Such a sweet girl who has a great head on her shoulders! As someone who is an eating disorder therapist, this seems like such a hard place to be in regards to body image. I’m not so sure this is a healthy environment for someone to be in. Jeanine, I thought you had some great comments about your faith and tying this into body image!!

So true I can’t believe how many hip injuries they all have .. it shocked me as someone hard core into lifting & rehab for hips , strength & conditioning coach myself .. she was such a sweetheart ! I wonder if they have a lifting routine and prehab & rehab workouts .. they seem to have little time for anything but practice ! The team needs to take care of these women !

Dating is like finding a best friend in a way because when/if you two marry, you become one. So make sure that person (who loves the Lord) can be that person you enjoy being around in a long DMV line waiting for your drivers license together and yet not mind because your waiting together in a long line in order to change your last name.

Hi Jeanine! I love your channel! I have a question regarding your personal convictions with modesty. I’ve seen that you wear bikinis, that, in my opinion, show the same amount of skin as a bra and underwear, and I would love to know your standpoint on that and why you’ve chosen that type of swimwear as opposed to more modest options? I would love if you incorporated this into a future podcast episode! No hate, genuinely curious and wanting to learn viewpoints of other Christians!❤️

@@KyraBowlbyI think shes means a 1 piece. I personally chose to switch over from a bikini to a 1 piece (some are very cute and flatter still) not just a basic one piece swimmers suit they make more fashionable ones now, for me I am heavily tattooed on the trunk of my body. Down both my sides, across my back, across my hips and pelvis. I chose 1 piece because it’s hardly noticeable I have so much tattoos. I love my tattoos but for some reason after coming to my faith just felt like covering more in a bathing suit and my tattoos is what I felt I needed to do! ❤

I watched the show on Netflix. What i think about it: These girls.. this is exploitation. Getting minimum wage, need to look like this and that, it's never good enough. I think it's not a healthy environment at all. Also, girls in their 20's need hip surgery because of the jump split. Also, the costume, i don't think it's very respectful. These girls deserve better to be honest.

Yup sadly women will do almost anything for male attention; even stand in a skimpy cheerleading uniform for men to stare at them. Then they bitch about how they’re not paid enough; like stop enabling the dirty job then lol. As long as someone is gonna stand up there in that uniform, then they’re gonna pay them like shit lol. It’s really sad because once they’re late 20s their “career” is over and they move on to the next 20 something.

We're serously talking about NFL cheerleading. we know the culture surrounding it, so why are we platforming this as a holy journey when it's an obviously immodest trade. Honestly, Christianity in the West has lost all standards.

@alyssamascardo3315
@alyssamascardo3315 Месяц назад
@fleabaguette From someone with a similar background, after some time on a team, you come to a point in your career where you’re satisfied with what you’ve accomplished. You want to leave while in a good place instead of being told your career is done. Plus, you sacrifice a lot of normal things in order to be on the team - you hold off on career advancement, relationships/marriage, traveling.

As I'm from a country where we have few religious people and mostly people aren't religious, maybe I ask stupid questions. 😅 I just watched the Netflix doc about the DC cheerleaders and they are talking in there a lot about god. Is it compulsory that if you are a DCC you have to be religious? Or what happens if you are not religious, do they not then accept you to the team? Are there many people in Texas who are religious and they are brought up with that from an early age? 🙂
@fleabaguette
@fleabaguette Месяц назад
Texas is a very conservative state, both politically and holistically, and as many of us know.. churches are known to push conservative values and conservative politics.
@fleabaguette
@fleabaguette Месяц назад
It's not required to be Christian or religious per se to get into DCC but Kelli and Judy probably consider that when screening before auditions.

Around 19:00 when they talk about modesty...I do believe its something that needs to be taught. Frankly these are not legit reasosn to be wearing provocative outfits. Now, I am not judging anyones heart, no one can but God , however I can judge the logic. The Church and bible DOES have standards for modesty. Girls that start dance young are desensitized to the overexposed clothing and OFTEN little dancers are wearing provocative clothing SO ITS SOOOOOO SAD. Idk who these parents are and the music they perform to is SOOO inappropriate.....The DCC which used to be more shorts but are now more like underwear should go BACK to being shorts /the bottoms DO ride up at times and i feel so bad for them cause anyone can just stare 😟 if DCC wants to continue to do chairty work and moreso work with kids.....they used to do charity work sometimes in their dance uniform 😵‍💫 ( instead of the blue sweats ) which was SO uncomfortable to watch. Knowing how many predators are out there , these girls are put in sketchy situations. And siging a swimsuit calendar for creepy men at the gym?? ⚠️⚠️🚫So what they can "use " it to do stuff..🤢 im so tired of modesty always being last. The girls dont understand the silent ways they are abused and gawked at in mens kinds and women too. Just cause you cant always see it or CHOOSE TO ignore it doesnt mean it isnt there. Frankly, its extra annoying their are so many christian women on the team because it makes Christians look SOOO lukewarm.... Christians should NEVER be dancing the way they dance for a crowd...and im not even talking about thunderstruck....ive seen MULTIPLE of the sideline dances and some are VERY provocative, again its so sad.... i know i sound like im hating but really im angry for them that they dont understand how much this ISNT what God wants objectively....im sure it was the best dance opportunity for some and the girls really grew closer to God but they also aren't challenging each other on the team when it comes to modesty and integrity....my heart would break if my daughter ever wanted to do this....and teaching the children CHILDREN in these outfits and they watch them and later do dance camps i think? Thats like gr**ming them to be on the team .... at the end of the day, its still dancing to s*xy music at times and for the most part dancing provocativly ...sorry but this is not the peak example of laying down our life for Christ and is not sadly a good example to young girls or boys. I would never want to expose my young or grown son to this at a game. It is a temptation. Women dont get it. For men its harder thats why a lot of them are addicted to p*rn...a lot are trying but it makes it so much harder that even CHRISTIANS cant set a good modest example. In all of this, i know the womens hearts themselves are in the right place,but if Christians are now going to talk about DCC as if its a good example and nothing needs to change, then we need to speak truth. Why is everyone so desensitized??????????????????? Even if their ourfits were more covered, they dance provocatively to the crowd and its SO hard to watch. Thats why they need so much security. And no one wants to talk badly about the pay. WHO WILL? Sorry, but that is not being a strong women who knows her mind. They want to be part of something more than they want respect for the work they do and they work SO HARD. How much do they get paid for the bikini calendar???? How can these Christian women also wear the s*xy Santa outfit 🚫🚫🎅 that makes me furious.......He is a real life Saint. Show some respect. Churches and parents are NOT teaching respect. We cant even respect our own religion/ faith. .....This organization needs to change if it wants a Christian image. I will not accept that this is how a Christian should dress or how they should dance. People are in denial.

@surfertsunami9355 just thought by now we would be past the notion of judging a person's character based on what they are wearing, and the overall idea that bodies are sinful. Annnnd the hyperfocus on women specifically when it comes to these. Silly me.
@jimbo4187
@jimbo4187 2 месяца назад
I mean now is the least modest time in the world’s history lol so why wouldn’t people talk about it? Women continue to show more, and then cry about it when guys stare. The fact that skimpy cheerleading outfits are promoted is the epitome of the current modesty problem. Men and women dressed modestly in the past to show respect for one another. Now you have women in booty shorts and men just walking around everywhere in tank tops or shirtless lol that’s not good.
