*** READ ME PLEASE**
Monistat 7 on your Hair?! Yes you read correct!
Micanozole Nitrate, the main ingredient in Monistat actually promotes hair growth.
You should use the Monistat with a mixture of your favorite deep conditioner and leave in treatment on your scalp 2-3 times a week. Doing this you should expect 1-1.5 inches of hair growth PER MONTH!
** THINGS TO BE AWARE OF**
But be careful! Using this for more that 4 consecutive months can result in your body building a resistance to the Anti-Fungal and should you get a Yeast Infection...you are OUT OF LUCK!! So I recommend using the product for 2 months at a time probably twice a year to avoid building any resistance. Also beware of potential headaches! The mixture does result in some tingling but should it be too concentrated with Monistat you can get a headache!
PRODUCTS USED:
Milk Protein & Olive Oil deep conditioning treatment pack
Hask Placenta leave in conditioner w/ Olive Oil
Miconazole Nitrate ( Monistat 7 )
Doo-Gro Leave-In
Plastic Cap
Applicator Brush/Applicator Bottle

Monistat does work as crazy as it sounds just make sure you dilute it with water and olive oil (do your research). I'm a 2 year natural girl and had poor edges from tight braids. Used this for 3 months, every other night before bed, just a finger size on my temples and edge areas. I mixed mine and placed it in squeeze bottle for easier application. My peach fuzz is growing and I'm happy with the results. Will continue same process. No complaints here.

People get real. Not ignorant. Products can be used for a variety of things if you know the chemical composition and/or what the ingredients were created for. You can get far more uses out of it than what it was initially marketed for. Like actors have been using Preparation H, a cream for reducing the swelling of hemorrhoids on the face for years, just that the general public didn't know this cheap but effective beauty secret. It also reduces baggy lids from under the eyes. By the way, you can use Monistat or a generic version of the cream for athletes feet as well. It's an anti-fungal medication so it works for both sites. With all the greases, souffles, creams, butters, purees, mayonnaise, and a host of other products with dietary names Black people put in their hair to keep it moisturized...the use of this product may also reduce any fungi that has taken residence there. I would be more disgusted by the thought of this than the name of cream. If you are not allergic to it...just be cautious, keep it out of your eyes and try it out. Thanks for your vid Brittany.

@@Gladiator_in_a_Suit Then why click on the video and bother commenting idiot? Your mama also told you if you don't have something nice to say stfu! It amazes me how people are afraid to use this on their scalp topically when it's made to be used internally (to an extent). The vagina is sensitive. Miconazole is made for (amongst other things) that sensitive area. What's the big deal? The video shows everything and discusses VERY CLEARLY the,possible pros and cons of using miconazole this way. People are so fucking lazy. Do your own research. Invest in yourself.

I'm trying this because I got a fungal infection on my scalp (I've had it for over 5 months now), and I've lost all the hair on the crown of my head (about 6" across). I've been seeing the doctor all this time, but nothing he has given me has worked. I've also tried everything else I read about on the internet, and there is still a fungus among us! Finally, my aunt suggested that maybe it was yeast? So I started reading about that, and came across this video. I just have a couple of questions -- since I'm trying to use this first, to get rid of the nightmarish fungal crap on my head, should I just leave it on, and not wash it out -- then put more on tomorrow night after washing my hair, and so on? Kind of what we all do when we have the other type of yeast infection? It's on my head now, straight, just the Miconazole, and I haven't noticed any headache. I had to use 2 tubes of the stuff, because, even going really easy on it, that's just what it took. I used the applicator brush, and I rubbed it in a bit, when I was done. Should I just use it the same way I would for the other type of yeast infection, and after the 7th day, look at my scalp again and see if it has helped, if I need to keep doing this treatment a bit longer, or there is no change? Help, please!

