Ant is a phenomenal presenter. In fact, even though I've been watching motorsport for 20+ years, I had no idea he worked for mercedes, so hats off to him for being perhaps the only Sky presenter to not openly show bias.

I grew up and went to school with Antony and his brothers, we used to play Nintendo and mega drive games together! Was always a nice kid and following his career has been a pleasure, well done Ant, your still living the dream. Ask him if he remembers the Burton twins?

Love Anthony. When I see him I instantly listen and hear accurate current detailed information. He is meticulous dedication. focus and scrutiny. I'd have him on my team.

For those not familiar with Ants skills I suggest you look at other material about him. He’s a very very smart guy and has incredible car knowledge. Very detailed oriented. Look at what the sim operators say about him. Total praise for his extremely precise ability to know what’s going on with a car re set up etc. Oh, and v humble too. Top drawer.

It's extremely difficult for Ant to give insights into the Merc sim, without giving any information away, so this was about as close as you're going to get in terms of what he does & how he does it. It was interesting to hear him say that when he's working for Sky F1, he cuts all communication with the team, so he can be objective in his commentary & observations.

Anthony Davidson is probably the best presenter. He's a great driver and should have had a longer F1 career but at least we have him as a presenter now.

Cater for the young drivers? Require the teams to run a reserve driver in one car at each sprint race (with one FP session).

i love Ant because there are only 10 teams I'd love to see 3 car teams moving forward with the 3rd car driver a rookie/less than x race miles, to accommodate this the points scoring system would have to change to mirror that of motogp/btcc

Ants comments always worth listening to ! As for the the " young hopefuls , "how about putting them all into last years F1 cars for a Friday sprint race ? That would preserve this years F1 cars for their usual pilots but give them a chance to shine , ( or not ! ) They could also drive different teams cars each time maybe ?🤔

13:28 In F1 everyone goes against the clock. It's just - at the moment - Max Verstappen does it the best. Because he knows all the factors to be the fastest and RBR has the experience to help him. (The root cause of being the fastest in F1)

Watching Oli Bearman fighting to stay ahead in the closing laps was THE most exciting and nail biting F1 action I've witnessed since the 2021 title deciding race. Ant is correct.... We need to see the younger talent get into race weekends and show that there isn't just 20 brilliant drivers in the world.. there are dozens and dozens of new talented drivers out there who can ALSO compete with the best!

I coach formula drivers on the sim and highly recommend more drivers spend time with coaches to learn the craft and study further

He was a good driver was Ant. I remember when he was reserve driver for BAR he was often as fast as Jenson just never really got a fair shot. I’ve always said you can show your skill in a poor car but Ant had dreadful cars. The Super Aguri was absolutely awful.

I think Ant is great & enjoy his commentary but he disagreed with all the other pundits choosing the pecking order during winter testing naming Mercedes as the 2nd quickest team . We can clearly see now they’re definitely not the 2nd quickest team . Maybe wishful thinking from him as he’s a Mercedes employee ?

Solution: Sprint races are only for test drivers. They drive the cars in that day. Have free practices here and there too. Would fit everything. It would give young drivers a chance, there would be more seats and there would be more entertainment.

They won't be terribly popular if they bin it during the sprint, because that then might take the Grand Prix driver out of qualifying.

No no no... don't pamper rookies. It may sound harsh but I don't want "ok" drivers. I want a grid full of drivers like Verstappen, Leclerc, Norris, Piastri etc. Junior classes are where you scout the talent. F1 should be the final exam. Throwing buckets of money and time at drivers like Sargeant to see if he may or may not have it is just a waste.

In the same way we could still look forward to the races when Michael and Lewis were just as dominant with their cars! Chasing impossible perfection is the sporting objective of F1, sometimes teams and drivers get very close and these are the results...

The whole point of regulation change was closer racing but this has been complete failure . Ironically 2021 was the best season where supposedly cars could follow each other.

Why refer to this Mercedes team as “successful”? People left so the team is different and the results are bad. The team is unsuccessful. The Mercedes team a couple of years ago was successful, this one definitely isn’t.

It’s not really about what “we” want is it. As long as at least one F1 team boss sees Alonso as the best option to maximise WCC points for their team then he’ll remain on the grid. I think people sometimes forget F1 is a constructors series and drivers are employees (albeit important ones) of a team of more than 1,300 people.

I’m English and find it really unfair the way they treat others with their British bias.
