@Erich823 Yeah, there are a few I wish I could add. I'm maxed out on options for a YT poll, though. It is mostly a curiosity because I had someone mention they wouldn't play without the brands, and that's kinda the opposite of how I feel.

Reading these comments makes my head hurt. I am a retired game developer, and i worked with Giants when I was with Focus and they were under the Focus Publishing umbrella. The majority of the commenters here have never worked in game development, and obviously have no idea how it actually works. First, it was considered to switch to Unity or Unreal engine before FS19 came out, and it wasn't feasible. The engine would require so much adjustment to make it run the game, that it was literally better to upgrade the Giants Engine. Not just money wise, but time wise as well. Unity was a closer fit for what is needed to run Farm Simulator, but it also required heavy modification to make certain things work, such as making your own fields and having the AI know how to identify them. These are things that have to be hard coded to the engine, and it was majorly time consuming. As such, the Giants engine still remains the best choice for the game. That isn't to say the Giants engine is perfect, but it takes a lot of work and time to upgrade the engine. They spent two years working on the engine upgrade for FS25, and I have had some hands-on time with the game at FarmCon24. I think they've done great work upgrading it. And not just graphically, but physics feels better too. It's easy to sit back and point fingers at the developers for not including things that a modder has added, but modders can break rules that the game cannot be allowed to do. One of those rules is keeping it accessible and simple for every user. My go to example is Course Play, while a great mod, is not really user friendly for the average player. Add to that how hard it would be to use it well on console with a controller, and you start to understand why it wasn't incorporated into the base game. Speaking of consoles, they have limited resources. That means memory and processing power, etc. Because of this you have to be mindful when making a game that features will be able to work within the specific parameters of a console environment. Imagine how bad it would be to have a console version that was missing, say AI helpers, because there wasn't enough power in the console to run it. And before someone says it, scripted mods like CoursePLay are not allowed on console due to Sony and Microsoft policies, not Giants. Low end PC's have issues because they need some of the console limitations applied to them, but the nature of PC is you need to know your hardware...so you can get bad results if you're not setting things up right on your end. It's the reason there are limits to how many things you can have on a map on console. There is also the manufacturers of the equipment in game, and they have certain rules Giants has to follow as well. John Deere is the reason there is no animal death, because they require the game to have an E for Everyone (Pegi-3) rating. Any death in a game will boost that rating up, and it's contracted by John Deere to have that rating. Mods are not rated, by the way. I'm not defending any decisions made, or the decision to not include something. But as someone who is actually a game developer, it's not just black and white. Every game has to give in certain places to get in others. They decide what they need, based on how they game can perform and what the contracts they have demand. If you like the game, play it. If you don't, move on. Sure, giving constructive feedback is always welcome to anyone in this industry, but let's be honest...how often is it constructive. To be clear, I am not attacking anyone. I just think it's way to easy to sit back and say what should be and accuse the devs of not caring or even trying and you don't know anything about what it takes to make a game in the first place. There is a massive difference in saying you don't like something, and what parts you don't like, to making accusations and putting down the people who made it. You don't get up everyday and go to work 12 hours a day making a game for people to hate. No one making games is doing that. The people who make it do so because they enjoy it. It's a boring and thankless job most of the time. Takes months to years of your hard work before you see anything from it. At the end of the day you try to make the best game you can, and you know it won't be for everyone. You know that no matter what you do there will be people who hate you for it. That's not a job you do unless you love it. You have to care to love it. Cheers.

Thank you! This is honestly some of the most and best laid out information o have read on FS. It even outdoes some rather lacking and overly emotional posts I have seen on Giants FS forum. Maybe I should end up remaking this video, it was out before the cinematic or gameplay reveals, and some thoughts and aspects I clearly didn't explain to my liking, based off of some comments and interpretations. It was meant to highlight a lot of the common complaints, try to explain some reasons that I could find answers about, and raise some questions about others that never seem to be answered. Thank you again for the wonderful information and insight.

