I just started watching this video but, based on the title, I'll add my 2 cents- As a 63 year old senior citizen, I consider "less lethal" for situations like aggressive dogs and maybe drunks or crackheads on my property. But once someone enters my house with ill intent- All bets are off- It's lethal city. I do realize that location figures into it, but I'm in GA, a constitutional carry state. Y'all put out some great stuff for the market.
I would love to see what those would do to a raw chicken or marrow soup bone. Maybe do a test with a ham leg with denim wrapped around it? Give us a real world taste of what would happen. I've been wanting to get a high powered less lethal but from what I've seen them do...its hard to be convinced. That being said, what you've demonstrated here was impressive to say the least
Here in California all of those would be considered illegal and confiscated by the police. They have so many laws about airsoft guns and anything over 16 Joules is considered a weapon under California law. This is probably why most companies won't ship to California unless they've made a CA compliant version of their launchers. I just had a long talk about the Byrna launcher with a Lieutenant with the Police Department here where I live in SoCal. Don't even get me started about the use of Pepperballs here as they are considered a hazardous material and are banned to the average citizen here unless you're law enforcement or military police. I took and passed the Byrna BSIS Chemical Agent Certification exam and I was warned about the use of Pepperballs rounds in public as well as in a residential building.
@@psi.defence.channel They would actually if your caught using one in public. The Byrna falls just under that limit so I am able to use the Kinetic rounds to defend myself and honestly those rounds hurt like hell when you get hit by one. But using it in public could still get you in some trouble if you miss your attacker and hit someone else or damage someone's property. I was also told that the Police will treat them like a real firearm until they can verify it's not if someone calls in a report of someone with a gun. Apparently it's very common for criminals around the country now to paint real firearms Orange or Yellow, or Blue etc... So they look like toys to try to hide what they are really carrying. The Lieutenant said that he's seen reports from around the State as well as around the Country from other departments warning of this. You might want to look into this in your area and warn your subscribers about this stuff iso they can keep safe if they're carrying their Less than Lethal launchers with them just in case.

Great video. Thank you for the info. I'm doing a build from a crap P365. Got most of the details worked out in my head, just got to transfer it onto paper. And thats where it all goes wrong. Drawing is definitely not my strong point but gonna keep trying. If successful it will be nearly as powerful as the gavel but smaller. Don't waste money on a Sig Sauer. My replacement doesn't work right either so if I'm successful, I make another.
I am glad I came across this video. I have been looking at DK for a while, and I have noticed his prices are more than other sites with the same claimed joules. I will be sure to xheck our your wares in the future if I decide to purchase one in the future.
I would start with an FSC. Put a male sig heat core o-ring in it and turn it all the way up. That's good for about 35 joules. You can build it up over time and have a monster rifle or compact carbine.

At the joules your weapons are set at, will a pepper ball stand up without breaking apart inside the barrel? or should you only use kinetic rounds? Thanks for subscribing. Take a look back at some of my older videos. There's a ton of useful content! I did a video using Grimburg KinetiCS rounds at over 80 joules! I can't speak for other irritant rounds, but those held up very well!
Well, the gavel is purpose-built for concealed carry which comes with limitations. If you want to protect your house you might as well go for the gusto! But out and about with their KenetiCS rounds I would be very comfortable out in public.

How do you store a magfed valken M17 for less lethal? Can the hpa tank be stored attached with a on/off valve? New to LL because I need something to protect my home, not allowed to have a firearm. Greatly appreciate your help. Thanks
TCRs are pretty cool and you can get a reliable 50+ joules. In my opinion the platform has too many failure points internally so it's a must that it's kept well maintained. The VKS is the king with FSC carbines coming in a close second!
Thanks for your informative videos. Why is it so difficult to find a full mag chrono with a 16g co2 side arm? This is why I haven't purchased one yet. What's the 2nd 3rd ect shot get? If I don't like the numbers i then would know I need to add a tank. I'm on the fence on what to buy.
Like this video. I’m new to the hobby but my question for you since you seem educated in this . What would be good for HD. I like how you set yours up. I want something that can put a house intruder on the ground in pain with one shot. I’ve been looking at grimbergs stock and custom FSC or the bigger VKS. Im yet to get the salt supply s2 its 20joules on first shots, I have a mercury rise mub 50 and only 14 to 17 joules on 2.8 gram allumimun balls, mixed with pepper rounds, only face shots a work I guess😆🤷, the byrna ep, sd, is weak only 10 joules, thats a toy, the le has leaking issues!

