The buttercup incident could have easily been a misunderstanding (they were a child after all). While you may bring up Chara laughing at Asgore being poisoned, laughing away pain is a common theme in Undertale, such as with Snowdrake’s Dad - Mettaton was originally built as a human extermination robot that got a taste of stardom - The ability to SAVE and LOAD is available only to whomever has the most DETERMINATION in the Underground. The money will go to a heated limo to reunite the spiders from the Ruins, who cannot cross Snowden - Burgerpants is only a nickname. - Yes, Alphys is a girl. - All of the monster souls in the Underground equal about one human soul, which is why Asriel can break the barrier (which needs seven human souls) with only six in his possession
Don't forget that there is *literally a hundred* of variations to the Neutral Ending, depending on who you do or don't kill. Papyrus also doesn't take you to the garbage dump, but the shed next to his house, where he built a "cage" for you. Buuuuut he made the bars too far apart, so you can just walk through. Which I think is a reference to that old meme about baby rhinos being dangerous and a stupid guy trying to build a cage.
additionally, they didn't specify the major theory around Ghaster, Sans and Papyrus which is, in my opinion, very important to understand the Meta of the game/universe (Obvs Spoilers ahead!) Ghaster vanished and nobdy knows where he went, he only appears through secrets during the game as fragments. In SnowdIn people say Sans and Papyrus just appeared one day and nobody knows where they came from before they settled down. Sans "Ghaster Blasters" are a major hint that they either knew Ghaster or are literally part of him. The theory is that Ghaster split his soul into two during his soul experiments (accident or not isn't clear) Sans and Papyrus very well resemble the right (Papyrus) and left (Sans) parts of the brain, as Papyrus is very child-like and creative but unable to be analytical, while Sans is very focused, analytical, but emotionally very shallow/neutral if not threatened, yet VERY aware of living in different timelines and he is the ONLY creature in this game (even Flowey and the player don't seem to be able) that's able to teleport / using time rifts to jump between rooms / dimensions. While Sans power is obvious to anyone who played the genocide route or certain neutral runs, Flowey points out in some special ending that he's only talked to Papyrus because he was the only one he could never truly predict (like a child never does the same thing twice, which also hints at him as right side of the brain)
@@tatze2919 Your theory makes sense save for one part. In an official Q&A that Papyrus did, he mentions that before Snowdin, him and Sans lived in a place with “green grass”. There aren’t any places with grass that we know of, and we see almost no green foliage except for the golden flowers. Some theorize that they came from Deltarune originally, as it would make a lot of sense that Sans knows a lot about timelines and such if he came from another timeline or even an AU (Deltarune is confirmed to be an AU).
I mean it could be but understanding from what Toby said, while they are AU's, they have no other connection like time / universal travelling and identical characters being present in both universes. But as Ghaster seems to be highly powerful even after his disappearance which gets obvious with all the secret cutscenes and dialouges, I could very well imagine he had his own pocket dimension or had a inter-universal way to get into the human world for his studies of human souls, and lived somewhere with green grass. I'm unsure how old monsters can get, but it may also be possible from how deteriorated Ghaster looks, that he may have very well lived at times humans and monsters lived together on the surface, which means he DID in fact came from somewhwere with green grass since he maybe was born on the surface, which also gave Ghaster the possibility to start his research, as while monsters seem smart, i doubt they would just throw all this tech stuff up from out of nowhere. Sans knowledge about the timetraveling, timelines, etc. could also play into that, since he, as the logical half of powerful Ghaster, would be able to process that information and use it to his benefits, but yet as he isn't the original, he can't use his knowledge and power to his full extend.

The video made an error with the Undyne hangout, Undyne didn't invite us to her house, she didn't want to see us, but Papyrus wanted us to meet Undyne so he basically didn't tell Undyne that he was gonna bring a guest, Undyne kept up a mask in front of Papyrus so Papyrus doesn't get sad and allowed us in, when Papyrus "remembers" to use the bathroom he leaves and Undyne tries to kick us out, but Papyrus comes back saying that seems like Undyne wasn't up to the challenge (of befriending Frisk), so Undyne is shocked and does her best to become our best friend as revenge for humiliating her in battle, we then burn her house down and become besties Also about Frisk and Flowey, Flowey has the ability to reset UNTIL we start playing the game and control Frisk, so in the whole game we have the ability to reset, Flowey, of course, hates that fact, because only 1 person can have that ability at a time (the person with the most determination), but he can't do anything about it, until the Neutral ending where Flowey absorbs the 6 human souls to become Omega Flowey, in that fight Flowey has the ability to reset and you can't access your savefile anymore, we of course defeat flowey because the souls rebelled, but in true pacifist, Flowey, as Asriel, gets the ability again because he has the 6 human souls + the soul of almost every single monster (which equals to 1 human soul, monsters are weaker), and we can't access our save until we defeat Asriel

I would suggest to watch "who is the true villian of undertale?" by: Fleur Marigold, to further understand their character because there is a very big misinterpretation with the character.

