Pivot is #1 in the industry for design and manufacturing quality in my book. Drank the Titus cool aid back in the day with the Racer X and I've had about 7 Pivots over the years. Absolutely love my Firebird and Mach 6. Keep it up Chris- you are the man!
In my opinion what makes Pivot different is attitude and attention to detail that started with Chris the founder. He brought that knowledge and passion from Titus. He is an owner that doesn’t stop “watching the store” he knows everything about what it takes to be successful and he is the reason Pivot is winning so many races and has so many loyal customers.
Awesome video! I'm in Tucson and I was unaware Pivot Headquarters was in the Phoenix area! I'll have to set up a "demo" date soon since I'm looking to get a new bike. Thanks Hannah & Mo🌵
I've been looking at the Pivot Switchblade but it's expensive, yes, they do make more affordable builds, is there a warranty on the frame? If so, how long? Recently I went to South Mountain, and I saw a lot of Pivot bikes. I've never heard anything bad about Pivot and after watching this video and seeing who's behind the manufacturing of this brand I can see that Happy People do quality work and that can justify the higher price point. I will demo a switchblade this fall and see if there is a Switchblade in my future . ?
The company biggest downside is the supper boost! XC, enduro, downhill professionals are wining races why supper boost? I can understand make a specific bike for a pro rider around a supper boost. For regular riders the supper boost is marginal. Also, majority of bike shops don’t carry supper boost wheels and hub parts. Pivot needs to redesign the bikes to boost. I really want to buy a pivot. But, the supper boost was a turn off from this brand and I decided to go with yeti to my opinion makes better bikes and with a racing heritage 😊
Great video! I am considering replacing my current bike and the Pivot switchblade is on the shortlist. Seeing the factor with frame/bike history was super cool.
This pumps me up. I’ve been accumulating parts since the day the brand new V6 Switchblade was announced. I will say the builds that Pivot offers are kind of crap and outrageously overpriced. I think they are magicians when it comes to frame design, kinematics, and QC, but you can spend $8K+ and there are a lot of junk parts on the bike. I spec’ed out my own optimal Switchblade build and it will come in right at $9K for full on Fox Factory (Grip X + Float X) GX Transmission groupset and I9 wheels. All quality parts and pieces throughout the rest of the build.
@12:30…c’mon, be serious. The reason Pivot works while Titus failed is because Titus frames were mostly made in USA while Pivots are brought in from Asia at pennies on the dollar. This allows them to have a way bigger marketing budget to pay for race team and influencers. Marketing sells bikes.
whatched this to try to figure why their bikes are so ludicrously expensive.. did not get an answer. The bikes are nice.. but nothing new here, not sure why they should cost more than twice as much as every other company. Even the aluminum 26" dirt jump bike with basically no components on it is 2k.. that doesn't make any sense.
Pivot are really good bikes. I was leaning towards the Firebird but after I test rode it, it was way too much bike for the trails I ride 80% of the time. I went with a Specialized Stumpjumper Evo Pro for the versatility. The Firebird is an enduro weapon. I could tell it was made for some gnarly riding. The frame quality was as close to perfection as it gets. Beautiful bike!
I still have a Titus SuperMoto blue frame and polished rear triangle. Once I give up on my Intense I’ll be looking at Pivot for my next free ride bike.
Hello friend, your channel's videos are nice and impressive. I'm confident that you're missing something while uploading videos. Therefor your RU-vid channel does not rank at the top of search results. Do you want to increase your channel's subscribers and views organically?
I was riding my Titus Moto Lite up until May of 2020 when it got stolen in Los Vegas…rode bug springs on that 26 inch bike. I would have rode it for a couple more years.
I demo the Shuttle AM and absolutely loved it! Unfortunately, it’s too damn expensive and out of my budget. Ended up choosing transition relay since they have a sale. Wished Pivot has similar sale but I heard they never do.😢
We care about the industry… so we’re sticking with shops… so the customer ends up paying double so that he can feed a bike shop. How’s that working out for the bike brands???
50 bucks for a demo… F off!!!! Demo rides must be free. You don’t pay to test drive a car, boat or even airplane. Why would you pay to test ride a bicycle???? Ridiculous and greedy attitude that’s biting the entire bike industry in the ass. Looking forward to seeing this brand go bust with all the other greedy ones.
Demo rides on trails must be free? It's not a parking lot test. You are taking the bike out on the trails for a full day ride. Seems fair to us plus they donate the money. Most brands do it that way
@@moandhannahtravel when you test drive a car, do you get to test it on roads? Doesn’t that use gas and wear out the tyres, putting miles in the car??? And yet not a single dollar exchanges hands. So NO it’s not ok to take a bicycle out for an hour or two! And most brands are going down the toilet, struggling to sell their bikes because consumers are tired of this shit. Between the impossibility to test, because shops aren’t buying test fleets any more, ridiculous prices for gear that’s just not justifying the price and brands like YT showing how extremely high quality bikes can ACTUALLY be made in Taiwan for prices that make sense, these greedy brands are going down the toilet. And no bought and paid for RU-vid “influencer” is going to turn the trends around of people keeping their money in their pockets. The days of brands doing whatever they like and bloggers trying to sell us constant BS are over!
@@kevincurd9134 do you rent a car when you want to test drive one? Do you rent a boat when you are interested in buying one? NO! So why would it be ok to pay 50 bucks for a few hours on a bicycle???? The YT mill doesn’t charge you anything!
Are you in the market for a bike and struggling to find somewhere to demo? If so shoot me a message and I will personally find somewhere you can try out a bike for free. I respectfully disagree with your car analogy, you can't take the car to the beach and have a beach day when trying a car out, in fact I just had to go through the process of test driving cars. Longest they let me go was a 2 mile loop. I can't speak for them but Im sure Pivot would let you pedal their demo bike around the parking lot if you wanted to. Once again if you need help finding a demo event let me know. I also don't think Pivot is going anywhere anytime soon, and if you ever get a chance to try one, I think you'll realize why. -Mo Awesome