@@David_Mash sounds pretty complicated. I'm good with Grimburg rounds. Especially in the house. If you shoot pepper powder indoors you could choke yourself on it. Outside there's a chance the wind could carry most of it away 🤷🏾♂️
With HPA there's virtually no dropoff. I only chronoed the first few shots because DK and New Guy O'Brien said that high powered launchers couldn't be rapid fired. No CO2 does drop off about 10-20fps per shot.

You don't necessarily have to show numbers in order to prove a point of what air guns or any other type of gun can do. I have video of an AEA HP SS .25 cal sending H&N hornets through a car door from 12-25 yards away like butter. It performed better than some hand pistol videos I've seen on RU-vid and they were much closer but people said that was enough to stop whoever just because it was a firearm. Better results from an airgun and yet ppl said it wouldn't work because it being an airgun. I'm convinced from just seeing the results of what my air weapons can do than depending on a Chrono test.
I've run the game bit on practical demonstration videos. I've shot through steel pans, wood boards, exploded coconuts and demolished massive ice blocks. I hear what you're saying about PCPs. They I'll pretty much shoot their projectiles at well over a thousand FPS. Their power is pretty much established for most people that are aware of them. Modified paintball markers however are slightly different story. Since they're not designed for such high power and have to be modified to achieve the numbers we get, I feel that chronographing and showing ballistic info is important and establishing the relevance of Less Lethal as a defensive option. I only buy from Daniel Sterling I have purchased quite a few parts and a couple guns and only had one or two problems that were not even issues involving him but warranty issues on some of the furniture that came on the gun and he was right there to swap it out no questions asked I had my stuff before he had his stuff back that's just what kind of guy he is sometimes I text message him with issues no problem at all he's right back to me with a solution therefore when I have a problem or need something I go through him I don't have to worry about whether I'm going to receive it or not and if I do receive it whether I'll have backup in regards to any issues that might come with it whether it be warranty or something I just don't understand. When you find somebody like that your best to hold on to him especially in the last lethal community in my opinion whether you like his personality or not he's a stand-up guy and backs up everything he sells. I hardly get props to anybody but Daniel Sterling and grimberg are two of the best out there I'm sure Les lethal is the same I just haven't used you yet but because you're in the same Circle as Daniel Sterling I would trust you.
59 foot pounds or approximately 79.9990 joules is what is considered potentially fatal force of impact depending on projectile weight, configuration and other factors
I put my email address in every video. This TCP was put on a drill press and had holes tapped to accommodate the VKS cap mod. In total the machine work and parts would be more than you paid for the gun. I recommend just getting a Cymrutec 16 g mag, 6-in SSD barrel, PRV delete kit and Grimburg JUL V2s. It will be powerful and consistent at about 42 joules.
Those markers look mean in semi auto. I don't know why you would even consider shooting somebody who has already broke in your house, only one time. I don't think there is a police or military member that has ever been taught to do that. You shoot until the threat is over. You always establish fire superiority right off the bat. Other than that, don't get so caught up in the drama man. I didn't even know all that was going on. I think your name and markers speak for itself man. People trust you. Videos like this aren't even necessary. If you want to vent then do it to your friends, not the world. What you say is what your business says. Just saying. You don't see CEO's of big companies do this. It doesn't look good. Let the quality of your products speak for you.
I mainly spoke out to the misinformation about protecting yourself with underpowered guns. Definitely shoot until the threat is over, but even the military who has m4s with full auto capability will tell you they either semi-auto fire them or three round burst fire. I wasn't saying I'll only shoot once, I was saying that one shot at 70 joules with aZ-RAM as far more effective than 20 rounds at 30 joules. Pray and spray just doesn't get the job done as effectively. I can see what you're saying but too much nonsense was being put out.

Both Henry and DS are holding back on the drama a lot IMO. Could easily get dragged in, with all the misinfo allover the groups and people talking shit. Yet, they barely even reply to it. The thing is, i've been missing replies from these guys, and am glad to see them respond. And that's not drama imo, thats just wrapping up the debate. All the drama eventually let to an important discussion, and some things had to be adressed (for newbies such as myself, who wants to know the truth in this). There is a lot to learn from both this video, and the one DS just uploaded, which is also a response to the ongoing debate. Nothing wrong about that, quite the contrary
