Son of God means the messengers who carry the message AND the people who obey the commandments of God. In Islam, we also have commandments that we should follow to be a good Muslim. I have a HUGE list of 42 verses in the bible where it proves that Jesus (p.b.u.h.) was not God OR never CLAIMED to be God. And I ask you to give me the verse where Jesus himself says that he is God OR Worship me. And according to your bible, Jesus used to pray with his HEAD DOWN, yes just like the Muslims do. And I have a question for you, If God does not have a beginning or an end, how did Jesus is born and dead according to your bible ?? According to Islam, he was born miraculously and was NOT DEAD, instead he was raised up in Heaven by Allah Almighty and will descend near the end of times. And if you believe that Jesus is God because of the miraculous birth, Prophet Adam (p.b.u.h) should be considered a bigger god according to this because he didn't have a father nor a mother. For example about Allah's capability, Allah had a very poor logic for his claim: Allah himself claimed he can recite some verses in Arabic human language, but he could not appear or live in his creature, such as man, to communicate to his creature directly, whereas the true GOD is not limited by any dimension (time, space, matter, energy, relationship...) and God can exist everywhere in different forms to do different roles at the same time as desired!!! Its hilarious to me that Christians have to check different versions of the same thing, different bibles, old, new, testaments, where Islam only has one. And yet they say Islam is false. If you keep rewriting a book it stops being the book of God and becomes the book of man. If you ever played broken telephone you whisper one word to the next, they to the next and so on, at the end the word is completely different than what it started as. That's how the bible essentially became written.
Hi Ernes Omeragic . Just wanted to respond to your comment: there is 1 Bible out there. The problem is you're applying the same test to the Quran and Bible when they don't do that themselves. The test for the Quran is that for it to be a "real" Quran, it has to be written in exactly same word order, exactly same words, with same grammar and vocabulary from 6/7th century Arabia (and even same pronunciation?). If that's the test the Quran applies to itself, who I am to argue with that? However, the Bible does not say the same thing. The Bible is written as a message. Let me give you an example. I speak Spanish, and so have read large parts of Bible in Spanish and have read the whole thing in English. You would be right, completely different word order, vocabulary, grammar.... completely different language! But exactly, absolutely exactly the same message. That's why as a Christian when I went to Spain I had the same fellowship, worship, spirit of prayer AND SAME MESSAGE AND BIBLE that I would have with Christians in my own country. We are all connected to the same source, the same God and the same message. This is simply our belief and experience- I'm not saying you have to agree with it. If you want to find the original book, all you have to do is read the Old Testament in hebrew, or read the New Testament in the Greek it was written in. One place you can do that online is here, whilst comparing to English version: biblehub.com . But its not a necessary thing to do, and you can read it in your own language, and a more modern version to understand what God was saying. We believe that God allowed His Message to be written in this way so that all nations could understand His message, in their own languages.
We have the one book one message. We have different versions because the lenguaje change over time and our lenguaje varies in every region. For example: the Spanish we speak in USA is different to the one speak in South America or Spain. When I started reading the Bible, I had a very old version, I read it but I couldn't understand and I was distracted. A friend give me another version that was printed around 1900, it was good and the message was more clear. My church give me a actual version that is with the terminology I speak now, so much easy to understand. Of course, it has become a problem, I think, because some words change and it can be understood different depending of the culture of each person.

This son of god concept was introduced by the Romans, the council of Nicea, etc and you can read about it. Abraham or Ibrahim (May Peace Be Upon Him) was a monotheist and broke the pagan idols. When anyone says God has taken a son, the heavens are ready to be ripped apart as God or Allah SWT will never forgive those who worship anything other than HE, or they dont believe in HIM, or they say HE has taken a son or daughter. Those who say God has taken a son will remain in hell for eternity because they are lying. Jesus (May Peace Be Upon Him) was a human like you and me, he was not crucified but it was made to appear to the people and was taken to heaven and this is why he will come back again alive. Muslims also await Jesus (May Peace Be Upon Him) If Jesus (May Peace Be Upon Him) birth was a miracle which it was, then Adam's (May Peace Be Upon Him) birth or creation was a bigger miracle, and Eve or Huwa (May Peace Be Upon Her) was another miracle but they were not God's. Jesus did not tells you to woship him, he asked you to worship your maker. i converted to islam because you people call mary mother of God. It doesnt make any sence to me for God is the highest has no father no mother no son. U cant defend chritianity with mother 30 différents types of bibles. I know the bible more than i know the Quran but i decided to choose Islam for jesus mentioned there will be a conforter after he left.

If all the prophets are equal why did John the Baptist say that he was not even worthy to untie the straps of Jesus's sandels. Listen what John the Baptist told about Jesus "But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 17 His winnowing fork is in his hand to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” (Luke 3:15-17).
You had a good point! Islam was a poor faith with many confusions! That's why Islam banned people to question Allah or Moh... b/c the Quran author only was free to claim... without logic, artifact, and witness! He told Muslim to kneel down around one stone for worship, then Muslims must close their eyes and ears to do it without comment like the Arab pagan worship way at the pre-Islam time!!!

parker - Loving your Islam is your own choice, but the errors and deception in the Quran is another issue that you could not deny! For example, the Quran author made some naked errors... when he thought the Mother of Jesus was "the sister of Aaron", and the "daughter of Amram" (who was the father of Moses, Aaraon, and Mariam who lived 1,500 years before the birth of Jesus). Moreover, the Quran also thought Mary was one of 3 gods in the Trinity (namely Allah, Mary, and Jesus) instead of the true Trinity consisting of 3 divine persons (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit - without Mary)! AMEN???

Ma sha allah! A beautiful lecture..... Though I heard some of the things that he made mention, this is the first lecture i heard the complete story of Mariam & Isha (peace be upon him). We are given only one life as part of a test from Allah, making the proper choice in this life is better than it is too late on the day of judgement.
