Yuji does have scissor marks not because you use scissors instead of knives, but because his experience cooking is opening instant noodles with scissors
Now I’m just waiting for the moment when all of John Werry’s bad translations, end up being foreshadowed at the end of jujutsu kaisen (and we were the ones that looked stupid all along)
Megumi is fine dummy, the infinite void is a sure hit that affects the brain, but since Sukuna is the one who controls Megumi's brain, he is the one who will fix the damage Why do you think Megumi could tell Yuji that he didn't want to fight anymore? By your logic, his soul should be in a vegetative state, but it wasn't
So you’re telling me bro can remove a migraine by hitting two black flashes but even if I have 2 tablets of pain killers it still doesn’t go! Unbelievable 😤
Japanese words can have multiple meanings depending how you read/write them. Its not first time in manga that words have multiple meaning. Just like Furnace open can be read as divine flame open.
The fact Gojo used appliances to describe Cursed techniques to Yuji very early in the story, I can see Yuji having a modern kitchen cursed technique 💁🏿♂️
And yet even from gojo's mouth himself, he admitted this acuna was so strong. Then gojo was not strong enough to make him even Go all out 🤡@@abdullahmir2899
Am not gonna lie I know this is a sukuna based chapter but the panel yuji uses simple domain is perfect and so menacing it reminded me of when gojo used it first
Even in the data book gege was asked about uraume and he said : "They had been sticking to him since a thousand years ago. They are a human who is allowed to stand beside Sukuna because their cooking is delicious. Naturally, a sorcerer too." So he gave us another hint about sukuna's power theme
Yuji: ah yes my Fuga Hearth haven't used it for a while Sukuna: oh you wanna go band for band, bar for bar... Fire with fire. Hmm what does this remind me of... AH yes! Jogo! Let's run it back round 2 whose flames are stronger? My flames against yours LET'S GO BRAT@@nick6253
@@flawedandnotperfect that def could happen, I honestly think either Yuji will nerf it enough to be temporary out of commission but not dead, or someone is going to sacrifice themselves
Something that’s still running rampant after the shinjuku showdown is these agendas that Sukuna and Gojo hate eachother, yet we keep Seeing Sukuna copy Gojos poses, IE:Gojos hollow purple move, His honored one pose, his UV pose, and ofc Gojo glazing Sukuna at his death, Sukuna will truly remember Gojo for as long as he lives
I don’t hear enough people talking abt how gojo was able to redirect the burden of rct to different regions of his brain and how crazy that is and the fact that sukuna is stated to have done the same thing to get use of his domain back 😭😭 these guys are cracked
Yuji being proud thinking it was his doing why he's progressed so fast is wholesome and is why i love him as a character he's on the same level as luffy for me and i love after finding out it's sukuna he's defeated
You make best JJK videos and provide best information as possible Most of the people didn't understand this chapter and blamed Gege for bad writing just because they didn't understand in first read
Yey! for being screenshoted in the video 🤞 Now, after realizing how many times Sukuna has made binding vows on the go with little to no explanation of what he gave up in return, and the fact that we haven't seen yet what happens when a vow is broken, I'm starting to think that A) he will be cornered into breaking one of those vows to survive, and the recoil will give Yuuji a window of opportunity to end him. Or B) he wont be able to break any vow, and so many restrictions will leave him with no options in the end Just like in a chess match where you do a risky play and you end up with no moves left (or end up losing important pieces)
10:00 man I hope Yuji learned from Gojo, not only is he the most efficient to learn from since his is the only one that didn’t come naturally but because he’d have the six eyes Now obviously he didn’t keep them afterwards but he should still retain some level of information and that’s broken, not only does the Six eyes give him just better CE efficiency but it also lets the user break down everything to a molecular level Imagine a Yuji with sukunas ct and Gojos six eyes, all he needs is something from Megumi or the Zein’s and he has the power of all the three clans
Great chapter review! The quality is awesome, thank you for making these! Don’t worry about making promises and keeping up with posting, we’re here to engage with what you create!
I may be wrong but reading the chapter and given the focus on some specific of the Malevolent Shrine I assumed this time the DE closd a barrier, there was also a pannel where the barrier closing was visible (or it may be completelly something else that I confused with the barrier closing) PS: I laught so hard at the idea of Yuji having most kitchen's tool at his disposal but with a less extreme degree
So from what I read, the narrator mentions a closed barrier, but only as a hypothetical to explain why it wouldn’t trap Maki. Looking at it a 2nd time, I m don’t think it’s the translations that are bad, the word placements are just kinda weird.
