I recently revealed the genders of my two girlfriends. It got a lot of hate and now has 30 times more dislikes than likes. I am really sad that people can be so mean. Sorry for using your comment to talk about my problems, dear rachel
@@blueshoes915 and their makeup used to be so cheap as well now just a beauty sponge can cost 11$ lol that’s what happened to me last time and I was shook I expected it to be like 5$ but no
i had to search for other sunscreen options too lol, i like watching dr drays recommendations because she has a variety from chemical to physical and they usually are more affordable products
I chatted with them about polyethylene and they said this, "Hi! We understand your concerns with polyethylene, and would like to clarify about how it works in this product! The polyethylene in our formula is used to bind the ingredients together, in order to make the product "scoopable”. We’re not using the polyethylene that forms plastic micro-beads. Hope this information is helpful, please feel free to DM us with any questions! 💗"
Wow thanks for sharing the brands response! Wish there was more studies on this ingredient! I wouldn’t expect it to be like micro beads since it’s a kind of “liquid plastic” but we really don’t know how bad it is so it’s weird how companies can use it as much as they want (not even targeting elf more just in cleansing balms when they do use a lot of it)
I think part of the issue for them is price, vegan, and cruelty free products. Finding things that already exist and don't require testing that match their product goals may not happen any time soon.
@@rn2787 Theres a lot of cleared products and Ingredients, as seen on Cruelty-Free Websites but it’s mainly the issue of that list then being filtered by vegan and price. Unfortunately there are times where Animal Testing can come in handy but it’s still inhumane...
@@freyabowen2779 I was commenting about why ELF would choose to use an ingredient when others would not. ELF's whole brand is about affordable, vegan, and cruelty free beauty so when they use an ingredient all of that has to be met. Hyram and others are confused about the use of a type of plastic in their products which is probably due to one or more of those factors.
omg okay but totally, I’ve been really feeling more down than usual this week and all of the sudden his upload appeared, today is gonna be an okay day 👴💅
For everyone who is new here ! ! - we don't like fragrance - eye creams are the same as moisturizers - YES to niacinamide - we live for the ordinary, Paulas choice, krave beauty and cerave - we love salicylic acid - the tight feeling after washing is NOT iconic sis - big NO to face wipes - we live for chemical exfoliation - we don't love physical exfoliation - peel of masks are stripping DIY skincare is definitely not pretty - we shimmy at the start of each video -lastly, sunscreen is a mustt! - lastly, Hyram is awesome!
Omg thank you so much! It's like you just gave me all your skin care notes I literally screenshotted! I've been struggling with blackheads and pores and have been watching hours of videos!
Elf is an amazing brand in general, & I just have to give a special shout out to them for sticking to their principles about being cruelty free and not stooping to the all time low that drugstore brands such as Wet n’ Wild & Physician’s Formula have by selling out to China.
@@dj_mandy Yeah it sucks. :/ They were. Their products were spotted being sold in China a while back. They gave an odd claim that they were able to bypass their animal testing laws but what it boils down to is that they’re relying on China to let them know if they need to test one of their products so that Wet n’ Wild can “officially” stop selling their brand there, but we all know that a country who is hell bent on animal testing more than likely wouldn’t bother letting them know, they’d just do their testing and get back on with it. I don’t like a brand having to rely on a country that is notorious for their cruelty to animals to “let them know” when a product needs to be tested.
But Elf is available in China now. Since 2020 they have an official online store. The law in China has changed recently and cruelty free brands can sell some products here. When I moved to China I had to bring a suitcase full of different products each time I flew here. Now I can get a lot of things without much hussle.
here’s some skincare knowledge and self positivity!Hope you find this useful! 1: We Stan the ordinary, the inky list, youth to the people, cerea VE,krave beauty, Paulas choice and curology. 2:We dislike Mario badescu, clean and clear, most of neutrogena products, most of tatcha products, kiley skin, pixi skin,la mer and many more 3: fragrance is a BIG no👎🏻. It can can cause many problems like irritation, rashes, pimples, acne and many more! 4: Mario badescu sprays are just fragrance in water💧 5: makeup wipes do more harm than good ( for your skin and the environment) 6: double cleanse if you wear makeup and or sunscreen 7: chemical exfoliating is way better than physical exfoliating 8: everyone’s skin is different 9: everyone needs to moisturize even if you have oily skin 10: use what works for you 11: fragrance is fine in a wash off treatment but not on a leave on treatment like moisturizer, surum, essence etc 12: be gentle with your skin 13: natural is not always better 14: sunscreen is the most important part of a skin care routine and should be used after everything else 15: eye creams are just expensive moisturizers and are not necessary , just use your regular moisturizer 16: our enemy is st. Ives apricot scrub😳 17: diy skincare is a no, most of them use essential oils (which are just as irritating as regular fragrance) and any of the good benefits that you could be getting from the ingredients are most like lost when you cut the fruit or vegetable open. But I personally recommend outing raw honey on your face 18: enjoy yourself while doing your skincare and think of it as your you time 19: try to recycle ♻️ your empty skincare containers ♻️ 🌱 🌎 20: a good and simple routine should have 4 steps, cleanser(this includes cleansing balms, oils etc), exfoliate, moisturizer, and the most important of them all, sunscreen. 21: ingredients to avoid. Denatured/SD alcohol, ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, polyvinyl alcohol(avoid these when they are in the first 6 ingredients). Avoid fragrance/parfum. Avoid fragrant essential oils (they are okay if they are at the end of the ingredient list). And avoid citrus extracts (lime, orange, lemon etc) 22: only use st Ives as a foot scrub🦶🏻 23: don’t touch a facial dropper directly on skin because it can/will cause bacteria buildup 24: we love niacinamide 25: remember that just because something doesn’t work on you that doesn’t mean it not a good product, vise versa ---------YOU ARE-------- ✨beautiful✨ ✨worthy✨ ✨talented✨ ✨loved✨ ✨people are proud of you✨ ✨you deserve to be loved✨ ✨you deserve to be treated good✨ This is a safe space no matter your sexuality, race, religion, gender identity ✨you are VALID✨ ✨your problems are VALID✨ Hope this was informative. I bought my 68 year old mom their hydration cream and she loves it. We both have dry skin and she has never had a skincare routine. This is dipping her toe into the skincare world.
