I recall reading Nigella’s cookbooks when I lived in Germany. I read them like novels, and they helped me while coming to grips with living in a new country. I sent her some German cookie cutters - wonderful shapes, and her letter back to me was lovely.
He grabbed her by the NOSE not her throat! Then, he TWISTED it causing her eyes to widen. I saw the video online. It was taken by a photographer standing behind a pole inside the restaurant. It was a horrible, nasty, humiliating moment that no person should experience!
Just google it. He puts her hand over her mouth as she's talking, completely covers it. Who does that? Then another series of photos clearly show him with his hand around her throat. I haven't seen him grabbing her by the nose but this man is obviously quite capable of violence. She's lucky the paparazzi photographed it so she had an excuse to escape him in what was becoming a very controlling and dangerous relationship for her.
He did both. Grabbed her by the throat and also twisted her nose. All pictures clearly on the Mirror website. Hideous man. Thank goodness she is no longer with him.

Reading a Nigella cookbook, how she describes food and its preparation is a literary experience! She is a survivor, a courageous cook and an accomplished woman and writer!
Nigella appears to be an incredibly sincere person and every down to earth. I got to meet her at a book signing once and she couldn’t have been lovelier. I admire her strength after so much loss. Her first husband new what he had. The second one did not.
Second husband was a bad mistake. Not exactly an North London boy? Jealous to boot of her talent, popularity and looks. Well rid of him the culturally nasty piece.
Nigella Lawson. Down to earth and honest cooking. A true professional. Sad about her first husband. A tragedy for both of them ... and a sorry state of affairs with the Sachi guy. Awful... and how these people always want to turn it round making them rhe victim. Everyone knows Nigella ... she is better off without him. Shine on Nigella.
Nigella is so beautiful, talented and articulate. I loved her cooking show, she made everything look so easy and delicious. If I remember, Nigella is a part of the famous Lyon family who had an extensive restaurant business in England, if so she carried on quite well, I'm just sorry she had lost so many that she loved so deeply. Thank you for this reminder of a delightful human being.
Such a pity that her second husband had no humility, only vengeance and a desire to destroy her, using the personal assistants to aid his apparent vendetta. Nasty.
She is so beautiful and an amazing cook I believe that her last husband was jealous of her and he wanted to distroy her I'm happy it didn't work I believe that she is someone that young girls can look up to !
He didn't want her having her friends over for dinner or even for coffee; that's one of the first signs of controlling behavior, isolating the victim from friends and family. She was vulnerable when her first husband died, and I imagine she was lonely and turned to Saatchi for comfort. He was a rebound, and not all rebound relationships/marriages work out. If she was using drugs, I thought, perhaps it was antidepressants, and she was taking more than the prescribed amount. As for Saatchi, I think he was using her to boost his profile, and when she finally wanted out, he was afraid he would lose his privileges, so he did what so many vengeful exes do: drag her through the mud. She had a good lawyer who saw through those lies.
As a widow myself, people referring to my late husbands as my ex-husband is absolutely infuriating. We didn’t divorce. He died. They aren’t the same experience.
I found Nigella a bit gushy and kind of breathless when I first came across her but grew to really like and respect her. I just love the way she enjoys her food.
May our trials make us stronger. May we look to our pain as opportunities for growth, not to resist but to lean into and embrace how much better we can become through life's difficulties.🙏
I am not a good cook and I like watching various cooking shows including Nigella because I find her calming. I am happy for Nigella for leaving an abusive marriage. No one should have to put up with any form of abuse. It takes courage and strength to leave. Everyone is valuable and deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. Be safe and happy out there people 😊
She seems like a nice person.. The only thing is that you cannot build your happiness on somebody else's unhappiness... He second husband was a married man... Her husband died and not long after she's living with another woman's husband... She should have given herself time to heal from her husband's passing, instead she hurt another women and exposed her own children to a man who assaults women...

They make all these nepotism product sound as if they are some super talented beings. Nigella Lawson has practically no talent of any sorts in any field. She was the daughter of a Baron and in UK that's all one needs. Period.
Absolutely love Nigella she’s so beautiful inside and out one of the most sexiest cooks.Couldn’t stand her second husband she was way to good for him he didn’t appreciate or deserve her.She hasn’t had it easy and lost so many people that she loved now I hope she finds peace and harmony you don’t need a partner to be happy just yourself.🙏🏻🌹

I love the strenghth and percistance of this woman. She has a lust for food and life... and i hope she regains that blooming sensulality again.... ( good that she stepped away from that mistreater... i wish her happiness).
It is so sad she had to go through such a trauma with her ex husband, its always a difficult time regardless of it being an easy experience or not, but when they get mean with it it is intolerable, I hope she is in a better place these days, and just puts it all behind her and moves on, after all you cant let others define you, can you. "Flamenco" has allways been danced and sung by men and women!! Women dance flamenco with grace and more arm movements. Men dance more explosive and energetic. The difference Carmen Amaya made was that she danced in the style of a man. A lot of fire and energy in a small woman!!!
Nigella Lawson’s first husband, the journalist John Diamond, died of cancer. They had two children, a son and daughter. Her second marriage was to Charles Saatchi. They divorced after he was pictured grabbing Nigella by the neck when they were having lunch (I think it was) one day. He accused her of not supporting him after the pictures were published. They divorced not long after.
What good does it do to involve police in domestic squabbles ! A friend of mines who was never known to be violent, who's wife complained that he had thrown an ornament out of frustration while they were rowing, he'd not thrown it at her or the kids but broke a wall mirror in the process. Out of revenge and without realising it, she or someone called the police to report it to just scare him. Just in case anybody is unsure of what they're getting in to I'll explain what will happen. The police will usually caution the husband or the instigator and whether it was a one off or simply a mountain out of a molehill, the husband will have to agree to move out of the home AND agree not to make contact with his wife AND children for at least 6 weeks. OR face a court hearing where evidence will be provided whether the wife wants it to or not which may mean a worse sentence. Once they have the story the wife cannot retract it, as used to be the case, or she could face prosecution herself and end up losing her kids. This is the fact. So , whether it was a little squabble over little Johnny spilling his milk or whatever, the police have you FOREVER, by the short and curlies and, further, if the children's teachers want to put their boot in too, you may very well lose your kids anyway because the record will show they are living in a dysfunctional home with a violent father or mother and because the UK orphanages are controlled by people who like children, some with personal gratification in mind, they will be free to prey on their victims without fear. Also. Beware of people on websites that feel that they are doing you some good out of the kindness of their hearts. This is great Britain for a starter and this country has NEVER done anything out of the kindness of their own hearts. If they ever did, they could've save 6 million Jewish peoples lives by taking them to safety instead of letting Hitler murder them. Glad you like it.
Nobody is perfect but that Satcchi guy seems like a horrible human! So sad! I’m glad she’s got through the trauma and mud throwing he caused because he got caught being violent with Nigella! To have lost your true love to then think you ve found happiness again to be found to be actually in a toxic one then also in the public eye and the powerful man is threatening to ruin you after you’ve worked so hard to become yourself ! Omg!
That second husband was a ruthless brute he tried to destroy her reputation because he was caught on camera showing the world what he was ,grabbing her by the throat charming 😳
