If it was me I still wouldn’t care. I don’t care how ugly my lawn is because I don’t find nice lawns appealing at all. I much prefer gawking at uncultivated nature. Like an open prairie or forest. But that’s just me.😂
It was already dead by the time he mowed it, he runs the mower over it and it’s dead underneath? He didn’t do anything to the guys lawn that he isn’t allowed to, He fucking says it in the video. Are you guys really this slow?
My neighbor has a riding lawnmower, and every time he mows his yard, he mows my front yard also. I have backyard chickens, so I repay him by giving him plenty of eggs. The family behind us puts up with the roosters crowing, so we keep them in eggs too. They also all feed their leftovers to the chickens, which helps cover the cost to feed them. We all grow and trade fruits and vegetables too. I’m so VERY grateful for my wonderful neighbors.
In Belgium, I don’t know what year but recently, there was a program where any family who wanted them got three hens. The landfill usage went down by some amount of tonnage, because the scraps were being fed to the chickens
That's actually super neat. I love it when things work out as a win for everyone involved especially in a world where it seems like for any bit of success or to get something done, you have to screw over someone else. So good on you and your neighbors for doing that. :)
very nice! my neighbors dogs bark all day and night and it took me yelling at him to his face just to get him to stop parking his ugly truck on my property plus his yard is trashy and ugly so good for you
I imagine your neighbor looks forward to coming home to see what kind of hellish activity his neighbor did to the lawn this time lol. I'm glad they get along!
@@vega1263 "I could not care less" is correct, since you couldn't care any less. People often say "I could care less" to mean the same thing, despite it being the opposite
You're one of many who don't. Most of the time it's someone saying "I could care less", which is done with a sarcastic context. What? Are you going to correct me if I say "I give a shit"? *ACKCHYUALLY* it's "I don't give a shit". Glad I could educate you on this matter :)
No, he cut it back and top dressed the whole lawn to level it out. The grass will grow through. You can see that there are uneven patches of topdressing on the lusher lawn so it had a few dips too. In four weeks it will look as smooth as a putting green.
@@TheLittleShits bad neighbors are very common, shitty ppl in general is common so yea it is pretty awesome that his neighbor isn’t an asshole. and tbh a lot of ppl just don’t interact with their neighbors at all so it’s nice seeing neighbors get along.
Bro is the most destructive lawn mower I’ve ever seen lmao that seed at the end or whatever it was lmao 😂 Glad you and your neighbor are chill like that
It's called scalping. It helps get rid of dead grass and exposes the soil to sunlight, making it fertile and produce healthy grass. You cut the grass super short to do just that.
@@squirtlebob7144when grass is overgrown or not watered regularly or both patches get either smothered/rotted, dried out/baked in the sun. When you trim the grass down some extra, you’re letting the soil breathe and encouraging natural re-growth. This doesn’t happen because he cut the grass. Honestly he probably uses different grass supplements to help his side stay strong, and waters it more regularly than the rain would naturally. I also suspect it might have to do with sun exposure variances due to shadows cast from surrounding homes. Some yards just more sun. Some get too much, some barely get any. Regardless, it’s nice of him to cut the grass, but feeding the grass out of his own pocket shouldn’t be expected. Putting sand down is already above and beyond. Also I’m pretty sure in Arizona they pay A LOT for water to discourage overuse during summer months. Even more of a reason not to water someone else’s grass, and would explain why the neighbour doesn’t care to himself. Most lawns that aren’t invested in at least moderately look like this when they’re scalped. It’s definitely not his fault. He’s just preventing further damage by scalping it, also giving him more of a break in between mowing the other side that isn’t his to take care of. Depending on municipal laws, you could technically get fined for not maintaining your property (long grass is the reason my dad got charged.) So he’s saving him a lot of time, money, and inconvenience by doing what he already does for them.
My neighbors across the street hate eachother and are super petty. There's a patch of grass in between their driveways that they both insist belong to the other. Both neighbors refuse to mow it. This has been going on for years. I got sick of looking at their waist-high weeds so I went over there and handled it. I tore everything out at the roots and put stone in. Even planted little flowers around the edge. Now, they fight over the little patch. If one does upkeep, they other gets mad. Can't win w some ppl.