ELF is my favorite drugstore brand hand down!! 🙌🙌 I was using other "high-end" products and wasn't impressed at all. Absolutely loooooooooove the Holy Hydration line!! 💗💗💗💗
I feel like Superhydrate Moisturizer is definitely for oily skin with its gel like texture. Worked wonders for my boyfriend who has oily skin as opposed to mine which is dry. I still have leftovers lol
I have extremely dry and sensitive skin, & I love putting the Elf SuperHydrate Moisturizer under my more rich cream based one! I feel like it helps to keep my face hydrated and glowing for even longer!! Plus I live for that snow mushroom extract that’s pretty high up in the ingredients list! 😂 It soothes irritated skin and seals in moisture much better than Hyaluronic Acid does.
I have dry, sensitive skin and Superhydrate is my go to. It even calms my skin when it's irritated. It's part of my routine when I have to go back to basics because it's so gentle, in my experience.
I have to agree with all my other dry skin peeps here! I have dry and irritated skin, and when My skin is particularly sensitive i use this moisturizer and it’s literally the only moisturizer that doesn’t make my skin burn. Cerave stings and so does everything else except this one! I love it so much 💜
@@karlanuno95 maybe it’s because you guys have sensitive skin, mine is dry but not sensitive. I hate the moisturizer because it doesn’t hydrate or moisturize my skin at all....it worked well for oily skin but we both hated the texture hahah
@@asiasias that may be it! I have to use it in conjunction with a heavier moisturizer after but I like using this one first because it feels like my skin just drinks it up and then I seal in that hydration with a thicker moisturizer. I feel like I need two moisturizing steps, one getting water into my skin and another one that gives my skin the oils it lacks as well. Only using a single moisturizer always feels incomplete if that makes sense
I discovered skincare from Hyram after getting in to makeup when I was fourteen during a hospital stay. Hyram, your videos have helped me find a new interest and passion that I can do despite my health. Chronic illness has left me pale as heck and with sensitive skin (hospitals are the driest, coldest place on earth). Skincare has always been something I can bring wherever I go and no matter where my health is at any given time. Thank you Hyram for dropping some knowledge and helping me find a new passion! ❤️
I was at the drugstore with my husband and he points at elf and says "eyes, lips, face". Just freaking fell in love all over again 😂. He is 35 so that is a big deal lol
My skin has improved 100% since starting my elf skin care routine. I love the way it makes me feel. I use the holy hydration line - cleanser, moisturizers including the night cream and eye cream, and now, the vitamin C. I also love the face mists. I have been doing this for about a year now. I am 63 years old and although i already had nice skin before using the products, it was even nicer after. I wholeheartedly recommend!
Their cleansing balm is great, removes all my make up including my mascara, I actually enjoy it more than what used to be my favorite which was the inky oat cleansing balm
Thank you. I lost my job. I had to accept ELF as my current skincare. I'm happy to hear you liked some products. I am a fan of the Holy Hydration cream, but I have very dry skin. Thanks again.
I tried the Happy Hydration moisturizer after running out of my discontinued eye cream, and use it as a nightly moisturizer after my hyaluronic acid and before tretinoin. Absolutely love it. Interestingly enough, my skin HATED the cerave moisturizer cream but calmed down after I bought another jar of the happy hydration one.
I'd love to see you do a video about Lumin or maybe some of the other viral "men's skincare" routines out there. I know they're bad, but Lumin was my first time trying out skincare before I found your channel and got much better products. So I'm curious just how bad it was!
love your new backdrop hyram! but I think get rid of the plant going across your shelf on the top and use that space for your fav skincare products like you used to! Xx
The elf watermelon jelly moisturizer is my absolute favorite thing ever. It smells nice and its light and best of all it doesnt aggravate my psoriasis 😄 their new mint melt cleanser is also amazing
I love the Holy Hydration face cream, unscented. It has peptides that have really helped my mature skin~ I appreciate the face that you reviewed these products from Elf as it is one of my favorite brands for makeup as well. It's cruelty free, affordable, and the customer service is first rate!
