What I like about Fabrizio is, he does not hype himself and just report whatever its true, unlike other journalists. And he often does twitch streams where he plays FIFA and just randomly talks about his life and football news, and predicts transfers.
Romano is deffo a tap-in merchant especially for some clubs like most Prem clubs but for most Italian and Spanish clubs I'd say hes pretty much a tier 1 source for them. Atleast he's not as bad as 'bad news Pearce'
Nah here in Spain he mostly gets his information from Josep Pedrerol, probably the most prestigious journalist in the country who has contacts in almost every club here, I believe Fabrizio has mentioned him many times as well if I'm correct
Tbf, you were way too nice about him in this video, regarding the situation at hand. I can't imagine how it must feel to the unknown journalists working their asses off only to get their stories nabbed by a big-shot journalist
Di Marzio's understudy becoming the the go-to guy for transfer news because he started using google translate for his tweets before his boss did is hilarious
WHen this popped up in my notifs, I thought this was gonna be an expository video about how Fabrizio kicks the heads off of kids so hard they start to propell up into the air
I learned about Fabrizio when Jadon joined United with the famous “Here We Go”. I didn’t instantly trust him, because who’ll instantly trust a source you’ve never seen. Jadon joined and I started following Fabrizio’s twitter with notifications and I rely on him for literally any transfer news.
Majority of his tweets doesn’t have the “exclusive” tag and people just assume that it’s an exclusive. There’s no journalist that’s the first to find out about everything.
*FUN FACT:* Fabrizio Romano works on CBS Sports as Soccer Insider & Transfer Specialist meanwhile David Orstein works with both Sky Sports & NBC Sports for Premier League as their Soccer Insider.
To be fair to Romano on the Antony deal, I think he got the exclusive from Antony’s agent and Mike Verweij got the exclusive from his sources inside the club. I say this because if you remember, Fabrizio also got an exclusive interview with Antony’s agent about this whole Ajax-Antony situation. Which means Romano had direct contacts with Antony’s agent.
The only real issue with Fabrizio imo is that he doesn't always credit other journalists if they reported a news story before him. Other than that, he's clearly got good contacts in certain areas and he never just posts random speculation. He's done a really good job of maintaining a social media presence as a journalist.
his brand is about being always right, not always first. other journalists will break rumors that are sometimes true, he only breaks them when he knows they're true. sometimes that means other people get there first before it's 100 percent sure
Romano getting spanked by Romero last summer (re: Barcelona transfers which isn't surprising because Barca use mouthpieces so if he's not one of them, he doesn't have the info pipeline) was a great source of entertainment, tbh.
This is the first time, in 25 years of living, that I’ve heard someone use the word ‘harangue’. Good job Niran. Other than providing us the laughs, the news, we also got free English education 😂
The thing about Fabrizio is most people don’t care if he’s the first to break the news because he only reports guaranteed transfers. If he says it then it’s a done deal. That is why people follow him
You can't mention the Partey transfer to Arsenal without giving props to AFC Bell! My man stood so firmly on his ground that he would end up at Arsenal, despite everyone else sayin that he wouldn't go to Arsenal. The real GOAT of the football transfer world 🔥
I think you make some good points but I'm guessing that you can accuse other journalist of doing the same thing. No saying it's right but I doubt he's the first or last journalist to ever "steal content" like you said one source could give the same info to different journalist and the time line of their tweets could make it seem as if someone is stealing from someone else. I think he catches a lot of the attention because he is so high profiled.
"I am a trained journalist, I have my degree, ROTTING somewhere in an artic" 😂😂😂 the you present such information Mr Yusuf from Nigeria really amuses me
Everyone: how can he get Fabrizio Romano get away with nicking other journalists stories? Me: it’s because he’s Italian mate. It’s what they all do. My best mates are Italians and they always nicked my answers for exam papers and now they’re in journalism too. Coincidence right? It’s just a fact. There we go!
I personally do not care if we hear it first from the donnie down the road or not, Fabrizio makes it available for a broader audience and that’s what matters. he should definitely start crediting the pleb journalists tho and stop being a fame seeking plagiarist.
I think with other journalists they'll focus too much on rumors because they want clicks and views whereas Fabrizio only shares news he himself is certain about even if he gets things wrong, most of those cases are because clubs hijack transfers or players change their mind last minute which no one can really predict.
Last time I was this early ronaldo still played for juventus, PSG were in the champions league final and niran had not trim. This the Fabrizio effect???
To be honest, Fabrizio is way more reliable when it comes to world transfer than any of these other journalist. Is he wrong sometimes? Yes he's human. But nobody has the reputation he has when it comes to football transfers. No one.
