You are very blessed to have such a beautiful supportive family and to be able to have these experiences at such a young age it is something to be very very proud of
Amanda & Stephen have given you the skills, knowledge and confidence to move forward with your life as a young adult. Reese you have bright future ahead of you.
Wow, Reese! I've lived on my own a long time and moved a lot of times. Your advice was on point! It's especially true what you said about the importance of getting out and meeting people. You have to push yourself at first, and I find it can take about a year to get really solid friends (less when you're younger). At a new church or whatever, I look at the strangers and remind myself that many of them are really awesome, I just don't know it yet!
Reese, your such a mature and responsible young lady, most of todays 18 yr olds don’t move out. Your making your parents so proud with these milestones of life that your just flying through…. Stay safe and blessed
You have a great family with a great support system. You're mature and will do just fine. I first had roommates, then lived alone, then got married. I felt good about myself knowing I could take care of myself. Very proud of you!
Hey Reese, you are as sincere, intelligent and authentic as your young parents. I just want to wish you all the best for a joyous and meaningful future and thank you for sharing parts of your journey. Looking forward to the next vlog. Much love 🥰
I've lived alone for decades. One thing to do is to have your apt key out and ready to use before you leave your car. So that if if needed you can get in your place quickly and you're not fumbling with your keys at your door.
My goodness Reese, you are so mature, well spoken and introspective for an 18 year old. That is not intended as a criticism of 18 year olds. But perhaps many of them just dont have a lot of "life experience" at that stage of their lives to reflect the same level of maturity that you show. It's great to see. Because I think you will "be well". Also, it is so sweet to see the degree of affection you have for your family.
I love watching your vlogs ! I have daughters that are 19 and 18 the oldest is a freshman at ORU in Tulsa . I love watching amazing kids like you loving Jesus and spreading their wings .
Well done Reese ❤️ I see lots of comments about asking which city you live in. You and I know that it’s all because lots of people love you and they don’t mean bad. But you really don’t need to mention that love. Because your privacy and safety comes first
I moved away from home when I was 16 and went to a school almost 4h away on train. It have so many positive things coming with it but on the other hand it can be lonely
You are such a sweet young lady and your parents are so proud of you I know your dad misses you a lot everyone else says but I know your dad does you and your dad have a special bond that is so nice I can't wait to see some more of your videos I enjoy them just like I enjoy your parents wish you many many blessings
Hey Reese! Good advice for young people moving out. I also hate the bugs and mice (I have had both). Totally freaks me out!! I was also living alone dealing with that!! You are wise beyond your years. Living alone really creates your own independence. I love that you are taking advantage of going out with friends and just meeting new people. I would always have to force myself to go out, but once I got there I always had a good time. The Pandemic really messed up things for people. Now that it is slowing down we have another world crisis going on. I am sorry that you have to see all of this back to back at such a young age. As always, please be healthy, happy and safe.
Don't worry about the bugs, Reese, JoJo will take care of them, mostly at night when the bugs are moving around and JoJo's huntress instinct comes out.
I’m 22 and moved out at 18. I’m not married but i’m still super cautious because my husband is military and never home. They have these alarms on amazon you can put on your windows or doors that are super cheap and come with a pack of 4 i highly highly recommend them
Great video! Loved hearing about your experiences! You’re in such an exciting time in your life. I pray that the Lord will work in your life and draw you closer to Him as you adjust to being a young adult living independently! Exciting times!
Just now watching this now!! I’m one of those people who will get lonely. I’m also not ready to move out. I’m independent but dependable on my parents and I’m OK with that. I hate saying goodbye too. That’s great you knew people before moving there. I’m such an introvert and with COVID, it’s so hard for me to get out and meet others. I work at a grocery store, checker and it’s really social there but I need more fun social things
I would highly reccomend looking into content insurance. It's usually pretty cheap and often bundled with car insurance. Even if you know your careful, you never know your neighbours. I was told, to basically imagine shaking your appt upside down and having to pay to replace all that stuff (not what you originally spent, but what it costs today to buy a replacement item). Also it's often in the fine print of a lease that its required and should a fire/flood be deemed your fault, they could cancel your lease and it makes it hard to get a place somewhere with that on your rental history. Also one other tip, I was looking for a place and having a hard time. I went on to kijiji and did a wanted add, explained that we were a professional working couple who needed a place that was pet friendly, had a yard etc. I had someone message me the next day, they had just bought a house that they were planning to rent. It worked out perfect and we have been happy here ever since. 😊 Congratulations on your new home. Your couch is gorgeous and I envy your Florida weather (im near Toronto Cananda brr). All the best ❤️
You and your family are so sweet I comment on their page a lot. They lift me when I am down. You are truly blessed young lady to have parents you do. 💕
These are genuinely really great and useful tips for anyone moving out of home for the first time! Such a big step to take, you should be so proud of yourself! You're killing it!