So they know the game won't be for everyone, but they still want it to be easily accessible for everyone and thus keep the game simple and arcady? This is just a guess, But I really don't think that like 90% of the real FS playerbase (Not the people who play 30 min for the memes and only fuck around..) would mind a more complex actual farming SIMULATOR rather than the farming game we have now. I also fly in flying sims like MSFS and Xplane. Those sims are lightyears ahead in terms of realism compared to FS. And I know for a fact that those sims still have a lot of casual players. Just because a game is realistic, doesn't mean you can't play it casually. It just pains me to see how much potential FS has to be a great realistic simulator, but instead we still have things like a HUD instead of working screens in the cabin. Why not implement a smart watch to display your money and date/time etc.. There's so many things that can be done to make it more realistic without "scaring" away the casual player. I mean, imagine having a HUD in flight simulators And all the screens and gauges are just still images.. How terrible would that be.. Please know that I'm saying all this out of love for the game. I'm not trying to hate on it, I just want it to reach the potential it can (probably) reach.

While you raise many good points, as other pointed out their dev cycle is predatory and at times lazy, to this day they got bugs in their Dlc that were never addressed, and newly introduced features are really low effort at times
@ViolemAllum

It's also not really a simulator. It's really more of a casual game. They're never going to add anything remotely realistic like compaction. They can't even make properly working pallet physics. It's just a cozy casual game where you paint different textures on a dirt texture.

as a real farmer i love what farming simulator is doing it gives players freedom to play as eal or as arkady as they want. the graphics are good and i like the clean look ove a gritty dark more real look. anothe eason for limiting mods equally is to help with crossplay. if you treat the physics realistically you can get them to work realisticly but also some people like playing and doing stupid thisngs with the physics
@LoneWolfHeroGaming
@LoneWolfHeroGaming 2 месяца назад
My big problem with the physics is that items don't really have weight. They have lifting weight, but no sort of drag or friction. It's what makes loading trailers way more difficult than it should be, especially logs. It's why you can use a stick to move a downed tree. In ways, it can be handy, but I think if they worked more realisticly, you wouldn't need to do it, like the trees that get stuck standing straight up on the stump after being cut. Or the trailers that always tip because the weight doesn't actually push down on the wheels, so the slightest shift in angle topples them because the center of gravity stays higher than it should.

Hold up wait a minute, they make enough money from manufacturers to cover the costs of development! What the heck are they doing with all the other money they’re bringing in? It sure doesn’t look like they’re putting it back into making the game better. That’s a lot of money just banking in from sales.
@LoneWolfHeroGaming
@LoneWolfHeroGaming 2 месяца назад
Well, they did start doing everything in house, so they do have to cover all marketing, distribution, their exports league, and paying all staff. But yes, I imagine that isn't all of the money. I won't blame anyone at Giants for having a large salary, though. I think what the founders and everyone there has accomplished so far has earned them that. But I think there should be more of a focus on improvement than what we see. And that we should have just seen the game instead of a pointless Cinematic. Even 1 minute of gameplay would have made me happier and more excited.

@4DModding Interesing, I wonder why Marketing would claim they are getting paid so much off licensing deals if they are doing them free. That seems like a damaging claim. If that's the case, they could wind up missing out on licensing deals just because someone at a company read that article and no longer wants to take the time to talk. Was it a smaller/less used brand? Maybe they charge some of the larger prominent brands like John Deere, Case, Volvo, and not one like Mack that only has 1 or 2 models. Or could it be based on returning to the game? A first taste is free, sort of thing? Or was it "creative journalism," and the author slightly twisted things to make it sound like it was the licensing deals, but it was really more about making simulators for manufacturers?

I think you are pretty spot-on with this assessment. The game engine is okay, but lacking. If FS22 was released in 2016, things would be much more on-pace with the market. What they have (still have) is a game focused around re-painting textures as you drive around doing farm tasks. Take how water is handled as a plane for example. Dirt, the foundation of what you are dealing with plays very little role in the overall gameplay. My frustration comes in the “madden effect” in their release pattern, coupled with modders making this game what it is today. Very little innovation from GIANTS. At some point, with this much money to be had in this specific market, a large developer is going to poke into this market and force change.
@LoneWolfHeroGaming
@LoneWolfHeroGaming 2 месяца назад
Yeah, I think that the fact Giants stays pretty tight lipped about money is helping them. If they were to public, as a company, and have to show their earnings reports someone would probably take it up. No one really knows how much they have been making. And manufacturers haven't gotten smart yet, they could just hire modders to make their machines and equipment for Farming Simulator, for probably much less than they pay Giants, branded versions would only be available for PC, but so what if it's lizard with the correct colors.

