fabric strip on the inside to make it look like selvedge. The only brands I've seen pulling actual selvedge under $100 are Uniqlo and Unbranded Brand (which for the record is the "low cost" brand of Naked & Famous).

Hey Captian, I grew up when jeans were worn for work, not for style. The two brands we bought were Levi's and Wrangler. Denim needs to be strong, especially when working outside. Today I still wear Levi's 501, I like the buttons. Semper Fi Marine.

I found some absolute steals from the GAP, slim tapered fit, all temp jeans. Absolutely amazing for about $20-$30. Of course It ain’t the best of the best quality, but if you take care of them, and don’t wash them after every wear, you can get whole lot of wears out of them.

I wash my jeans after a week or two of wear. I have cargo work pants that I wash regularly, but my jeans can handle the casual/leisure wear. I have found out that Old Navy jeans wear out faster than Wranglers and Levis, but who cares? I would never entertain the thought of paying more than $50 for a pair of decent jeans. Especially since my waist size fluctuates between 33-34 and I hate wearing belts.

Antonio, as a guy who has been around the denim block a time or three, I can tell you the quest for the perfect fit of jeans is like searching for the holy grail. That said: Revtown rocks! I can speak to their jeans' quality, feel, and glute-hugging magnificence -- perfect for my bod. They also have a fantastic selection (great chinos, too!), and I love the pricing. For higher-end goods, and jeans with a little bit o' stretch, I favor 34 Heritage. Pricey, yes, but worth it. They also look a bit dressier than other elastane-infused styles I've seen. Plus, they hold up better after washing. You can expect to spend between $160.00 and $230.00, depending on the features and, of course, the season.

Recently bought a pair of Brave Star. They're great. So are the Unbranded. Bonobos chinos are fantastic. My Calvin Klein jeans are much too thin, but beautiful and comfortable. Every pair rips at the knee within a year so I reserve them for certain situations. I still rock some Levi's but mine are all from the late 90s and early 2000s. The denim is really thick. I think for most people, if you have chinos and other pants, you only need 2-4 pairs of jeans in different shades. Maybe a black, 2-3 blues, and maybe a gray. Definitely would recommend the dark blue denim. Do a full leg workout in them to break them in. 100 squats while holding them up so they don't form a sag, same with sitting, get em broken in. Great video. Great advice. You can't beat the mass made pants for workwear that's going to get ruined like Levi's/ wrangler/Lee.

Looking for some recommendations for brands of jeans, preferably other than Levi's, for a 56-year-old male, 5'9" and 130 pounds. Looking for something not too expensive and definitely not in the cheap price range. Thanks in advance.

Levi's are my go-to. The 511's fit perfectly

I really like your video. What are your thoughts about Eddie Bauer jeans? I’ve been buying them for over 20 years, never disappointed. Good price/quality, decent style.

Seriously?! Dior Homme! The best. Handmade, and fitted to one's body- when you put on a pair you feel the difference, who cares they are $600+. I actually have some insured because they have tripled in value since I bought them- and I wear them wherever, whenever. Gorgeous material, detail, and the way they fit/ feel on.

Stretchy jeans, especially Levi’s, is a game changer.

This isn't a question about jeans but I need help, I do unbutton my dress shirt without a tie but only the top. Is that an acceptable look with a sport jacket?

I don't understand why Levi's jeans are so expensive in Europe: a pair of 512 is between 110 and 140€ (quite the same in $). What could explain this difference? And where to buy LEvi's jeans at a cheapest price?

I disagree. It depends on your size. I need a 33 waist and 36 leg. You cannot get those jeans at most places you mention. For us taller people, options are limited. I get mine from Bootlegger in Canada. They offer a few with 36 leg. And I’m lucky to get them for less than $100. I’d rather pay less somewhere else, but unless you’re shorter and chubbier, it’s not easy.
