This video will recap what happened in Chapter 2 of the main story in the game of Honkai Impact 3rd. While it can seem rather short and straight forward, there are several things that we need to keep in mind and understand as we go forward in the lore of the Honkai Impact 3rd. Whether you are brand new to the series, or a veteran that wants a refresher on the story, our Honkai Impact 3rd Rewind series will recap and summarize everything what occurs in the game.
This story is essentially the beginning of the first arc in the entire series that follows our main protagonist Kiana Kaslana. More story will unfold, recapped, and explained as we progress further into our Honkai Impact 3rd Rewind Series!

Weird that the tactic use to make Kiana join 2nd Hersherr is gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss. If she said sth nice like "join me and we'll find your father together", i believe thing will become much different.

This is what I need cause sometimes I don't fully understand the chapters 100%. I love this game but I have a hard time paying attention for long periods of time. I love the lore of Genshin and Star Rail and I play them in Eng Dub, and find myself wanting to play HI3d in English to help me not focus so much on reading but being immersed within the story. I love the Jp dub and Cn dub but its like I said, sometimes I just have a hard time paying attention and it's the CG that helps me understand where I am. BUT THIS - Oh this will truly help me catch up. I appreciate this a lot. Thanks so much man.

Again here I come with some pre-Reburn knowledge: before Chapters 1 and 2 were reworked in Reburn, all the lore that should've pertained to Chapter 2, including Herrscher of Void's interactions, but also general Honkai lessons, has been dumped on Kiana by a "narrator". Narrator never introduced themselves, and Kiana never assumed anything about the "narrator's" identity, because there was too much to assume for a Herrscher of the Void: lines of Theresa, Fu Hua, and Rita, who weren't in the game at the time, all belonged to the "narrator" as well. Reburn's rework of the first 2 Chapters was more than welcome in untangling the mess, putting all the actors where they should've been, and making the story generally better. But at the same time, it taught (at least, to me) a very profound lesson: if the story has in unidentified "narrator" and you accurately take it out of the story by replacing them with actual actors - the story will get better. This led me to deny some other narration choices made near the end (looking at you, Ai Hyperion Lambda...).

Or you do what 39 did: the narrator is a character but it's not revealed until halfway through in a surprisingly good twist in an otherwise mediocre arc.

Full HoV model was kinda recent iirc, it was during a second overhaul a year ago that removed all the filler stages, lessened the amount of main story stages for the first 3 chapters, and did a visual overhaul for the first 2 stages

yeah no..... i always have a hard time to comprehend the story being told in each chapter and my attention span is short and I'd prefer if i can understand the dub fully.. But yeah, I'm at chapter 14 or smth but stopped for almost a year and now i dont know whats happening anymore q0q. Like how kiana turned the way she did or why everyone is gonna hunt her down. Like there are beautiful animated moments, that represents to he climax of the story, but i didn't felt anything bc i didn't understand anything. Which is a bummer sincw i really want to enjox the story

u have to play the game, cuz the lore here is just the not completely comparable to the game lore. and you have to read the manga of this game. if your past chapter 9 edit: are you playing the game now???

I think he means the latter, like avoiding spoilers which may connect to things that happen in the future and saving those explanations for later, when they do happen

It's mainly because I want people to experience the game's story, not just in terms of informational refresher, but in such a way where the story telling is also reflected in this series. I wish to retell the story of the game as it was originally presented, and showcase the foreshadowing information as things reveal themselves in these recap videos.
