Some folks approached her to carry narcotics, and she agreed in her inexperience, and she was caught. Just like you see her now, she made no fuss about her arrest. She took her punishment with equanimity, unlike some people that would be making some noise about their innocence. It was even the judge that God used to free her. She had apparently has not met anyone as contrite as this lady, so the judge sitting over the case became her advocate. On the last appearance before the final judgement, the judge complained that the woman has appeared before her in the same ragged clothing everytime, and she ordered that they must find something else for her to wear on the next appearance which was to be the judgement day. And on the judgement day, the judge sentenced her to the time that she had already been in detention, which was more than a year at that point and a fine, which was quickly paid. That was one of the happiest days of my life. I have not met this woman before, but I have loved her acting and how she comports herself. May God continue to strengthen her and keep her and her family in good health, as well as well as us commenters.
That's how it was in the past. Theatre was a very hard work for the pioneers. If you followed the story, She had that child with her from 2 month old until the child passed at 1 year old, while she was still on work-trip. If she did not leave with the troupe that time, it meant she would have had no work for a year, while her troupe was travelling in Nigeria.