@LoneWolfHeroGaming
@LoneWolfHeroGaming 2 месяца назад
Well, I think the biggest problem with FS22 year 2 is the product placement thing. They made the stuff they were paid to instead of focusing on gameplay and community requests, beyond we want more crops. My biggest complaint about Premium is that they gave no incentive in game to do it. It takes forever to harvest the crops and you don't make any more money than if you did standard crops that are faster. Bad gameplay, and since they don't have any sort of contracts to grow crops, or government subsidies for growing certain crops, if I was running a farm why would I buy equipment that costs more to grow crops that take longer to work, to sell for the same amount as easier crops? If they apologized they would be admitting fault... A last resort for any business. I think only way a statement could not admit fault is if they blamed DMI, which would then make them look bad to modders who they rely on.
@joelg8004
@joelg8004 2 месяца назад
@@LoneWolfHeroGaming the premium crops can be pretty profitable. But yes, not quite worth the time. Sugarcane takes less time. @LoneWolfHeroGaming

@joelg8004 i haven't messed with Premium too much. I was playing Red Dead Redemption 2 the other day, which is a Cowboy story game, but it has a very minor element of farming. But they do it so well. The animals look great and actually have realistic behavior. You can scare a cow and the whole herd will start running around and they can accidentally trample a small animal along the way. There is a part where you work on a ranch and you can milk a cow by hand and scoop up waste in a barn all very realistically. This just makes me wonder what a farming game can look like with this kind of expertise and commitment.

Some one to just give us what we've (the community) been asking for but have fallen on deaf ears with Giants. If it's all about the dollar, Giants might wake up if their profits start to slip due to a competitor stepping into the market and showing them they could be dethroned!
@StrayWard1

Giants is totally just riding the lazy money wave. More work equals less profits so they just simply refresh the graphics and rely on the modders to do the actual work. There's no real competition so no need to put in the extra effort to make it an actual simulator. Unfortunately they do just enough to rope us in every time they release a new version. I'm definitely waiting for FS25 to go on sale this time. There's no way I'm paying $80 again for their lack of innovation.

I got fs 22 for free from EPIC, but I had been watching 22 on RU-vid. The helpers are still buggy, and the glitches are even more numerous than in 19. The current engine and them having their own engine is good because it can do what they specifically need it to do. The PROBLEM here is that they refuse to improve the engine itself and rather just expand on existing concepts and mechanics that are already in the engine like adding more crops or brands. Which is why they do that is because its easier and they just want to make money. It sucks. Because they have no competition either.

Well, brands are all dependent on who pays what to get into the game. And with JD and others expecting a drop in Sales, at least in the US, the next year or two, they would probably have a harder time getting new stuff in any way. The 500 item limit makes no sense to me. And with crops, I think you are right on the money. I see your Giants Studio and I raise you Nintendo lol. To be fair being financially responsible is very good for the future of the franchise, plenty of games try to ramp up their budgets for one reason or another only to flop embarrassingly and either stress the company so much that they have to take steps backward or they completely fold and vanish. However if it is true (and I don't completely trust any of this information) that the game is actually paid for before launch due to the brands paying for spots in the game, they could certainly afford to expand the scope of the game a bit financially. However I think one of the biggest reasons they don't make all of our biggest and favorite mods into vanilla features right away is at least partially because of performance. The more different features you pile on and the more things the game has to keep track of the more things fall between the cracks and also it either kills performance for the game OR raises the minimum settings required to even play the game. I watched a few games come out earlier this year that I was interested in playing only for them to release and see the minimum specs on steam be a 30 series graphics card. While I understand those aren't even new cards these days if a 30 series card is the minimum that cuts out a huge portion of people that would probably like to play that game. I don't really care for a lot of developers these days that are more interested in making money than making good games but on the flip side I really don't care for developers that are so irresponsible with what they can realistically do that they shoot for the moon and end up frying their whole company and possibly a lot of game devs that are just trying to do their jobs in the process. So I guess what I'm trying to say, is at least Giants isn't costing anybody their jobs or sanity by trying to go too far, too fast.

