I still can't believe that You mean to tell me that the "Flower Pillar" (a supposed rare & beautiful phenomenon) was actually just a wind-twister made out of Toedscool's fallen-off mushroom body-flaps?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!
I think Floragato being so jealous is a good detail because in pokedex it's stated it's final evolution gets jealous when it's trainer gives more attention to other Pokemons
So glad we got to see Liko showing her emotions after her loss. Just like we've seen wth Ash and his companions before dealing with their own losses. Some fans need to know tha Liko wasn't being a sore loser and that's it's OK to cry she's jus a kid 😤
I think game Katy was a wasted character, as in the games we could just level up our Pokémon and one-shot her whole team. Anime Katy is much better as she goes crazy with her Lokix, and at the end, she acts as a motherly figure towards Liko and comforts her, showing her caring, but also determined personality.
5:05 I actually never realized Dot's hair like Cherrim's Outcast Forme until you pointed it out, but now that you mention it, it makes me love Dot's design even more. Cherrim changes into its Sunshine Forme when in sunny weather, so when Dot pulls back her hair, it's like she's found her own sunshine. Now I want to see Dot catch a Cherrim.
If episode 53 were an episode in the previous season, then the moment Liko, Roy and Dot were in a tight spot, Captain Pikachu would drop from the sky and save the day blah blah blah….thank God it isn’t
I feel the point of episode 51 were two things: First, to make Floragato understand Liko's responsibilities a bit more by babysitting terapagos and hatenna and get why she needs to be in "mom mode" with those two. And second, as a nice way to re-establish Liko's bond with Floragato even after her evolution (basically, avoiding any missconception in Liko's mind about her behavior) by showing that even when Floragato is angry she still cares a lot about her. Some people may dislike pokemon with baby-ish personalities, but I personally don't mind terapagos behavior. Not every pokemon needs to be a battle hungry monster to be memorable. And terapagos being the most curious baby ever is pretty cute in my opinion. And is consistent to his portrayal as an ancient pokemon that is exploring a new unknown world. And when it comes to Dot's battle, to be fair copperajah may look bulky, but it actually has really low Def and SpDef for a final evo. It's whole bulk comes basically just from it's HP. And Copperajah definitely was also the pokemon in Poppy's team that kept consistently taking the most amount of damage from Dot and Iono, so it makes sense why he got knocked out by the super effective attack of Iono's Bellibolt, which was boosted by its ability thanks to Dot. By the way, I think this the first time in years that we see shrinked pokeballs and pokemon returning to their pokeball in the anime. Also Liko, Roy and Dot's dopplegangers appearing in the background of this episode was pretty fun.
Interesting fact!! The Exceed company logo actually appeared back in episode 16! It’s found on the ship that Spinel was on. Exceed might be working with the explorers 🙃
Exceed's ties with the Explorers can actually seen back in HZ016. The cargo ship that Liko, Dot, and Roy battled Spinel's Umbreon and Beheeyem? It had Exceed's logo on some of the containers. Subtle foreshadowing!
@@catshal1067 I mean, while no Pokémon currently has both a Mega and exclusive Z-Move, there are Pokémon who have either of those plus a G-Max Form. So it's not a stretch for Rayquaza to gain an exclusive Z-Move. Heck, since Rayquaza doesn't even need to hold a Mega Stone, imagine if it's a Z-Crystal specifically for Mega Rayquaza. Yes, I know a Z-Crystal Rayquaza can't Mega Evolve, but its own could easily be an exception. An exception that would lead it getting banned from AG. 🤣
11:23 that part in the episode is the perfect example of how to subvert expectations. Making us think that they're annoying bullshit, only to be foreshadowing.
While I get your gripe with Liko not saying what she learned about Floragato, she's also very introverted, maybe not to the level of Dot but she's not nearly as upfront about things like Roy, she's really a middle part to their extremes.