+Lotus Bee it did not work to cure the fungal infection on my head. Nothing has worked to cure this fungal infection. I've been given prescription antifungal and antibiotic oral medications, as well as shampoos and creams to no avail. It doesn't help that the 3 doctors I've seen at the VA are quacks! I've tried several tubes of the Monistat, coconut oil, blue star ointment, Lamisil cream, Lotrimin spray, Dudu Osum, Eucalyptus essential oil, lots of Tea Tree essential oil, Mupirocin ointment, hydrogen peroxide (will stop a raging kerion, or a bacterial infection if you have one, but won't totally cure it), isopropyl alcohol, mud masks, my dog's shampoo, turmeric paste, epsom salt baths and packs, Clorox bleach baths and packs, and I can't even remember what else. Now, it's been 9 months, and no improvement at all. What the fungus is doing on my scalp has changed several times, but it has never gotten better. So, I've decided to go in a completely different direction, since nothing else has worked. I just ordered Licorice Root tincture, more pure Tea Tree Oil, straight Neem Oil, Peru Balsam essential oil, and medical grade Turpentine (it comes as an essential oil type product). I got all of these suggestions by searching old remedies for ringworm. Our ancestors must have figured out something to cure this crap, or everybody would have had it! I'll keep you posted on how, and IF these things work. Here were the diagnoses I got from the VA (don't laugh too hard!); Doctor #1: Bacterial infection, no wait - fungal infection, no wait - she's neurotic and pulling her own hair out (I think it's called tricholomania?) Honey, I might have a couple of mental problems, but pulling my own hair out, ain't one of them! LOL! Plus, my hair was breaking off just above the scalp, and he saw it! Double whammy on him, I had just shaved my head a few days before his last diagnosis that I was neurotic and pulling my own hair out! I spoiled my hair pulling fun by shaving it all off! That put a stop to that fool's quackery! Doctor #2: I was some kind of neurotic scratcher/picker (geez, and I don't even smoke crack or meth!), and I had caused all of this myself! Stupid thing was, the sores I had were in a straight line, directly over a bone that projected out on my skull. As a woman, I'm not used to shaving my head. I know guys complain about nicking themselves, and that's exactly what I had done. I tried to be careful when I shaved my head, but being inexperienced, whenever I cross that bone, I nicked it! If she would have listened to me, and felt the bone, and paid attention to the pattern of the sores (straight line), it would have been obvious, but I think she had been talking to doctor #1, and he convinced her I was some nut job. I had taken close up pictures of the fungus to show her, and she wouldn't look at them. I tried to get her to look at my head with a magnifying glass, scope or something that would help her get a closer view, and she wouldn't. You can see alot of the stuff on my head with the naked eye, but to see the really scary stuff (which is near microscopic), you have to have a visual aid. Doctor #3: Was forewarned by #1 and #2, that I probably had a superinfection from picking and pulling! Great! Knew I would get a subjective, unbiased opinion from him now! He did a punch biopsy and a scraping. Place where he did punch biopsy reacted dramatically, fungal growths were coming out of it like mad, it swelled up so bad it popped out the stitch he put in, and I wound up having to put Hydrogen Peroxide on it many times during the day, to stave off the infection! It was horrible. I told him, and he ignored me. So, labs came back as no fungus, no bacteria, no cancer. (Remember I told you above that I had been on antibiotic and antifungal oral meds, creams, and shampoos?) And aren't we all supposed to have normal flora on our skin? No one takes that into consideration, but I read online, in many places, that you can get a false negative if you have been taking all that stuff. So, on follow-up, this is exactly what he said to me: "Grow your hair back, and live your life! You're fine!" I was too mad to even argue with him this time. So, I'm a neurotic hair-pulling, skin digging/scratching maniac! That still doesn't explain the kerions, the spherical growths (with eyes like a blackeyed pea) that fill up and burst spores out everywhere, causing more of them to spread. It also doesn't explain why there is something covering (like a sheath) my hairs that are growing out, nor the huge areas of my scalp that are covered in some sort of glistening white stuff that completely obscures my scalp skin, nor the tear drop shaped growths that are innumerable, nor the round things with the hole in the middle that puff up and hurt, nor the black dots, nor the white dots, nor the darker growths that stay together and look like a pile of rocks stuck to my head, nor the plant-like heads that pop up and uncurl, nor the hyphae that is all over my head, nor the very obvious involvement in my ears (I had to go to the ER for this, and they said it was tinea - ringworm - but would only treat me for the ears), etc. etc. BTW, my ears almost completely cleared up with the cream the ER prescribed, but as the cream ran out, the stuff came right back, and is inside my ear canal, too. I also bought a flea comb (for cats) and I carefully run it through my stubbly hair once or twice a day, and you would not believe the scary stuff that is on the comb when I'm done! Oh! I almost forgot -- while I was shaving my head with an electric razor every day, my razor would get gunked up with this weird gray, crystally looking stuff. I cleaned my razor a couple of times, and saved the stuff in a zip loc bag to show doctor #3 -- Ha! He glances at it quickly from across the room, and tells me it's my skin!!! Wrong! When I zoomed in on the stuff with my camera, it was fungus! It was those spheres, tear drops, round things, hyphae, etc!!! I am beside myself with grief over losing my hair, my self-esteem, my womanhood, and the fact that I can't go outside of my house without covering my head, because I look like I have some disease on my head that makes others think I'm an unclean, dirty pig! I had to tell my grandson, that it was cooties, because he wouldn't understand. I can't go see my elderly father, and I had a new granddaughter who was born this past September, and I've only been able to see her one time -- both for fear of passing this awful mess on to them! My oldest son, who lives with me, tells me it looks "disturbing," and my youngest son, who also lives with me, is totally grossed out by my scalp. A friend, who is into the metaphysical, has even got her like-minded friends trying to work on this, and come up with an answer! They made a mala for me, and my friend gave it to me this past weekend. Sorry I'm going on and on and on.... I need to vent because this is very troubling to me. I'll stop now. I will also update you on whether any of the new stuff I'm going to try, works.

