Lot's of questions around the wrap and insurance. A wrap counts as a "modification" so legally, you need to tell your insurance company (or they could use it as a reason not to cover you). Assuming premiums go up because if you're involved in an accident, they would not only have to cover the repair of the damage but also to re-wrap the section that has been damaged. That also limits who/where they can get the repair done (may not be one of their own garages). Hope that helps.

It's not really that crazy if you were to get in accident repair costs would be higher since it needs to be painted then wrapped

What I love about Tesla are all those little things like sentry mode, software updates, notifications, that 3D traffic view .. other brands do electric cars but what I found after test driving them is that they felt like electrified versions of their standard cars.. whereas Tesla is truly unique!! 😊😊

For sound add some sound proof padding around the doors and trust me it really makes a difference. Mine is much quieter than before plus they are very cheap on Amazon.

If you ever decide to wrap your car, remember to ask for satin black (not matte black). Satin black is what you see in the video. If you do matte black, it will be a dirty black that's also a fingerprint magnet. Enjoy!

Very informative video. Lots of useful tips. Good to see RU-vidrs driving EV and promote electric cars. Shame you didn't mention anything about environment. The reason I bought my first EV nearly 5 years ago is that I can take advantage of my solar panels. Also worth mentioning the driving costs are lot cheaper then petrol or diesel car.

I actually informed with three different companies to get my car wrapped and all three they mentioned they cannot guarantee it will not damage the paint job. One told me literally I should remove it again within max five years or chances are pretty steep that there will be paint damage. Therefor I'm not surprised that insurance goes up if you wrap the car...

Great job. I’m at 9 months w mine. Is the higher insurance because they think they’ll have to pay for the wrap replacement? Seems like that could be negotiated away. One small pt of contention: you’re hearing wind noise because the car is so quiet.

Great video. As soon as refresh comes out I'm getting the performance M3!! The anticipation is killing me😢😢 I test drove it and the handling is amazing , the acceleration , no words can describe !!! It actually made me nauseous for a second as I wasn't prepared 😂😂

Do the tinted side mirrors annoy you when the car is in reverse? I hear the model S actually "un-tints" them when backing up. Can you maybe think about an update for this so Tesla can read your mind again? ;) Also random phantom breaking on autopilot has been quite interesting. I got the model 3 refresh right after Christmas.

Why would market cap (set by investor sentiment) have any correlation to panel gaps? Tesla is still young as a car company and still riding the learning curve of manufacturing. Tesla spends more time on the powertrain than on the body, and that is the right way to do it.

I'm kind of watching this with a bitter heart, because my model S broke down 2 days after pick up. Then will I was on the highway it just slammed the brakes and shut the doors. Then I bought the new Model 3 and the window basically blow up after 2 weeks.

doubling wrapped car insurance is mad so that would mean i would never wrap the any car. i see no point to the insurance company valuing wrapping at the same cost as the car value. They could just simply say we do not cover any wrap damage or replacement any parts replaced will be done with out the wrap being put back on. the wrap is to protect the car from damage the wrap takes the damage and not the car paint from what i have heard so it saves insurance companies money.

I wanted to PCP but something occurred to me - considering the technology moving on so quickly . in 3 years, will my tesla be worth a decent figure if I PCP? .. or neg eq. ..i.e. new technology will make the older models lose value especially as better technology is moving at such a pace, .... maybe I should just lease? .... it's cheaper and I usually change my car anyway after 3 years max, .......

Younger people are not paying attention to the baggiest issue with this car. The no dashboard and media panel. For people with reading glasses, the position of the panel to the side, the menus structure and font size is a big issue

Tesla told me the condensation in my tail light was normal and did not swap it out for me. They said it was designed to drain water. I guess that I will need to schedule another appointment.
