As hugh Kings fan. I do appreciate the love DeMarcus has for the city of Sacramento. He did alot within the community that gets overshadowed by his temper on the court! Wish we could have surrounded him with better players and coaches while he was here.

As a kings fan the real truth to this video is that everything that could go wrong did go wrong. The management sucked, the players weren't giving him help, and mistake after yet another mistake. It wasn't his fault and in fact he's the only guy on the Warriors that I kinda in my heart want to win a championship.

The kings were actually playing well before the firing of Mike Malone. But Cousins got meningitis and while he was away from the team, Malone got fired and the kings started losing again.

About everything went wrong with the Cousins era in Sacramento. Bad drafting, the fucking Maloofs, the first years of Ranadive were a nightmare baring him saving the franchise from relocation. Bad player development of those we did draft, bad trades. etc. As a kings fan, I have nothing but respect for cousins as long as he doesn't become a fucking laker.

Cousins might look angry all the time but he is a cool person behind the scenes. I went to see him one time when the kings visited my beloved Clippers and everytime I go to a game I like to get there "when the doors open" just to see the players practice and he was there practicing and I asked him for an autograph and he actually stopped practicing and sign my jersey, it was a clippers jersey but I didn't care lol.

DMC is like Kemba Walker of the West (stats wise) during that era. Plays very well on a bad team.

His personality and injury derailed his future. Can’t say the king did a good trade to get rid of him but they would still struggle and in a mess with him. That’s for sure. Btw, I saw too many warriors fan complained about injuries this playoffs. I've been a Kings fan since the powder blue jerseys of the Reggie Theus era and this was by far the toughest time to be a fan. As much as a talent DeMarcus Cousins was as a player , he was far worse of a headache for fans. The ongoing moving drama didnt help things either. It was unfortunate to deal with as a player but he didnt make things well with teammates, coaches, fans, local media , residents or even himself. It was like he was holding the team back from being competitive. You had to hold your breath every time the referee blew his whistle because of his short temper , buy into his ridiculous beliefs (Tupac being alive) or put up with his "woe is me" attitude because of his so called rough upbringing. Dude was a bully to opponents and teammates alike . As a Sacramento resident, I had my own share of run ins with "Boogie being Boogie" , which was being a jerk . So did my coworkers, friends and colleagues. Sacramento got more blame than it deserved on Cousins behavior because of where the team was at the time but also of our market. Had he started his career in NY or LA for example, he would've gotten more of the blame he deserved. Well that blame is already starting in the Bay area for his dismal finals performance. The Kings are definitely at a better place now without him. Hell, they were since Vlade traded him away. Yeah, he gave back to the city of Sacramento with his charitable contributions. He just didnt give back to the Kings. Good riddance.

If Tyreke played PG, Jimmer took a bench role, Mike Malone stayed & McLemore played SF and more aggressive and during his early days, we wouldn't be watching this video. It wasn't the players, it wasn't Cousins, it was indeed the orginzation bad decisions

Cousins was literally in the exact same situation as Kevin Love and Kemba Walker. Putting up big numbers on a poorly constructed team with bad ownership not leading to success to even make the playoffs.

Kings fan here. I think Cousins inability to stay in the floor because of foul trouble was the real problem not the lackluster draft picks. Fredette and Robinson were great in college so it made sense to draft them.

Kings fan here. Bad draft picks and cousins bad attitude really cemented those terrible seasons. It was scary when they traded cousins because of all that potential with him. Trading him was the greatest thing that happened to the Kings. He may have superstar talent but he also is a plague to team chemistry. He is on his best behavior with the warriors, because he knows his place right now. Trading cousins may be a huge negative in talent but its a major boost in team chemistry. So thanks New Orleans for Buddy Hield.