@@FakeWeeb I dunno while I can see your point. It seems to me too much of an over exposure to say all those details to in the end not use any of those (if the emergency Malevolent Shrine is just an unstable one compared to a standard one), also isn't the pannels where the DE is unleashed composed of a barrier closing ? I mean to avoid confusion the pannel for example where the narrator says "The King's domain returned to its master..." those black stripes strongly resemble a barrier closing... after that moment with all the dust and damage done any actual barrier would be impossible to see probably due the mess. Maybe I am reading too much into it, but Sukuna could have made a closed Malevolent Shrine with BW to not reduce range or efficiency... to trap Maki is not too difficult once you know how she works after all she is not immune for some weird actual immunity. She simply exploit the fact that normally a sorcer want to esnare another enemy and CE is a great indicator...I don't think it's too hard for someone who can't change the condition of his domain on the fly (Sukuna, Gojo, Higaruma and Hakari for now) to simply "pull into the domain everything building included". It's a shame that due the Domain already breaking those doubts will remain forever... I am almost pissed by this
Backstory idea: Yuji was born to a royal family’s person chef family (the family has had generations of royal chefs and that’s why he has this technique). He was hated because of his looks, but urume (maybe a servant?) was the only kind one to him (that’s why he’s fine with them). He then starts to crave power because of being so close to royalty (he saw what power can do and urume followed him). That’s all I got, but maybe he’s the fallen because he was still in royal presence and maybe killed the top ruler or something?
Yuji switched with Shoko cuz she’s the only one who could do it with comprehension (?) Idk if I said that correctly but yea, hakari and yuta do it on instinct so yuji wouldn’t really learn how to do it like that Also, I agree with your binding vow take I hate them atp, they’re nothing like nen restrictions
One translator said that both translations regarding the domain missed the mark because through uncertain binding vows, sukunas domain had the extended range and ability to to target the real world as an open barrier but also had an outer shell all of this was to make sure he captured maki with it.
So about the CE conversion to blood, I don't think the reverse can be done, as it was only stated that Death Paintings can convert CE to blood, not the other way around, unless one of the translations says otherwise. Also, yeah I am not surprised about the differences between Sukuna's and Yuji's Shrine technique, as it was hinted many, many times that interpetation was the key to Innate Cursed Techniques evolution and Expansions, such as Megumi interpeting different ways to manipulate his shadow, allowing shadow hopping and shadow storrage, Nanami interpeting that his technique could give the weak points to objects as well, leading to Collapse. Hell, what we see with Yuji and Sukuna might be the same with different Sorcerers with the same Inherited-Innate CT, as maybe Megumi's interpetation of his limited shadow limitation can be different from another Ten Shadow Technique user, even if its just visually. And Yuji probably wasn't aware that Shrine is based off cooking, off a kitchen and just interpeted the moves Cleave and Dismantle as just a cutting technique, explaining why he would use scissors since their the more modern cutting tool, as even kitchen scissors aren't common (to my knowledge), plus everyone was worried about the Flame Arrow Sukuna had wgen they started jumping him, which meant Yuji didn't know how Sukuna did that, which meant Yuji didn't know that Shrine was a cooking technique. BUT, now that Yuji heard the "Furnace, Open", he most likely can deduct that Shrine is a cookimg technique and now knows what he could possibly do. So with that said, the key to evolving one's Innate Technique, therefor fortifying that 80% of one's moveset, as CT make to that amount of a sorcerers arsenal, they need imagination and knowledge, to further advance their interpetation of their technique.
I assumed the reverse could be done bcuz Choso said in the chapter that him and Yuj wouldn’t need to worry about the disadvantage of RCT taking too much cursed energy. So if that’s not an issue with them, they might be converting blood to cursed energy. I could be wrong tho
So I just checked the viz translations. Choso says, “We can cover the technical parts with our constitution, so we don’t experience the massive cursed energy consumption” Their constitution is converting CE > to blood. Blood isn’t used to manipulate RCT tho, CE is. So if they’re not affected by the huge CE consumption, either Choso can convert their blood to CE, or I’m not understanding something correctly.