First of all, your hair is beautiful. I just have to say about this Monistat craze. I'm not going to try it. Ladies, please be careful. Side effects are not always acute, i.e. drastic, immediately noticeable. They can be chronic, i.e. develop over time, less noticeable at first, become more serious later, or later in life. I'm not putting that near my *brain*! A mind is a terrible thing to waste. That's why I stopped using relaxers. I figured that there must be unknown or undisclosed side effects to using chemicals so near the brain.

@Ginger I do not think there is anything to regrow your hair. If a Dem doc looks at your hair, sends you away with a bottle to treat dandruff (that you could have bought over the counter), doesn't do a thing else for you, nor refer you to another doctor that knows more about hair, than there is basically nothing out there that works.

I've never had a personal struggle with hair loss. And from reading the comments, my impression that most people are trying this for more and faster growth. I just wanted to suggest that there are safer ways to achieve great results. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but racism blinds a small mind.

***** Where is it on here that anyone is being a racist? We are talking about hair here. Not someone saying the N word.

@cutiepiebrtt
@cutiepiebrtt 10 лет назад
Hey Tiffany! If you want really quick results I recommend you use the monistat mixed with YOUR choice of oil daily..make sure the mixture is MORE oil that monistat to avoid headache! Also so you can retain length make sure you are taking care of your ends. Hope this helps, please let me know how it works for you hun! :-) follow me on IG:@duhitsbrittany

i bought some miconazole nitrate thinking it was for vaginal infections however it's for jock itch. do you think it would still work? it's pretty much the same ingredients as monistat although it does have mineral oil.

This is a GREAT video, I have herd about the whole monistat and HAIR THNG, but now it seems like a lot of people are trying it and having great results. I think I may try it myself. Im natural and it been going on for about 4 years bow. and its not as healthy as it should be :( Well stop by my channel sometimes. !! I subscribed.

idk seems like too many risks health wise for me, like being s.o.l if u should ever have a yeast infection infection or getting headaches. There's a more natural way that I have researched and that would be castor oil, same results with no side effects. same antifungal and hair growth promotion. I just started using it, and it's rly no different than oiling ur scalp with the usual hair products. I mix my castor oil with jojoba oil. so far so good.
