Out of curiosity do you have the cloud perfume? If so, what does it smell like? I bought a bottle and the smell was horrific so I took it back but even the lady at the counter said it didn't smell right. It was so bad that I didn't want to repeat the experience so I just left it alone

I think that as Arianas style is quite minimal and more of a clean look, I completely understand what she was going for in this collection as it fits her aesthetic perfectly. But compare this to the likes of Selenas Rare Beauty where I feel she really put her soul into it. I think like what Manny was saying, this collection doesnt really call my name as much as others like Rare or Fenty Beauty. But that’s just me 🥰

@@TanealyaKimBeauty I don’t know if her minimalism impacts tho Selena is quite minimal and soo much so that it practically sealed into rare beauty’s ‘enhancing natural beauty thing’ and yet the products are still resilient and can stand on their own. REM is a cute collection but I doubt it would have caught anyone’s eyes at all if Aris name wasn’t slapped on it

But the way Selena talks about her products and shows the variety of them it really puts this REM collection in a position of looking a little basic. There is products you could buy at the drugstore for way cheaper with the same if not better quality

The packaging looks 10x better in video than the pictures! I wasn’t feeling the flat silver but it looks completely different in video. Another reason you CANNOT judge something without actually touching, seeing, and using it in person.

According to Glamour, R.E.M. is partnered with FORMA Brands to launch this... and we know who else uses the lab? Morphe! So that's probably why it's on the lower end of price point but still have solid and approachable formulas.

Maybe, but just cause they’re both owned by forma doesn’t necessarily mean they’re made in the same lab/ same formula. I think from mannys review this looks higher quality than morphe, like the highlighter looks better than morphe ones, Idk they could be similar :) just hope REM doesn’t end up like all the other FORMA brands where they are only sold at morphe, hoping REM comes to ulta, boots in the uk, ect

With the eyeshadow shimmers my guess would be that she made something she would wear - she doesn't do a lot of metallic shimmer in her own looks, it's always more of a velvet /satin finish :)

I think the price for the mascara is definitely a great price for a celebrity make up brand, $15, a decent amount of mascaras at the drugstore are like $9-$15 so I’d expect a celebrity mascara to be like $28 and up

@@MannyMua733 i feel like mascaras work different for everyone. i tried to use my best friends mascara that worked wonders for her and for me i barely noticed a difference in length at all afterwards. i seen another girl say the mascara was amazing so i think it really just depends on the person and what they personally like and what works for them.

I never understood why a lot of PR doesn't tell you the prices of the items and make you have to go hunt them down online when it should just be in the little pamphlet explaining all the products to begin with...like hello they need to know the price if they are going to share/recommend the products to their followers and to be able to give an honest review. I feel the same way about cocktail menus at restaurants not having the prices on it...they just want you to hopefully order without knowing or asking the price and then be "sticker shocked" when you get the bill and find out that your drinks are $16 each. Okay sorry rant over 🤣

Really too bad they didn’t absolutely *nail* the liner considering the classic Ariana cat eye look. I would have expected a liner that she personally would be obsessed with 🤨

Many other reviews have said how much they loved the eyeliner. I wouldn’t let Mannys personal preference of a brush liner defer from the quality of what is a felt tip liner.

@@ayzab it’s good to hear that others like it. My impression is that a brush tip is generally thought to be a higher quality type of liquid liner, but like everything in makeup I’m sure there’s a personal preference element.