@@coloraddiction Honestly, it's completely obvious who's side it's on. I can't understand why there was ever any discussion abt it in the first place. It clearly lines up with one neighbor's property and not the other's. But yes, I completely agree. I think ppl just like drama and thats all this whole thing I really abt.
That's how neighbors should be!!! I'm 46 and things are nothing like they use to be 30 years ago. Families aren't as close as they use to be, and most people don't even know their neighbors.
There's plenty of true neighbor drama on the internet. Then some are more than drama. Some have crossed the line into basic civilian war of neighbors and even the neighborhood versus one neighbor.
You assume that the neighbour isn't merely placating by ignoring the constant faffing. Do you imagine the neighbour happened to want a mirror image of that extremely bizarre and needy merkin?
It’s just petty. I don’t think anyone would be outwardly mad, but me and my neighbor who shared grass similar to this would trade off mowing. Whoever got to it first. Just little things of being a good neighbor
@@starlittered yeah if you both agree but you don’t have a right to just expect your neighbor to take your responsibilities for you. That is very obvious
we moved into my house last summer and were pleased with how awesome all 3 of our surrounding neighbors are! the ones to the side of us mow our lawn everytime they do theirs! (we barely have a lawn, smaller than the strip in this video!)
Our yard used to be immaculate, & the our family had a series of tragedies & medical issues. We were no longer able to care for our yard & it became overgrown & weed infested. One day one of our neighbors let us know exactly how he felt about it & when I tried to explain exactly what we were going through he told me that "we all have our own problems, but we still manage to take care of our yards." It was heart breaking & infuriating. After that everytime he saw us he'd yell insults. One day I noticed that the strip of grass that was connected to another neighbors yard had been mowed & weeded. When I went to thank them we got to talking & I explained what was going on. After that our yard was cut & weeded everytime they did theirs. Now I take them sweets like cakes, cookies, & pies everytime I bake to say thank you. One act of kindness really can make the difference. I thank God every day for them, & ask for help to forgive the other neighbor.😊
My neighbors mowed our grass when my grandparents were sick and when I thanked them, they reminded me that my grandpa would mow everybody's grass and that they knew something had to be wrong for our own to become overgrown. You can't beat good neighbors.
@@threemar3 It ain't that fucking simple lmao. Why do you think so much drama exists in the world? It's like saying "Just don't start a war". We are hostile animals by nature.
We recently moved into a house, and I looked out the door one day, to see our neighbor approaching my house, he very kindly asked if it bothered us if he would continue mowing our lawn even though we bought the house. He likes to mow the lawn, and says it's good exercise so he really enjoys doing it. This man had no idea that I'm disabled, but it is so very awesome to have a neighbor who genuinely wants to help out but not out of pity or pettyness. He just wants a work out. LOL I just love the fact that he originally approached, to make sure that we weren't angry at him from mowing our lawn 😂
My husband and our nextdoor neighbor are like this, our lawns dont have a break between them, so who ever gets off their ass first normally just does the whole thing, we have incredibly nice neighbors! ( They had a front yard bbq for all the neighbors, how crazy is that? I thought that was the most wholesome thing ever lol)
How is that crazy? I thought neighbourhood parties and bbqs were normal in the states (if that is where you’re from) My neighbourhood in Ireland has a lane party every summer, when I brought some of friends to it they said it was ‘so American’ to have a party like that😂
@@medb8882 i didnt mean it was crazy in a bad way, i thought it was awesome, its just ive never seen anything like it lol it just seemed very 1950s-esque ya know? I am in America ( Colorado) btw but my one and only dream is to go to Ireland someday! Where in Ireland do you live?
@@colesuqsyes sorry I recognised you meant it in a good way, which is why I commented that, sorry for being confusing! I just thought it was the norm across the states. I know what you mean by 1950s-esque tho 😂 community gatherings do so much for neighbourhoods. Cool that you live in Colorado, I’ve heard the scenery is beautiful there and have always wanted to visit. I am from Dublin but living currently in Canada 🇨🇦 if you happen to visit Ireland, please please listen to me when I say spend most of your time outside of Dublin, only spend 2 or 3 days there, and go outside of the city! The west coast of Ireland has so many beautiful towns and villages, and the best hospitality. People in the countryside often go out of their way to help tourists. My favorite county is Donegal up north, so many places and beaches up there that are stunning and not as many international tourists. Ireland’s countryside is home to some of the most accommodating and witty people I’ve ever met. Truly the salt of the earth 😊 whatever people say of American tourists, pay it no mind because in reality most Irish love meeting American people!!
