At the end when you mentioned that a college degree isn't necessary to be successful, I fully heartedly agree with it because I'm also proof of it myself! I never went to college because I was scared of getting into debt. I actually didn't know this was going to happen, but I was on indeed literally applying to any job that paid over $15 an hour and I was called back by a major insurance company! Even though I had no experience, after I passed the interview they took me in and paid for insurance classes for me and my insurance certificate! Now I'm licensed in all 50 states and have freedom to move anywhere in the US and also have the choice to work from home :) and this is all before my 21st birthday this year too! *to clarify the company did pay for classes, so the certificate wasn't just handed to me, i still had to study and take a national test* . Successful doesn't always mean college, I don't want to work with insurance the rest of my life, but they pay REALLY well. And this gives me the chance to save and pay for my actual dreams with my career, travel, and life in general :) but if going to college is best for you, i'm not discouraging it. Just like Amber said, there's many ways to make it and be successful

College teach us sooo much of LIFE, not only "career related stuff". I would neeever regret it. Like you said: "you don't need a degree to be successfull", but is really amazing to do it. It make us grow ❤️ I'm doing my master's degree in Autism now, after years out of college

Thank you for speaking about the importance of College! Even though I don't use my University degree now, I learnt so much about myself, my values, how to build relationships, and be an adult because of it ! There's this myth that once you're out of college/university you magically have everything figured out, but what I think is actually true is that after all those years of hard work towards something you love, you learn to have discipline and to strive for what you want in life, and life decisions now seem easier. So, I agree, go to college if you can!

You definitely still use your Broadcast Journalism degree as a RU-vidr girl! It may not be the traditional route, but you're getting coin broadcasting your life on the Internet instead of news. Which honestly, I think is even better! :)

Thank you for saying the future is better too after college 💛 sometimes people put so much pressure that college has to be everything for you and the best time of your life and then it just goes downhill from there. You are such a light and hope!

I'm a college professor in a local uni and yes, we are passionate about what we do. I decided this is what I wanted precisely during my college years. 🥰

This made me so happy. Right now I'm a freshman in college, and with covid it's not the same. When I can go back without worries, I'm going and I'm gonna make Amber and myself proud.

Wow, honestly than you for this video. In these troubled times it is difficult to remember what is so beautiful about getting to learn new things everyday. I am from France and have chosen the most "hard-working" way of getting an education. I am currently in my fourth year (out of six but maybe nine if i am crazy enough lol) and extra curricular things are all cut off. Thankfully there are still roommates to make all of this less overwhelming. And you :). Thanks for reminding me why what I do has meaning to me, why it is still a wonderful time in my life and why I love what I do. You're a true gem

I graduated high school the year you graduated college and only did one semester of college and I’ve been scared of going back to college now as a traditional college experience and thinking I should do exclusively online but this video just gave me so much hope of how much of an amazing experience college can be. Like I don’t feel as scared of going on campus (when that’s an option due to covid...) Every single video in this series has been so motivating and inspirational and somehow gave me something I didn’t even know I needed. You always call your followers angels but Amber you are truly the angel here.

I love how even though you have your degree, you still promote that you don’t have to have a price of paper that says you are successful. My parents pushed that on me too much to the point I dropped out a year from finishing. They still hold against me to this day, but ever since I left college; I have learned so much more and found my true passion! Love you so much, Amber! As always- thank you for reminding us to chase our dreams!

this made me cry when you said it goes by so fast because i literally graduated last year and because of covid i didn't get to say goodbye to my friends or even have a graduation party and i just hope everyone watching who is going to embark on this journey has a good time and seriously make the most of it because it does go by so fast and you will miss it so much even those days when you want to give up you'll find worth it

I'm in college right now but honestly it's hard and I'm just thinking of getting an associates and live my life to the best I can. Its true like you said that you don't have to have college to be successful.

Perhaps Pepperdine could call you to come to speak at their school. Those kids can learn something from you when it comes to broadcasting. And who wants to work at a tv station these days? Those are gone in a couple of years as more networks go online.

I’m so glad you said that you need passion and direction!! I 1000% agree with these two things. People go to college all the time not knowing what they want to do, and think just having a degree is what they need. Same with people who don’t go to college but don’t have a plan on what to do next.

Amber thank you so much for everything that you do for people, and me! I've been watching your channel for years now and i love you! you are literally so inspiring and encouraging to others. My parents disagree with a lot of things that i want and love. They discourage my future, what i want to major in college, and what colleges i want to go to. They dont think i'm the type of women who is capable of teaching myself things. One night i was trying to learn about owning a business so i can own one of my own someday. Later i talked to my mom about it and she kept telling me that I cant teach myself that kind of stuff, and that I shouldn't try. Another example, i was telling my dad that when i graduate college i'm going to move in with my cousin. He said that's never going to happen and we just wont be able to make it work. Watching your video inspires me and encourages me to keep following my dreams, and not letting anyone get in the way, even if they disagree. This video particularly made me realize that I should be myself, and respect my parents but still do whats best for me and follow my dreams, not theirs. It made me realize how special your youtube channel is for me and others. You are so special. Don't give up! keep going! Because your doing AMAZING!! xoxo
