Welcome back to TheThings Disney fans! If you're like us, you probably think that Princess Jasmine is one of the coolest Disney Princesses of all time. Not only is she brave and kind, but she knows who she is and what she wants. She most likely gets this from her mother, the former Sultana of Agrabah. As many of you know, Jasmine's mother isn't in the picture. She passed away when Jasmine was young, and little is known about her character. So, we were totally caught off guard when Jasmine's mother was mentioned in the live-action film "Aladdin."
It's here that we found out that the late Sultana didn't pass away from natural causes. Nope, her demise was a lot darker than that! So, we couldn't help but wonder how such a beloved and kind ruler would meet such an unlikely fate. Tune into TheThings to find out the truth about what happened to Jasmine's mother in "Aladdin."

I have an idea of what could have happened to Jasmine's mother. I do believe Jafar killed her so here's what I'm thinking: Jafar could have tried to kill both the sultana and Jasmine so that when the sultan died, he'd have no heir and Jafar could take over. Jafar may have tried to poison the two by sneeking some kind of poison into their drinks. The sultana could have taken a sip of her's, tasted it, relize it was poison, and before dying she could have slapped the drink out of Jasmine's hands so her dear daughter wouldn't die too, and thanks to her protective father, Jasmine stayed alive and safe from Jafar. Now, this is just an idea, I don't know if I'm right or not but that's how I think it could have been.

I believe jafar killed Jasmine's mother cuz he said that he has been in a shirabad jail and that he wanted to invade shirabad which is where Jasmine's mother's kingdom is

Jasmine's mother died when Jasmine was three years of age, so she had a childminder to look after her while the Sultan was away. A childminder is a child care worker or babysitter.

I have a theory about the queen's death: 🐍 In the IRL ver. of the movie, Jafar said that he used to be just like Aladdin aka very poor, so what if Jafar killed the queen before he became the assistant to the king. My theory is that he killed the queen while he was poor amd then used his staff to hypnotize the gaurds in the castle, and when he finally got to the king hypnotized the king, and after he became assistant, he blamed it on Aladdin so that he wouldn't get in trouble, or possibly murdered himself. Then after breaking the king's heart, he used his staff to make the king trust him. Then Aladdin was forgotten about until he appeared in the palace, then eventually became king after defeating Jafar and dehypnotizing the king. Does thet make sense?

the book based on the live-action remake mentioned that jasmine's mother was killed by a group of vicious thieves who weren't from agrabah while she was visiting the town. been thinking about that for a while lol

I didn’t even THINK Jafar would kill Jasmines mom Here’s my thought Jasmines mom new Jafar was evil but she new she couldn’t stop him so she went to the cave of wonders to wish for him to be banished but since she wasn’t the diamond in the rough she was killed 😁❤️😁😍😍🐍

My theory of why Jafar would kill the Sultana •Jafar dated the Sultana and left him for the Sultan and he wanted revenge on Sultana •Jafar used Sultana as a sacrifice to get the lamp but she failed •Jafar wanted to control both kingdoms and decides to kill the Sultana in order to manipulate the Sultan to get control over the kingdoms These are my theories I don’t know if they are true or not but maybe we will see in the future??

Hola! I love this video! Thank you, thank you, thank you for calling Jasmine's mother Sultana! That is the only part of the movie that truly got on my nerves! Also, I loved Jasmine's story arc in the live action movie! Although Jasmine's desire to help her people started strongly in the TV Series too.

Also, I'm sure Jafar killed Jas's mother. Whether he was trying to kill the Sultan and Jas's mother fell victim or the Sultana was Jafar's target all along, I have no doubt he orchestrated her murder.

🐍 I think the theory where the sultana tried to tell the sultan about jafars actions it’s just how jasmine tried to do that as well but instead of nadar killing jasmine he decided to make her suffer by torturing her father as when he killed the sultana got him no where and no chance of marrying her he tried not to make that same mistake (plz like this comment)

In the 2019 Live Action Remake? (Which I’m not a fan of) I do believe Jafar killed her. In the 1993 Animated Film? No. Because I believed it was natural cause or something like that. But I do think there’s a 1% Chance that Jafar killed her.
