I remember working at this event and I was only a casual rocket league player, with no interest in the esports side to this game. I had no idea who any of the teams and players who participated were, and I was just standing there watching these insane plays and enjoying one of the best crowd atmospheres I've ever seen. When i saw that goal go in after 0s I felt so hyped and I just wanted to celebrate as mad as the crowd did that day, but my supervisor was next to me so I couldn't do that (not tryna get fired you know). However this final and the crowd there has made me fall in love with RL and its competitive scene a lot and I really cannot wait for the next RLCs Championships!!

Most if not all esports players do because take into account how loud it would be, especially his goal in London. Earphones for hearing your team and the game sounds for games in which sound is important, headphones to help block out the sound and for the mic to communicate.

Dont underestimate fb pass, nrg keeping it up with all the pressure and getting the exact shot with their positioning and rotation vs a simple ceiling shot when no one knew how to do a ceiling shot. It shows you favour fancy mechanics over absolutely solid base mechanics under serious pressure

I was actually rooting for Dignitas (because, you know, EU), but when JSTN went up it was just such an unbelievable moment that you couldn’t help but get caught up in the emotion. I’m a big football fan (soccer for any Americans) and this is the first time an eSport ever made me feel the highs that football does. The crowd was amazing, the commentary gave you goosebumps. Even the actual goal was an all-or-nothing shot, not some flick or passing play where they could recover it if he missed. To top it all off it’s the rookie with all the pressure on his shoulders making it. Insane.

That goal was to force a game 5 in the upper bracket. Yh it was a very important goal but nowhere near as precise and important as jstn's.

@@tehcookievanilla1323 For me, that's definitely the 2nd best grand final in history. Idk if I would like a best of 9 grand final to be a thing a again though. Let's say that between the start of 2 games is about 7 minutes, that's without OT and like a 2-1 score. If a series goes all the way to game 9, that would be 63 minute series XD. Psyonix would never allow that.