After the video snippet you showed of the guy saying they want to stay "in control" of their engine a lot makes sense to me now. Maybe I am reading too much into it but I have worked on software projects before where the Boss has originally created said piece of software a long time ago (in my case the late 90s), and it can lead to some irrational decisions in the "reinventing the wheel" vs "using an existing dependency" category, mainly because the software is the Bosses "baby" so to speak. If that is the case for GIANTS engine, then the only way FS can really improve is when this person leaves or stops interfering. Maybe too much speculation I know but I have no other way of explaining how they keep praising basic engine features like Parallax Occlusion Mapping* in FS22 and Fog/God Rays in FS25** as major features of the new titles. *Invented in 2005, used in AAA Games like Crysis from 2007 onward, part of unreal engine 4 which was released in 2014 **Was around since at least the 00s, literally standard in even smaller games since circa 2014

Yeah, I have wondered the same point, that uhhhh thought process? is not exclusive to the programming world. I have seen it in many places with many people. I even know a marketing director that loved to talk about how much experience he had, that liked using a very basic outdated website and would mostly reuse marketing materials from the early 90's because 'they worked then.00' Honestly I don't know what engine would be best, and I know Unreal is becoming almost a standard, but there is havoc which is used with either snowrunner or mudrunner, I don't remember which, cryengine from crysis, which has amazing physics, Unity which from my understanding is better for 2D games not 3D so.... and I think I am forgetting something. I just don't understand the point that gets claimed a lot that no other engine would work, when it was built for a RPG not custom built for FS. It kind of seems like it may be an ego thing, like you are kind of suggesting, or it's that they don't want to shell out how much it would cost. They would have to start from scratch almost. In another comment someone said Giants originally wanted to be a Game Engine designer, not a game dev, which could also be leading to an ego issue if that's the case.

It is literally LAW in many places that the version on Xbox and Playstation must be the same and I sincerely doubt either of those devices would manage to survive the kind of load that even a reasonable PC layout of mods would place upon their little processors. Remember that the consoles are greased up 4 year old laptops when they released and they only age further and further. I have a 2014 i7-4930k with 16gb of ram and a 2013 Radeon 7950 that can handle more graphics and mods than the latest xbonk and paystation can even load into memory. The primary processing load issue with farming simulator is the data processing of the display of the crops on the ground from layers of 32bit texture files used as both textures AND data structures. The game's primary game loop would be interfered with heavily with the addition of needless physics and the game doesn't need the rule-of-cool shit that most idiots scream for online like spintires' dirt Giants and the game were actually held back for a long time by their distributor and what IT was charging them and what deals IT was making. I did actually meet Stef online with another guy in an IRC chat at Auran (Trainz, in which I was published for several releases in the boxed sets) and discussed some features that Auran had in their engine and discussed the limitations of Auran's physics and aimed them at using the texture files as data structures since a LOT of public free 32bit data manipulation and interpretation systems existed. One of the things they were looking for was literally a feature Auran created that could display clones of a rendered tree in multiple locations with near zero increase in process load. The world and graphics and engines have moved on since then. The problem with people wanting slack fill loads is they don't realize that the videos they watch _STILL_ are not real-time physics but interpretations of rules. Giants does actually have a spill feature that aggravates a lot of people with front loaders and bucket loaders. There's no point in modeling a trailer loaded with 17 billion wheatcorns but I could see modeling by divisions a load shift or imbalance in the load with a 5x5 cell system that could change where the weight point of the trailer is located and make a mishandled load more likely to tip or drag in turns. Even spintire's physics aren't realistic. When was the last time your stuck vehicle slid sideways down a mild slope because the wheels were spinning?

No, I really don't know that much about the mod complexity or the game programming complexity. So thank you so much for this comment! I can only put out thoughts and ideas based on my knowledge and experiences. If self distribution and publication are working better, I'm glad. Sales have sure gone up with FS22, but I will say it's correlation, not necessarily causation, because from what I have seen, they have increased with every new FS game. It also doesn't mean that another company couldn't have worked out better. There is no way to know. That's what usually sucks about decisions in life. I never played with the spintire mod because it didn't look that realistic to me, and I don't do much on PC with FS. Giants has done great overall. But that doesn't mean they can't do better. The physics feel off. Not just on balancing a load in a machine or spill physics, but being able to push objects with a stick or wood wedge that you can't otherwise move is odd. And I think that's essentially the same mechanism however it works on the back end that causes a lot to feel wrong. Logs that bounce around with very little movement, pushing a semi truck, with a trailer half filled by harvesting a log into the trailer, things like that. But the game still sells and outsells anyone else who has tried.