Are you jadeazora from tumblr because that wording is veeeery similar.... I saw some people saying Crave is Ame's dad and idk why some people genuinely believe it because it's a very silly theory to me and he's clearly just a character of the day lol
With the reveal of Amethio being Gibeon's grandson, there's something that people tend to overlook. Amethio says that he is nothing like his father, but we don't know who Amethio's father is. I'm guessing it's Director Crave, Friede's old boss. And maybe he didn't want to be part of the Explorers like Amethio does, hence why he doesn't know what the Rakurium is for.
So happy finally seeing Like fully immerse herself into battles like Floragato. This is what I was waiting for, her to battle with all her might. I did see this character arc being setup perfectly in the starting episodes when Sprigatito wanted to battle, but Liko had her mind on all things except the battle itself.
I feel like once the plot of this show really gets going and we start getting more of the heavy episodes, it’s gonna go absolutely bonkers, cause the few we’ve got so far, even in just these quick recaps, are crazy and exactly what I’ve wanted to see in a Pokemon anime.
I don't believe the underlying theme of Episode 51 was Liko should appreciate Floragato more. She already had development in this respect. The story arc was for Floragato to realise that she's one part of a team and that she can't monopolise Liko's attention all the time. It felt more as a team building episode for the pokemon than a realisation of priorities for the trainer.
This episode prove that katy is not the weakest gym leader just because you fought her as the first gym battle in the game, same as rika of the elite four And yeah terapagos in episode 56 almost became axew, but im glad its not became axew since it make dot and penny meet and also the scarlet book and we can see the full battle Also im glad they animated liko crying very good, imagine if they running out of budget for that.... Boruto crying scene
in the scarlet and violet game all the gym leaders are shown to hold back since after the player becomes champion we see all the gym leaders using pokemons with level 60-80
@@amineramdan2856 yeah, not only SV gym leader but the entirely gym leader from all region (include captain trial & kahuna) are holding back until you can rematch them
Man, was I blown away by the full reveal of Gibeon! That definitely has me looking forward to even more Amethio family lore in the future. As he's literally doing everything in his power to please his grandfather! 💜
I think the point of the floragato episode was that she should be morre forgiving with Liko and that Liko still loves her despite being ocuppaid with her other pokemon.Liko wasn't even that neglectfull she immideatly noticed that floragato is upset and the search of the tornado was just for cheering her up.
I wonder if the Explorer's lore being expanded will be in the anime rewrite. It's crazy that Dot meeting Penny is a freak coincidence. Unless they see your anime series.
I legit don't get why people think Liko had learn anything about Floragato in ep 51, the point wasn't for Liko to learn, It was for Floragato to learn. Which is why Liko wasn't so heavily focused on. Past episodes had Liko learn to consider Sprig's feelings. This episode was for the reverse to happen.
- I still can't believe that You mean to tell me that the "Flower Pillar" (a supposed rare & beautiful phenomenon) was actually just a wind-twister made out of Toedscool's fallen-off mushroom body-flaps?!?!?! - And I liked Definitely foreshadowing Ryme as Roy's next test, And perhaps will be when Fuecoco evolves with the interest Ryme saw in him (plus loved how Liko & Roy are with phone recordings!!!!). And I can't believe that the mysterious & terrifying pokemon Ryme mentioned (and the hint she gave in saying "kono yo o saru" ~ to leave this world/not of this world) was to lead up to Next Ep of the Unworldly was to mean Annihilape!!! I guess there's nothing more unworldly than Ghosts!!!! (and what more so than the type of Rageful Ghost-Wraith that wants to aggressively punch you into the afterlife than