I met Mew2King once at a midwest local about 4 years ago. He was the only big pro that traveled here and probably spent more money in travel than he won. I can confirm that everyone cheered against him and even shamed my friend and I for cheering for him. M2K had previously offered to play friendlies with me and others, was a sweetheart from my experience of him. He truly inspired me to play more competitively and it breaks my heart to see him treated so badly. I wish I'd cheered louder for him back in the day, I can hardly imagine how difficult it is to be the top player in community that hates you for it.

The most I ever celebrated a professional game of Smash was when M2K beat Leffen 6-0. I remember it being common place back then for people to say that M2K was washed up and wasn't even a threat anymore so when Leffen also mirrored this opinion, I couldn't be more hyped when he absolutely rocked him with 3 different characters. Superb stuff, my favourite player of all time.

Zero these are my favorite none-gameplay videos. PLEASE do more like this. I love the stories. Man the struggles of being the best are real. Hbox is dealing with that now. I think he has finally accepted it but there are many tournament wins where you can see how hurt he is about people being against him. Leo kinda had the same thing but its hard to hate leo for anything because he doesn't have a bad playstyle or anything annoying. Leo is smart as hell and looked at how other got treated because they popped off too much or played campy so now leo shows up wins waves to the crowd and leaves and stays quiet which is smart. M2K is still my favorite god and I hope he comes back to take the top in melee again.

I know that feeling, it's kinda sad when your reaction jokes are so big-brain people just think you're dumb >.< The worst part? Some of them are so not used to being played like that they won't believe you when you explain. They'll think you're just trying to cover up after yourself... Some people just like to play these caricatures of themselves, you know? To let their quirky side take the spotlight every now and then. Also, I don't know about M2K, but I _am_ able to tell ahead of time when something will be weird, just like the next guy (I also have Asperger's), I just don't care. I know my silly antics will often be seen like I'm a weird manchild, or even some kind of cartoon character, but I just like to think I simply rediscovered how fun that was, and chose to embrace that playful childlike innocence again. I just like being quirky, and letting people know I'm quirky, that's not a bad thing for me to be, and it's not the only thing I am anyway.

Great video! I personally enjoy your videos where you talk about smash players and experiences giving your own personal insight and backstory, such as this video, or videos where you talked about K9 etc. I think it would be cool if you made a series like this called "The Truth About ..." where you talk about a specific player/event that you think would interest the viewers. Ofc you know a lot more about M2K because of your long friendship but I think everyone would be super interested in what experiences you have with other top players

This is interesting and was an eye opener. I like the amount of detail that goes into analyzing people's character and also analyzing different mechanics in smash. It's just amazing. I loved every minute of this video. It was a heartwarming and sometimes sad story. I also find it interesting how some people shut down when they can't do something correctly that they're really good at (such as myself). I guess we all learn to cope and adapt to various situations like that over time.

Jason is such a unique person which is why he has been such a success, not to sound cheesey but keep being true to yourself and we all can be kings/queens of what we are passionate about! Good day everyone :)

My little brother is on the spectrum and M2K has always shown me that is isnt just a disability, it can have advantages in some way, which gives me hope. sometimes its hard to realize that when i see my little brother struggle but M2K reminds me every time, which is one of many reasons why i love him so much.