You should check out andrew cunninghams video "what was so good about undertale anyway." It's not really a lore vid, although it gives some great insight into to some of the characters. But it does do a great job explaining why undertale is one of the best videogames ever made.
btw one of the greatest things about undertale is the characters, they have an incredible amount of depth and this video tells you VERY little about them
You should watch 'Who Is The True Villain of Undertale' cause it's very misunderstood within the fandom who Chara is as a Character. And their intentions are misconstrued because of what happens at the end of the genocide playthrough.
It's still true that Chara wasn't a very good person. They may have been hurt, but all they could think about was revenge. They could've lived peacefully in the underground, but they had to poison the king and even went as far as killing themselves just to get revenge on the humans.
(To my knowledge) I think the only time Flowey uses the save and load feature is when he turns into his Photoshop form, and uses it to kill you over and over again.
There’s a bunch of endings. Major Endings, Side Endings, Neutral Endings, I’m pretty sure the major endings are True Pacifest: Actually spare people not flee, can only play after neutral ending so you know the story. Pacifest: Flee or spare, Genocide: kill every monster. EVERY MONSTER. There’s also some genocidal side quests after finishing it. Soulless Pacifest: Complete True Pacifest After Genocide. 12:26 nope you're playing the game blindly. You only really discover the past after traveling through the underground and slowly reading signs/history bits spread around the underground. Most of flowey's history is actually revealed in the genocide route (like him being able to reset and finding himself in flowey's body and stuff) though like this vid explained there are clips about chara and asriel in the true lab of alphys in the pacifist route.
something interesting to note, is at the end all the monsters walk to the right, all but sans, its a running gag that sans can manipulate space to move wherever he wants, but its also a nod to the fact sans knows the world is gunna reset, so he doesn't even bother trying to leave the underground, and presumably, goes back inside. ready to wake up and do it all over again.
Chara likely saw how nice the monsters were and heard the history of how humans attacked and sealed the monsters underground for basically no reason other than irrational fear, so they got angry because of the cruelty of the humans, and wanted to have revenge.
Ud have to play the game to know the lore, so if u didnt know anything about undertale u could kill toriel, but thats just for a genocide route. But i guess u could say shes the Tu-Toriel boss (i had to, i love undertale & this joke isnt used as much as it used to be)
Fun Fact: if you do the killer route you completly ruin the game the game like tells you not to do the killer way and if you do you will never be able to do the pacifist ending properly

You might understand SOME things but it doesn't do the game justice. Undertale is a great game with an even greater story and to resort to someone else telling you what happens just diminishes the quality. It is *_NEVER_* implied that the poisoning of their adoptive father was intentional. It *_IS_* however implied that Chara is kinda... suicidally depressed and holds immense resentment for humankind for what they did to them? Atleast the specific village. They want to free monsterkind, and they just need seven human souls to help with that. Considering what the humans did to them, it's entirely likely that the specific humans would have deserved it. Almost noone on the Internet gets Chara right. Least of all the ones calling Chara *_the_* villain of Undertale. Chara is neutral. The only way you can even beat pacifist is with Chara's help. Same goes for geno, only there, Chara retains power and directive. A directive, given by you, the player.

You say all those nice things about Alphys just because you haven't experienced her in game. She's the most annoying character of all. Not even Sans in the genocide rute's final battle is as hard to deal as Alphys giving you a phone message per second during the puzzles in Hotlands, giving close to useless advices cuz she sets up the whole thing with the puzzles and Mettaton wanting to kill you just to "be part of your adventure" by helping you surpass the challenges she put in your way. She's also a stalker who put cameras everywhere and was watching the player's journey all along since we leave the Ruins, and basically lied to Undyine about her knoledge on human history by saying that humans have mechas and big swords (basically making her believe that the anime she watches is human history to seem cool). Not to mention how she quick paniqued during her failed experiments with the fallen monsters, injecting determination on monsters who were about to die to try and preserve their souls, which ultimately melts them and fuses them together in the amalgamites, always ignoring the messages of their families asking about their relatives who where donated for the experiments. All in all, it is still sad how it is implied that in any neutral rute where we kill Undyne she gets depressed and commits die.

They're all named after fonts, they all speak in those fonts (though they can use other fonts; a recent Deltarune newsletter shows Sans speaking in cursive, and Gaster uses a more readable font on the Undertale twitter account and presumably in Deltarune), Sans's Blasters are named after Gaster, while Papyrus implies his Special Attack involves something that would have blasted you, there's unreadable blueprints in the secret room behind Sans's house that have either symbols you can't read, OR terrible handwriting (implying the involvement of either Gaster or Alphys), early Papyrus concept art says he has "a brother named Comic Sans and a [CENSORED] named [CENSORED]"... There might be more, but these are the things I remember offhand.
Chara cared alot about asgore. And theres alot of hints in the game in both Pasifist AND genocide (new home where all diolouge is chara). And humans cant absorb monsters souls. They both kids, ofc they wont know that buttercups were poisonous. The fact they make chara look evil disgusts me
@@errornekochara You are using a strawman. I never said the player was an innocent party. Chara is an evil character for their willing involvement in the Geno route. There's no evidence they made that sweater, only that they find it noteworthy that it's still there.
I wouldn't call chara evil but they like a good person but being abused (this has evidence to support it on Passifist by laughing at snowdrakes mom and this is how they cope with it via laughing) they turned evil