Annihilape) > And Hatenna's evolution into Hattrem definitely feels deserved more than Kilowattrel after this with all her On-Screen Develop-progression on her personality & character leading her to evolve!!!! AND she proves it by KO-ing 3 Annihilapes with her new Brutal Swing!!! And she stays true to who she is by Heal Pulsing them better!!! Albeit she does feel sad that she can no longer be in Liko's hood, but now Hatenna is ready to assist in support AND offense whenever Liko needs her!!!!!! - In Dot's battle, I thought it wasn't that bad & made sense how the battle played out: most of Dot's team took damage from only Sandstorm, Rock Smash, Brick Break, & Rock Slide (1st half of those moves don't deal too much damage) & Bellibolt kind of a tank, it made sense it was able to tough through & use Quaxly-charged Zap Cannon to Copperajah, Who Was the main one of Poppy's pokemon that kept taking all the damage (albeit overall it was mainly Iono's win than Dot's). For Roy's battle, it really was one-sided as most of it ended up with him powering up Baxcalibur to Glaive Rush a Double KO. >As for Sango's, it was declared that she Lost her battle as the rule was the 1st pokemon knocked out either side loses, and Glalie knocked itself out First with Self-Destruct to knock out everyone else. > Onyx I sorta get why he lost: Onyx is a Soldier-Warrior. He wasn't going to sacrifice/let Tulip (his tag partner/backup~subordinate) be defeated so he & Garganacl took the hit for her which made them lose. If Onyx hadn't, he'd feel like it'd be disgraceful to him. He really is a Soldier with a Warrior's Honor & Pride. He might be my fav Explorer > At least now that we know that as long as if you defeat one pokemon on either side it counts as the winner of the match & the pokemon used by both sides for next episode's battle of Liko & Katy VS Rika as: {Floragato & Lokix VS Clodsire & Dugtrio} that beating Rika's Ace Clodsire would indeed be something if Liko could beat it, but if not beating Dugtrio on the other hand might be possibly plausible (to be honest, I would've thought Rika would have chosen to fight with her Closire be either Donphan [to make up for Clodsire's slow mobility]) or Camerupt [being part Fire would Really Challenge both Liko & Katy] - As for Liko's, Despite the outcome of the battle, Liko did a pretty good job in her battle!!!!! This tag battle definitely was the best of the 3 with Rika's consecutive attacks from Katy's unleashed battling with Lokix both supportive & offensive (got super surprised Swarm activated) & Liko's Floragato learning Acrobatics {Love she learned the move after being inspired by Lokix's battle movements & maybe from its Bounce attack!!!!} And if it's any consolation for Liko, She was the only one to make her Elite 4 get Serious enough to go Tera; that's saying something in comparison with the others. At least after crying, I'm glad Liko felt better afterwards. AND at long last, Liko has Finally Found it; Beyond the Battle- Liko has Finally found Her Drive ~ the joy in Serious Battling!!!!!!!!!! Our Girl's On her Way!!!!! She's finally found the joy in battling for real & it will make her stronger!!!!!
Well we most likely know that fuecoco isn’t evolving in the ryme battle because there is a picture with the kids and a lot of Pokémon around them and dot has quaxly evolved form around her while Roy doesn’t have fuecoco evolved form around him. Seriously hope this doesn’t mean fuecoco isn’t evolving at all.
@@shadowwizard2383 I saw that too. But I do recall before that pic appeared some months ago we did see anime pics of the HZ trio's starters all in middle-stage forms; so we know Fuecoco will evolve but we just don't know when. Maybe due to that pic being released around this time when the next ep titles were revealed means Quaxly is evolving very soon & they decided to release that pic to be up to date
@@shadowwizard2383 And also about that pic, I'm kinda happy about it as it showed the Gym Leaders' Tera Aces AND their Partner Aces in them!!! It showed Florges!!! Crabominable!!! Altaria!!!! and even Mismagius!!! I so can't wait And hope we see them with their gym leader trainers & battle!!!!!!!!