@@FakeWeeb(Updated the comment now that I finished the video) I mean, in hindsight, it could work? But it might be more of a downside, as blood is MORE important then CE, because you need blood in your body to live, and wasting precious blood to get CE seems like a waste when you could hold out until you generate some more. And if someone says that "They can use their CE to get more blood, bo biggie", they would be wasting the CE they JUST got from sacrificing their blood, to get back said blood they sacrificied by wasting the CE they sacrificied for. Its just not efficient.
@@FakeWeeb It could be linked to either the fact that like 1 unit of CE results in a lot of blood OR depending on one's CE Control and efficiency, it cuts down the CE cost.
what are the chances Yuji will swap with Megumi? and then summon Mahoraga who now has adapted to Fuga to absorb the hit? What if Yuji's DE is a version of Idle Transifuration, and since he's seen Megumi's soul while hitting Sukuna with these punches, has managed to transform into him/use his techniques? the next chapter is going to be wild! looking forward to whatever happens
It should be a closed domain, because if not “ a simple domain” will not protect you, it’s easy one the biding vows is “ no pocket dimension inside the barrier, that will include everything”
Yuji switched with Yuta and Kusakabe, Yuta switched with Yuji and Hakari, Hakari taught him how to move his barrier, Yuta taught Hakari RCT Pretty confident with these, not sure who Choso switched with.
I think that in JJK the individual is build of 3 things The Body - the physical flesh, bone and blood, DNA and the alike, a vessel to interact with the physical world. The Mind - Memories, ego, the sense of self, with the mind we interact with cursed energy The Soul - that which exists beyond the physical, the spiritual part of us, it contains both information of the Body and the Mind What I think a CT like Ui's does is that it switches the minds of individuals or changes the parts of the soul where the mind is, Mahito would be the opposite, his CT changes the parts of the soul where the body information resides And I think that CE connects all 3 of those components And if they truly and fully switched souls it would be like consuming a Cursed Object, and we have seen that in such cases both the mind the body change to suit the dominant soul
Can't Yuta just copy Ui Ui's technique and either use the body swap without restrictions like the cursed speech or just 2 swap but 2 from Yuta and another 2 from Ui Ui ? If Yuji swaped with Yuta then he would not only learn RCT but also many other copied techniques as well ?
Sukunas true technique and I’ve known it for months is exposure. Once he learns all your souls ingredients he copies it then has a cook off with you. It’s why he says fuga (open). He spreads your soul so thin you lose your sense of self. You need an overwhelming sense of self to challenge him or no sense of self at all
3:58 - I think the idea of the design is that this disfigured "thing" at the center of the domain is "uncaged" in this incomplete form. The Shrine itself, when properly summoned, has these mouths appearing from inside it, like there is a monster inside. I think this is the monster. The shrine itself cages whatever this is inside it.
Iirc in the character profile, Yuji is good at cooking and also teach Megumi how to cook something at some point. Never thought that small character details could amount this much.
I feel like the second person Yuji switched with was Choso. That makes the most sense, Choso learned RCT while Yuji learned simple domain. Since Choso would already know blood manipulation and has the same body type as Yuji him learning it through Chosos body makes the most sense
Choso doesn’t need to learn RCT. He’s a Death Womb, Painting; it comes naturally to him. I reckon Yuji switched with Kusakabe first to learn Simple Domain, then switched with Choso to learn RCT and teach the domain technology to Choso.
I think it's either Shoko or Gojo Yuji learnt RCT from as the conversation seemed like an indication that Hakari and Yuta just got lucky in the RCT department. However with Gojo, this is not the case as we know from the Hidden Inventory Arc.
this actually begs the question of what did sukuna think Jogo knew about and why would cursed spirits not know about it? At that point Jogo was only aware of sukuna having a technique that can cut things and Sukuna expected that Jogo would not be suprised by "open, furnace". Probably gege just forgot to have sukuna mention "Shrine" to jogo.
Yugi would perhaps reminisce about the time they cremated his grandfather with Sakuna's fuga, and perhaps unlock a flame ability that puts his opponent to rest in peace. Or perhaps a flame that heals or brings back the dead to life.
Sukuna is using binding vows for exchanging information. Because information can't be destroyed, he can create binding vows that essentially let him to min/max his domain because your domain is just information inside your brain. He removes the knowledge of certain parts of his CT in exchange to boost parts of his CT. I think the reason other sorcerer don't do this is because it requires an understanding of how valuable such information is.
bro the open thing you said on the last part makes me roll on the floor lol, anyway great review regarding the chapter. I think Yuji will use the Open Refrigerator to counter the Open Furnace LOL