People are tripping. I don’t cut my neighbors side, they don’t cut my side. It’s a mutual understanding. We’re busy and we all need to get our things done. You take care of your property. That’s it, simple.
My old neighbor was a bit obsessed about his lawn. I used to mow some of his and he's mow some of mine. He didn't like the way that I mowed his little strip of lawn that was adjacent to mine so he asked me to stop. He took over the adjacent strips and started to fertilize and mow my lawn for me. We were both happy.
“Sometimes I use it as a miniature golf course” 🤣😂🤣😂 As a person who’s employed in the industry that supports the golfing sport; I found this absolutely hilarious!
Us and our neighbors used to just mow a couple passes onto each others lawn and it worked out well, blended the transition nicely you couldn't even tell where one started and ended and absolutely no one cares about your lawn that much
That’s how it’s supposed to be done it’s like a gentlemen’s agreement but u would be surprised I worked in the landscaping business for 10yrs and some ppl r anal about the stupidest shit lol
@@supaflyyowenYeah there's definitely people who obsess over their lawns. I mean if that's what makes um happy, but if I didn't live in the city my lawn would probably be overgrown. As it is now I just do the bare minimum with mine and mow it once a month. I literally couldn't care less about my lawn.
@@Jack-sw1km lol maybe. I saw it as this guy really fucking cares a lot about his grass and uses saw dust as a fertilizer. Wich I googled, apparently that's a thing but you have to mix the sawdust with an additive, which he probably does because he seems passionate about his grass. Hence the giant machine he invested in that doesn't look cheap to dump fertilizer everywhere. Just goes to show his neighbor really doesn't care and he's probably greatful to have a neighbor that does :/// ISNT REALITY SO FUCKING BLAND it's better to pretend it's just for the comment section, but realistically? Yeah probably not lol

You poor thing. I'm sorry about those responses. Some people like to comment and think they have the best "thinkalogic" of the world. They are people who always know best. And here goes my "thinkalogic" of you: I think you're great!! Keep doing a good job. When I saw the video the first time, I laughed so hard. 😂
Lol, beautiful lawn. Sometimes people was to make up their own stories of trouble, also some can't believe the neighbors would be Karens because that what they live next door. 😅 ❤
Too many people will not do this, and technology has only helped these billions invade the privacy of others and even manipulate others lives, society is only getting sicker, and keeping quiet and burying your head won't make it go away, a reckoning is coming due even if you don't mind your government employee neighbors WATCHING you in the shower 😉
My neighbor yelled at me for mowing it. Asked us unkindly not to mow it. Then told our other neighbors that we refused to when he asked us to. Some people are just weird but it's nice to know you have a nice neighbor.
I mean, if you mowed their lawn without permission, they have a right to be angry and you did do wrong, though they could have told you so in a more civil manner.
@@enzoGenshinGaming would you really be mad over your lawn getting mowed? I feel it's unreasonable to get mad unless you only told them occasionally and they didn't listen but from that person's comment I feel they may have been asked and then the weirdo got mad.
@@whydoyousmell1974My neighbors sometimes mows the one little bit of my lawn that is facing the street when they mow theirs. Honestly feels kinda weird cuz it just gives me the feeling that they don't approve of my mowing schedule (I do it just enough to avoid the county/city getting on my ass about it) and so they do it themselves. They never asked, and it's only that little bit facing their street (ignoring the rest of the yard outside of my fence) but I never cared enough to try to stop em. Growing up, we had a strip of grass a few feet wide between the driveways. We both cared for our yards, but neither cared for that strip. Sure, we'd take turns mowing it, but no one was putting in any more work, no one watered, seeded, fertilized. No one got mad if it was driven on, or otherwise damaged. It was great.