Good job Reese, you have a lovable family, being independent you will learn how to spend like what you need first than what you want. Always save for your future and always stay safe. Keep it up watching fr. Philippines.
Reese you're an amazing young lady & I love that your vlogging again ❤ I can totally agree with everything you talked about living alone. Your place is so cute & jojo is adorable
As a gramma, I am way impressed with how you are doing with moving out. Shoot, I get scared thinking about doing that when I was 18. My best friend and I had thought we would move in together when we turned 18 but life got in the way. (We are still best friends by the way). But I have a ton of respect for you to have a goal and you are acting on that goal. You are on your way and will go far in life. You have a good head on your shoulders and after clearly using it.
You are so brave to not only move out on your own, but in a new state! I don't know that I could have done that. Looks like you and JoJo are settling in nicely though😊💜.
Another great video :) Jojo is so cute! Just a tip on cat food: Cats are obligate carnivores and need a high meat content food to thrive. Kibble is by default extremely high in carbs and many use poor ingredients like corn and meat byproducts, which are terrible for our pets. Cats also need food with a high moisture content since they don’t drink a lot and need the water, so dry food is not ideal. I’d recommend switching to a wet food! A bit more expensive but much better for cat health in the long term :)
I do a combination of both wet food and hard good. Hard food is always in the bowl. Wet food is changed daily. I use science diet hard food and fancy feast pate wet food.
Hi Reese! Along with your sharp keychain, you can buy a device that's called BIRDIE. I heard about it on a podcast just recently from Sadie Robertson's channel. The device will fit on your keychain and it's a personal alarm that has a 130 decibel alarm and flashing strobe light. Glad you are enjoying florida and you haven't seen anymore giant roaches! Keep some roach motels on hand and put them in strategic places!
I like having my own space and having the freedom to decorate like I want, I like that I can do as I please without having to take other people into consideration. A downside is that it can be lonely but having a pet helps ( I can't have pets), I dislike always having to be creative to decide what to have for meals and snacks without input from someone else. Cat zoomies are the best! It seems like so much longer that you moved out but its only been six weeks. I know that you are close with all your family so it must be hard living a good distance away from them! I find that having the tv or music on helps. Dishes and laundry are my least favourite tasks. Sorry that your friends bailed on you, I had that happen to me when I first moved out. You can get small inexpensive alarm systems to put on the doors and windows if it would make you feel safer.
A nice talk Reese. I think you are very mature and it's an exciting time for you. I am the oldest and introverted. My sister moved with me. We had hand me down furniture, bc only making 2.98 an hour it's a killer!! My sister was very good in always leaving her half in rent and utilities. Then before you know it Keith came into my life. I wish you nothing but happiness and Love. I hope it's a good experience for you. I think you have this, you seem very mature and organized too. God bless you Reese. Joan Bates ❤ ❤ ❤
Get “the birdie” from Amazon. Put it on your keys. It’s made for women. I sent my granddaughter one, she’s in college in other state, she had some guys following her across the campus and harassed her.Very scary for her. Don’t take any chances, always pay attention. I don’t want to scare you, but I’m a grandma and only want you to be safe. I think it’s about $30.00 on Amazon. Hugs, Patty ❤️
Since day one of her moving i was thinking that some pervs or else will begin to stalk her etc Lof of trafficking, violent crimes in florida. It happen to everyone, better safe!