While many of your points are valid, I think that the lack of a true competitor says a lot about the quality of the product. There have been others like Agricultural Simulator and Cattle and Crops, that had better graphics and physics, but those don't necessarily make a good game. A prime example was Agricaultural Simulator - Historical Farming (iirc) that had terrain deformation and manual attach nodes on equipment. It was a nightmare to play though. As far as using another engine, why overhaul a system that is working. If using another engine is a viable option, why have so few tried, and none succeded?
@LoneWolfHeroGaming
@LoneWolfHeroGaming 2 месяца назад
Good points, part of the lack of competition is also just the size of the niche. Giants was quoting around 7m units sold in 2 years. Let's assume that translates to about 210mil in gross sales after taking discounts and such into account. 2023 game industry revenue is assumed to be around 184 billion. So if we say FS is 90% of the market of farm simulation games, that makes that about a total of 235mil or .012% of the entire game industry than half it because the salws are based on 2 years, and was based off 1 year. How many people want to chase that vs. shooters that earn billions, or the mobile market that was estimated to account for over 100 billion out of that 184 total. In fact pubg mobile, though dropping in recent years, in 2020 made almost 2.5 billion alone, that was an exceptionally good year for gaming, but even dropping below half of that in 23 1.12 billion for a mobile game vs 210-350mil over 2 years for a pc/console game, which game would you really strive to compete with? Yes, some will go for the smaller niche that has less competition, but if you expect to only be capable of gaining a 1% or less market share, the difference in market size can mean a lot. I think that's why so few have tried. There are a lot of reasons why failures have occurred. Or that companies have not found it to be profitable enough to make more than 1 attempt, it's probably similar to why Giants haven't put out more Demolition Company or Ski Region Simulator games. And now it's tough for a new competitor to gain a foothold in the market vs FS. if someone released a game that was identical to LS08/FS08 but had a UE5 base with amazing graphics, but only had 1 crop, 1 brand, etc, do you think they would sell 250k copies, or would they get review bombed because it's not FS25 with all the same features. I don't think they'd have a chance.

I'm going to be honest. This video seems to be a lot of poor research and ragebait (apart from the console mod problem). Graphics and deformation shouldn't be the priority, especially in Farming Simulator. You crave more realism, but in your gameplay, you don't use realism mods like manual attach. Unity was launched in 2005, but only for Mac, which was only 3% of the marketshare at the time. Game Engines gets recycled all the time. You could create a much more constructive and well researched video. There's a lot of problems with Giants and FS, like yearly passes that don't give all of the DLC's or legacy bugs that devs refuse to fix.
@LoneWolfHeroGaming
@LoneWolfHeroGaming 2 месяца назад
Thanks for your opinion. I was trying to highlight the most prominent complaints I have seen and try to determine why they haven't been addressed. DLC being left out of yearly passes has honestly been around forever. There have been plenty of games that wither launch dlc between passes or like giants define what is and isn't included. What I also found about the DLC that isn't included is that most of them are linked to modders that they gave the chance to have a paid MOD made as a DLC. I would love to use manual attach and a large number of other pc mods.... But I prefer to play on Xbox. That might change with 25 since they are upcharging for console, but I have been unwilling to purchase DLC on both platforms largely because I'm cheap and can't justify buying it on both in my mind. I wanted to mention Unity because it was a direct contradiction about having to custom build an engine for FS, which they didn't really seem to do since it was recycled. And if that's the case, why can't it be run in another non custom built engine? In an early draft of my script, I actually included that engines get recycled, but I took the comment and explanation out to try and trim down what was too long of a video. So I apologize if that was unclear. And as for it only being on Mac, and their market share, when I was in HS in the 2000's I had plenty of friends taking graphic design classes, they were all taught to only use Mac for graphic design. My rather poor public school managed to have a computer lab full of expensive Macs just for that purpose. As for bugs, I very rarely see any if I play, and often, if I do, it's on a mod. This may be because I am on console, I know I have seen reports of there being more issues on PC, but if I'm not seeing or replicating it, then I think we get back to the original problem you mentioned about that being ragebait.
@VRSVic
@VRSVic 2 месяца назад
@LoneWolfHeroGaming Thank you for addressing. I don't think I expressed right. But my biggest problem in the video is that you noted many problems but fails to address the various nuances and didn't bring many solutions. That's why I thought it was ragebait. They have more than 10 years with the Giants Engine now, will be difficult for devs and modders to migrate to a totally new environment. For me, I think Giants should stick to their engine, fixing and updating from the inside. I know the game has Simulation in the name, but I don't know that total realism should be the aim. For me, they should prioritize an enjoyable gameplay first and provide the tools for modders to do the hardcore simulation. Remember that development costs isn't all the costs. Marketing is a big chunk too, sometimes even more. I know that Giants could add more than 500 equipments and yes this is partially so that brands pays more. But if they don't have a limit people will always expect more for the next game. I think keep 500 new machines and backport old ones with mods is the best bet.

