I'm not only here for the sound symposer but you get a like for putting that time stamp in and not wasting peoples time because most big youtubers dont do that
I have a straight piped 718 boxster, and my car is already so loud the soundaktor has no impact. Also, I had driven my car with it on for over 15000km, and not once did i notice any drone
Just taken delivery of 992 Carrera and sounds like a bag of spanners on the motorway. Test drove 4S and Carrera T and drove Base 992 at Silverstone and took that car on the road on the day before I ordered my car and they were quiet by comparison Both test drive cars had only done a few hundred miles. So will do a few 100 more miles in my 992 and see how it sounds.
This video includes what you need to know. Remove plastic trip near one of the upper seatbelt connections. You may be able to slide the carpet out. But if not you will need to take the steps to remove the cross bar.
@@Tweevest718s and 718gts like in the vid. Still 100% sold on the removal. Tried it again once. Lasted 10 mins, pulled it again. So much nicer. I wish every 718 owner knew it!
@@danbourne11 I do not know if it's the same on the 981 GTS, becasue I'm about to pull it out lol but do not want to fk it up. Did you pull it out battery removed?
Great video! Would have been nicer if Porsche mimiced VW/Audi and put the soundaktor at the front windshield. Although that would make it seem extra fake since no sound should come from the front. On VW/Audi it can be coded at 10% increments, and I found 30% to be nice.
Thank you for these videos. I have the Soul caps but never installed them yet, I only care to remove drone under 3k rpm, so I wont be doing this mod anymore. You are awesome. ALSO - where did you get the shirt?
Bravo 👍🏻 thank you man, your videos are very informative, helpful and enjoyable, the final video is amazing, I wanted to know the name of the background music I liked it but couldn’t find it in the description but I found a transcript 👍🏻 links to all related information mentioned in the video, which is an indicator of level of quality you put in your work 👍🏻 thank you again, please if you can share the background music track name i will appreciate it 💐
If you want one of the weirdest sounds you can make with the Spyder, it’s possible to use just enough throttle to keep the engine in the wild bass drone of cylinder deactivation, but also to activate the sound symposer. 🤣 Both at once is a unique experience. 🤣
@@JetFuelOnly just go out on the freeway and turn off the auto start/stop… make sure to hit the PSE button. Then keep a steady enough throttle for it to get into cyclometer deactivation and the crazy drone that goes with it. Then add just enough throttle slowly to get the sound symposer to open a little. I’ve mostly noticed it when going up a little grade but not as much on flat ground.
why do people keep saying it sounds like a Subaru, when Subaru based its design on the Porsche engine? The SUBARU sounds like a Porsche, not the other way around.
Thanks for the great video. I have a question about the Sound Symposer, if it is Vacuum activated, could you not just clip that small vacuum hose shut and it would prevent the valve from opening?
@@JetFuelOnly Thanks so much for replying, it’s great to be able to interact with someone who puts such effort into amazing videos and is knowledgeable about the subject! Just to make sure I’m not getting this wrong, I meant that tiny rubber hose hooked to that vacuum actuated valve, not the whole big plastic hose. I’m still waiting for my car to get here from European Delivery so it’s hard not to be able to actually go out and look at this. Ps. Great review for the ultimate cup holder, I saw pair come on eBay the other day and jumped on them based on your review.
@vgaustin1506 thanks! Yeah I know what you meant. I can’t say I know for sure that is how it’s actuated but it’s a fair assessment. Congrats on your car. Drove it awhile and see what you think before messing with it!
Thanks for the input. You’d be amazed how different it comes across depending on your audio setup. I try to listen on a few devices before publishing but cant do them all. Can I ask what you watched/listened on?
@@JetFuelOnly You welcome!, now Im looking up that PPF stealth wrap, awesome. I own 718 GTS 2.5, same black color as your GT4 but with GT3 992 Neodyme gold satin color on my 20’ wheels. Im totaly blowned away for how your car look 👍🏻