Hi Reece yes it can be very lonely living on your own, mines not through choice my husband died, but we have to deal with it and join things and see friends and family. Also nice to have the place a to yourself as we like it. Have fun Reece xxx ❤️
Hi Reese . Great advice to all the young people. You've grown-ups so fast an smart . Your parents taught you well . I'm very proud of ya . Love you new cat 🐈 ❤
THE BUG THING IS REAAAAAL! I found two, TWO lizards in my apartment a few weeks after I moved in alone. One was so big I now consider getting rid of roaches an easy task :( But except the bugs, it does get easier!
If you get a rig door bell .Thay have a metal box that fits on your door I found it on Amazon or wish look at one of those it's pretty cool it's a metal box you put the ring device inside the metal box and it attaches to your door frame so you don't have to mount it on the outside of your door it's already in a metal box and it mounts on your door just something I thought you might like to know
I prefer having a small breed dog than a cat. I remember that my family once had a mixed breed “toy dog”. It was a very intelligent puppy which learnt new tricks quickly. It was always very loyal, almost human in sentiments and behaved instinctively like a mini guard dog. It stayed with my family for many years. It was heartbreaking when it was finally gone for good.
@@xCarbonBlack you sound useless...only thing messy about cats is having to change there litter box which is not a big deal. I have both and my dog is alot more work then my cat
I hope you are fine and always have in a good health….Thank you to share your new journey to us Reese…..You live alone now and you will go work and you do to budgets your money….but it is good for you and you will learn to live on your own and to be able get experiences at such a young age… and you are so blessed to have such supportive family….,we proud of you..Take care and God bless you always👍❤️❤️🙏🙏
Terrific to see this channel. You seem happy Reece. Well done you with your plans and ideas. You are a lovely young girl. I wish I was like you growing up. Looking forward to following your story. Cuddles to JoJo. Love Lelia from 🇮🇪 Ireland. Xxxx

Your apartment looks real cute, congrats on your new life must be a big change. I've always liked living on my own, I tried roommates I always found it annoying. When did yiu graduate from high school, was there a ceremony. You mentioned you had 4 jobs, what are they? What are your future goals. Will you go to college?
JoJo would not be ok if your place was haunted..fact. You are doing great on your own and have given fantastic answers to those who are planning on moving out on their own.
you could get a radio, you don't want to blow out the tv!!❤❤❤❤ I'm glad your getting a ring doorbell, and you have a Keychain alarm!!! you are a smart girl!! love your vlogs also!!✌out!!!!
Im so happy that you got a cat 😺😺😺 she is so cute . You are so amazing and have a wonderful time being alone .I like my alone time as well . Stay safe and positive .See you on the next one
I laughed at you toasting the bread in the oven! Not enough bench space for a regular toaster? 🍞🥑 I’d find it hard to just have one living space/kitchen/bedroom and then the bathroom. The bedroom in the living area is plain weird! 😆
Lol time u fill the sink and stuff ! Buy paper plates hehe ! Only u ! I am so glad about ring I did say that when I first moved it ! We have few of them ! Note some time down fall bad weather can affect them ! ! If u park on front of your door get a car carma facing your door ! U be fine ! Our daught like u don’t leave her drink alone amd just play smart and your mom amd dad did amazing job on u ! Congratulations!
About the new kitty: I was watching a live on Ig of a veterinarian especialized in cats and she swears that cats are supposed to be walked … so it might be a good activity for your kitty since she has a lot of energy and she lives in an apartment .
Best advice is to keep close to God and Jesus Christ his grace will protect you from all evil remember him in all your decisions meaning praying for all decisions God bless Reese.
Oh important thing Reese, give everything to God!!! I do all the time. I also, not to feel lonely I would volunteer to the Animal Shelter in Tucson. You have to have a good resolve. In Tucson they put down dogs every week. Black Monday is when it happens. What's weird is Keith lived on the same block as the Animal Shelter is on. Kitties are there too. It can get to you!! I think adopting JoJo sooo Wonderful have a good life together ❤ 😊 I wish I would have adopted a Kitty when living in the apartment. We have a Kitty Cafe here and the owner has taken in all homeless Kitties. You just go on order a coffee or tea sit down enjoy the Kitties that come to you. Nikolas was over the moon with happiness 😊 Joan Bates.
I just moved out house at 31 years old last month better late than never but should have happened ages ago but it's ok I'm happy now that's the main thing