Ok, you would know that better than i would. I honestly didn't consider that because of the graphics level in FS22 vs. other games. I would imagine it's a game stability issue then. I know Sony especially worries about the image of games crashing on console. Do you know if it's the graphics processing, or do you mean detail in terms of multiple moving parts/physics. The FS25 gameplay videos show off highly detailed models with a lot of intricate parts. Maybe dropping last gen consoles will help that issue?

Definatly think the paid DLC released by Giants doesn't hold up against the free mods available. Do I think Giants is bad and ripping players off? No, could they release better content, Yes. do I agree how they sell their bundles? No, I've had some trouble not being able to get the right content on Steam after buying the wrong version and had to buy it directly from Giants as Steam purchases of FS22 are now blocked. But I still love the game and have a blast playing. It's a comapny, making money is their business, but do we really need a new game each 2 years? Or just better content and game improvements? Sims 4 and ETS2 / ATS have been around for quite sometime and just expanding and improving (mostly). I've only played the game for about six months now and I'm not ready yet to abondon FS22 for a new version, I think the game still holds up, it could be a lot better, but that would also mean a higher end graphics card. So I'm pretty happy with everything the current game already offers,

Would be fair to compare FS series to ETS 2, which also, successful, but lacking in many aspects compared to modern big studio works. But then again, would you rather have Ubisoft or EA developing this game? I doubt, as those big fat companies will dump the product the first quarter it wouldn't sell enough.
@LoneWolfHeroGaming
@LoneWolfHeroGaming 2 месяца назад
The comparison to ATS/ETS 2 is a tough one, I don't disagree, but it's a different strategy, and I think I understand their strategy. They built a game that is a decent simulator, then released maps for money as they can create them. The sheer size of the maps makes sense to me why it would take so long to make them if they focused on creating new game elements instead of maps people would probably leave, because there would only be a small selection of maps/routes and they would eventually get bored. It's almost the opposite of the FS strategy, but FS also releases new games instead of only content releases, and if you added up all paid content from FS17-FS22 I bet it would be similar in price to ATS or ETS 2 buying everything. And no, a big AAA studio taking over is probably my biggest fear, but that's why I think they need to improve more now then going slow. If FS sales climb enough to get the attention of a AAA studio, they will make their own. And if the FS brand loyalty isn't strong enough, they won't survive the competition, and we will end up with a AAA farming game that doesn't have the same community support and has toxic monetization policies.

Just out of interest have you ever used Giants engine to make mods? Have you ever used Unreal Engine? There's a major reason Giants stick with their own engine - its relatively easy to use and people can relatively easily make maps or other mods with it. The learning curve with Unreal engine is steep to say the very least. If you want lots of nice maps made for FS their engine is easy and intuitive enough that you don't need a ton of experience in game development to use it. So yeah FS would look amazing with Unreal engine but it would be closed to a lot of people. Its a mute point anyway since Giants have said many, many times that Unreal Engine is fundamentally unsuited to the sort of game FS is. Now we've seen it in action FS25 looks pretty decent anyway. Its not a AAA game and people shouldn't expect it to be a AAA game. Its impressive enough for what it is.

The video title is incorrect, expressing your opinions does not constitute "truth". Oversimplifying the structure of a business does not mean you know all of the in's and out's of how it operates, you cannot possibly understand how a particular business operates if you've had no involvement with said business. And you can criticize their strategy of releasing a new version every 2 years and compare their game engine with other game engines, but the "truth" (as your title suggests) is that Giants is doing very well, they cater to a certain audience, and what they are doing is working well for them. A 3.7/5 rating on Xbox is very good if you consider how toxic the review culture is on that platform. The Steam review numbers are much more accurate for their games.

Secondly, companies, all are in competition but, in this particular genre of gaming, let's face it, there really isn't much competition against Giants. Now, as for console player issues... that's just the problem with consoles period, either upgrade or "suck it up" and deal with your limitations. If you look at the video trailer, many textures have improved and yes, I'm looking forward to seeing what FS25 will bring to the table. But, there's something not being touched on but only the was mentioned by your video short clips... brands. Giants as with any other company has to abide by what the other "brand" companies want and expect. Believe it or not but, both sides of this coin pays each other now, rather which one makes more profit, that's usually the game developer. However, @georgemeyer850 has hit the nail on the head per say.
