Salt in beverages is so underrated! I use it in mocktails. Salt or saline (salt water not eye stuff, ) so it's pre dissolved and mixes well. Who knew it could save your coffee?
Definitely trying this! I think the gut reaction is “let’s add some sweetness/sugar” and put a pump or two of caramel, vanilla, etc. Who knew salt would fix unbalanced flavor? Thanks for the vid and keep it up! 👍
I have weird cases where I feel the bitterness of the coffee after drinking around half my cup, so it would be difficult to actually know if to add salt before or not. Either way, great tips, i'll definitely use them.
That's not unheard of! More often than not, heat impairs our ability to enjoy flavour! Usually you're able to taste more out of your coffee when it has cooled down a bit :)
Do you think you could just add the salt to the syrup that way your coffee is always salted coz I do find that salted coffee is just a little more rounded and rich
Of course you can! I think that depending on the syrup this will have different degrees of success. Say, a salted caramel is a true and tested delicious syrup that also works with coffee!