I adore E.L.F they are my favourite drugstore brand. I like that everything is pretty simple, affordable and cruelty free. Their products really work well for my skin so I’m glad they pass the Hyram test!
I'm 49 and have struggled with super dry skin the past few years. I bought the Holy Hydration Eye Cream a couple of months ago out of desperation, having tried numerous eye creams that made my eye area worse and worse. This one from ELF saved my eye skin and my wrinkle situation is looking better than it has for a few years. The other day I saw ELF was half off at Kroger, and I thought I would give the Holy Hydration Face Cream a shot, and so far I love it! I'm allergic to cannabis oil, so I'm glad to see this one didn't have that as some other formulations do. Yay ELF!
Hyram: If you clicked on this video, you know elf skincare Me: no, no, I am from eastern Europe, we don't have this brand, I'm just watching to spend some time with Hyram
It would be really cool if you could take away the leafs that lay on the shelf so you could still place products on it🤔🙏🙏 I don't wanna miss the legendary "products on the shelf"🥺❤️
The Holy Hydration! Daily Cleanser is so good! It removes makeup so well, including waterproof makeup! I usually need to use an oil and then a cleanser, but this cleanser works so well on its own!
OMG how did I miss this video!!! Thank you for reviewing e.l.f products - I love the Super Hydrate and All the Feels oil and so glad that you also find them to be good products! You're reviews are always so informative. Thank you for always providing your honest feedback and educating us about skincare :)
I love ELF makeup, they are so good for a drug store brand but am usually skeptical when makeup brands decide to jump into skincare, so this video is a huge help!
I would totally agree that they do have a lot of moisturizers - to the point where sometimes, I’m just not sure which moisturizer to buy and I get overwhelmed! But this video was very helpful in describing what’s useful and etc. thank you!!
i know the skincare community is not traditionally a huge fan of eyecreams but tbh i love elfs and its one of the few that i'll buy bc it legit has a different ingredient list than their other moisturizers. it doesnt necesarrily get rid of my dark circles buuuut it does keep them moisturized without causing milia while still being thick enough to seemingly brighten the under eye area. also not super expensive so you arent losing a whole lot by giving it a try.
Yes this would be the perfect video!! I am 31 weeks and I feel like I can’t use anything haha. Even as an esthetician it’s so hard to find good pregnancy safe skincare!
Watching your videos Hyram is even better than Netflix like I am obsessed and you changed my Skin Care Game so much for the better...I feel just so amazing knowing what I put on my face is good for my skin and whenever a friend comes to me with a problem I can just help them because we were taught by the best...can't wait to get my boyfriend on the game...you deserve so much Hyram for your amazing content, thank you❤
@@leylanipaola yes, i know :) but i think they sell their products in china, where animal testing is required for brands to be able to manifacture their products there. i would feel a bit better if there was an alternative that was 100% cruelty free :p thank you, though!
Hi Hyram! Thank you so much for the education! You have me reading every ingredient list! You are going to go into shock when I say this...I am 59 yrs old and just started a "skincare routine" about 3 months ago. Before, it was Dove Soap and whatever lotion was handy. I would love it if you would do a few videos for us "older" ladies! I have been using elf products. I am noticing some difference from your review 3 years ago. Thinking about an update? Again, thank you sooo much! Know that you are loved and appreciated!!
Thank you for doing this video! I have combo skin, along with rosacea I was using high end skin care and it made it worse. Also got dermatitis all over too, the cause was floral extract . Then I got the Holy Hydration line from e.l.f. and with in a week my skin cleared up. Even my rosacea calmed down. Very happy with e.l.f., highly recommend :)
My whole entire affordable skin care routine products/brands are from your recommendations, thank you! My skin feels so much better! The happy hydration cream is one of my faves!!!
Hey Dear whoever is reading this, I wish there was a way for everyone to erase all sadness and stress and just replace it with happiness. You have an entire galaxy and a beautiful life ahead of you. I wish all of you plenty of health and strenght during these tough times. You are loved, you are strong, you got this! Never forget that! Sending much Love over from Germany ♥️
Hey hyram! I’m having an allergic reaction to the ordinary’s hyaluronic acid. I have these bumps on my face and they itch. Can you please help me out on what I should do to clear it up?
Dude I used the red solution thing from ordinary and my skin literally improved overnight 👁👄👁 My acne looks much calmer and smooth, my skin looks so shiny, but not greasy, just healthy!!!
I recently purchased the e.l.f Happy Hydration Cream and I’m obsessed! I have combo skin and this is my go to for my night routine :) and I just purchased the e.l.f. Superhydrate and I’m so excited to try it out and since you are loving it too I’m now even more excited!🔥🔥🔥