@@MarcusMapua Not saying fuecoco won’t evolve just not anytime soon and remember we got liko sprigatito and it evolved right after we got dot quaxly a bit ago so it evolving next makes sense then later we will get Roy fuecoco which will evolve most likely
@@UnwantedGhost1-anz25Depends on how successful this show is. Or they'll pull a beyblade burst and introduce a new protagonist each Gen. Hopefully the former
If anything these episode made me edited for what's to come. SV had some of the best characters imo and I really want to see more of them. Also, did anyone else catch the part about Amethio's father probably being a traitor. I'm interested about that
they had to make another conflict for hattena to evolve, you'know hatrem's pokedex entry! something about when whoever around her express strong emotions it shut em up with violence.
Well with the poster we just got it most likely not happening in her battle because dot has quaxly evolved form around her but Roy doesn’t have fuecoco evolved form around him maybe saving it for when they fight rayquaza next
@@shadowwizard2383 the fact that we have loads of merch showing crocalor and the fact that Roy and fuecoco are gonna be having 3 focus episodes in a row, he's definitely evolving in the ryme fight
Sad you didn't even talk about Coral and Sidian's battles. Sure, they were very short and somewhat underwhelming, but I still found them enjoyable. Coral casually nukes the field with Glalie's Self-Destruct, and the aftermath made me crack up. The other Pokémon stare with a "Guess I'll die." face, and after her loss is announced, Kofu bursts into laughter while Larry is just being relatable as always. But the fact that it took down 2 Elite Four Pokémon shows how powerful it is. Someday, it will be a litteral nuke as a Mega Glalie using a Refrigerate boosted Explosion. Meanwhile, Sidian shows he's actually very honorable, not wanting his Pokémon to sacrifice its partner for its own victory.
I loved & laughed when it came to Sango's battle! Her loss due to the rule of 1st pokemon knocked out from either side loses & Glalie knocking itself out First with Self-Destruct to knock out everyone else definitely counts. And Onyx I sorta get why he lost: Onyx is a Soldier-Warrior. He might be my Favorite Explorer
This is solid! But damn son! Amitheo had 4 moments on screen and yet still intimidating than team imbecile! (Rocket) seeing dot and penny interact was a super cool touch, seeing liko cry broke me, I wanted to give her a hug.
As much as I hate seeing Liko look weak after losing to yet ANOTHER major opponent (she's the only one who didn't get a win at all during the Terastal Training), I do at least appreciate her having a more focused and dedicated outlook on battling Hopefully this leads to her actually getting some wins again after being done dirty two battles in a row
I agree on her getting back up & becoming stronger!!! She's Finally Found the Drive in battling!!! And now she can't wait to battle more seriously now!!!! - And if it's any consolation, Dot technically kinda doesn't have a good track record in wins during the course as she herself technically count her win against Poppy as real as it really was mainly Poppy VS Iono & Iono was the one who finished & won the battle for them in the end
5:16 I didn't realize that it looked like a Cherrim. I always assumed her hair-down look resembled a Quaxwell cause when she slicks her hair back, it kinda resmbles a Quaquaval (also Vergil from DMC but lets not elaborate on that)
the elite four episodes are definitely weird, Dot the least active member of the 3 kids manages to get a win even if it was heavily accredited to Iono, but Roy and Liko lose? also Liko's loss to Rika feels abit repetitive like how she lost to Katy, i'm not gonna say that she would've won if Rika hadn't used Terra, but Rika using it when none of the other elites did it to effectively kill any chances Liko had of winning just felt unnecessary and abit overboard. Liko finally getting more used to battles is good...though I feel like it's something they should've done sooner, but at the same time i'd be nice to see her get a win within reason, something I can't really see with her facing Grusha. Was nice to see her starter finally get a new move, considering how many move's Roy's Fuecoco's gone through it needs more attention in that department.
I guess when it comes to Liko's battle against Grusha that it'll depend on Grusha's Cetoddle; from my perspective of it, I think maybe it'll be like Brawly's Hariyama or Roark's Rampardos (I am aware that Grusha does hang around with a Cetoddle as well as also owning a Cetitan) where their Aces have just recently evolved & are still working on their new powers
I can’t wait to see how the anime will develop the friendship between Penny and Dot and how that will clash between your interpretation of their friendship
