TOX is still going All City i've noticed in 2018/19 street bombin with 10 FOOT......Always makes my travels in the company work van alot more interesting. Its like the Graff version of eye spy. Lol
I'm pretty sure he ended up getting arrested a bunch more times after this point for graffiti and also more recently for selling balloons at festivals. Fuckin Legend
the stupid aff buffers "he is making life very hard for us" youd be an unemployed homeless immigrant without that job but you repeat what master says like a good bwoyy kmt!
BTP arguably created their own monster in TOX. The buff created writers who were more concerned with getting up than anything else. TOX looked as if he'd never sketched a piece in his life, but he did to the networks what CHUCK and SMOKE and a young TEACH did to the BR lines around Junction and what SCRIBLA and REGRET did to the Old Kent road area in the early 90s. You'd need a team to hit London like that these days. Most people cannot comprehend the level of dedication that takes. A proper vandal and a bonafide king.
i legit cant even get out my house without being cctvd its a joke here now even countryside has cameras on every corner even down side streets and in housing only areas and its certainly not for catching crime because a lot of these areas are so so quiet theyv barely even got a need for police in the area at all when something does happen they dno what to do lol its pure surveillance and ensuring ppl stay indoors after 10pm.. Tbh i think we r most of the way there to living out a full on v for vendetta scenario 2021 or whenever it was showed that.. Stay Free Stay Up
bruh mr aff 'oh he make our life so hard ' dumb immigrant wud rather b unemployed would he the ignorance is unbelievable tbh just like a human puppet spouting the propagandas of its master!
@@jellybeanz1989 Jobs can still be created for other roles on the Underground, not just tackling grafitti. If it stopped tomorrow then those people would be moved to other tasks. Come on, you don't think that cleaning equipment is cheap?
as an ex writer 'tox' made my journey around london a hell of alot more interesting over more than 10 yrs.he battered london along with other writers like cut, vamp, fume, zerx & more recently chewz & her....pretty pieces are not always the best.true graf is & was always about 'getting up!!!' ive seen 'toxic' as far as grantham & bristol in recent times.....respect to all writers.....GO TEAM ROBBO ;)
@@traingraff 2023 and we still see him up along with the elusive 10 Foot. Whether it is actually 'Tox' or maybe they are just keeping his name alive out of respect as with 'Faum' and 'Fume' etc. I'd love to think it is still the original 'Tox' but who knows? It remains a mystery which is a part of the beauty of it tbh. Even though his tag and dubs were basic and simplistic he was pretty prolific and up ALOT!!!! He stayed true to the absolute grass roots of graffiti where 'getting up in as many places as possible' was the name of the game before it progressed and evolved into today's modern awesome and often beautiful art form. 'Bombin' will FOREVER be the real essence of it all taking the risks, the thrill and the dangers. 'Legal' Graffiti as much as it nice to look at will never be what it truely was all about. Painting something in a location where your not permitted to be there or deface it and getting away with it and then for it to be spotted by peers and then repeat the process over and over again more than the next writer and bigger, bolder and better standing out from the rest 😉👌
Here I am, just searched "tox 03" when I remembered seeing many of his tags during my first 3 weeks working holiday starting Des 2003 in London from South Africa. How random is that...
i used to work for an undisclosed council-multi story car parks/street cleaning etc....i was also into graf/hiphop culture since about 87-88 & i occasionally bombed trains, tracksides, underpasses, abandoned warehouses.it lead to youth projects/workin with kids & i made lots of good mates from it.i now do social care with disabled/learning difficulties kids/adults.....graf was a massive influence for me & still is now....
Thats just how it goes. Writers only go all out for like 10 years maximum. Think of people like 10 foot, CUT, Save, Oker... These guys smash it for a few years until they get fucked by the law or they hit like 28/29. They eventually stop. As much as i love graff, as any writer would tell you, family, job etc. ends up taking priority. Any writer would tell you this lol (well most). Anyway, its always nice to see a Tox Tag, I still see some TOX03s to this day. True writer and proper tunnel rat. Ive seen TOX reaches in the craziest of places lol.
on his peak, early 2000s, when i visited London, i thought TOX was a crew of many members, i couldnt believe just one writter could achieve that level of damage, he must be a very sick guy,, real bomber, never seen that level of dedication...i ask myself, for you who lives nowadays in London, is he still getting up? after him also DDS members Fume, Take etc...were very impressive as well but for me, TOX got the crown.
He's got tags up around Newcastle aswell. Pretty certain on the Newcastle to Durham stretch of br line there's TOX tags. Personally I'm of the opinion that it's quality not quantity but obviously he and others think different. I'm not a writer though so what do I know.
I found it hilarious that Ben Eine was called to court as an ‘expert witness’. “His statement is Tox, Tox, Tox, Tox, over and over again," said Eine after the trial at Blackfriars crown court, in which he gave evidence as an expert witness. In his opinion, the Tox "tags" or signatures, and "dubs" (the larger, often bubble lettering) were "incredibly basic" and lacking "skill, flair or unique style". Funny he should say that after he was arrested himself multiple times for daubing ‘Eine’ all over the place in his youth. At the end of the day paint on a public wall is paint on a public wall, whether it has artistic merit or not. The fact that anything relating to Banksy gets left alone and protected with Perspex, whilst other types of Graffiti gets cleaned off is utterly ridiculous. The hypocrisy of it stinks
"lacking skill flair or unique" coming from the man who's spent the last decade injecting heroin doing the same shitty stencils from the same 4 fonts LMAO
Agreed. Eines throw up was legendary, it was well up at one point and was no different than TOX's tag to the average commuter, tourist or copper. He's an absolute hypocrite, probably bitter because even though EINE was one of the eras Dons, TOX kinged it different. When it was proper on top aswell.
its not hypocritical. graffiti that says something, achieves something to everyone, like banksys works stays because it looks pretty, or it says something to people, it speaks to them. bombing tags doesnt say anything, it just shows other graffiti artists that you exist. nobody else cares, you're not adding anything nice to the area.
i remembered seeing clesr as day...a 'TOX 05' tag on tv news reports/newspapers on the window of one of those bombed tube carridges in 2007....must have been one of very few windows left in tact after the devestating explosion
the dedication, commitment, passion & skill in both legit & illegal graffiti, not to mention sometimes danger/risk with the latter that ive seen can't really be considered to be 'mindless' @ all! It often goes beyond whats actually painted on to surface be it wall or rolling stock....the art or vandalism debate will rage on forever though i think....i prefer it when a few of those rules are broken though....makes those train journeys & concrete urban landscapes a hell of alot more interesting...
fire extinguishers have been used to leave massive messy hits along with sharp edged objects like dart sharpeners, track stones etc for etching, glue & paint stripper/acid in order to leave 'your mark'....or even 'reverse graffiti' which involves writing ya name or drawing using dusty dirty surfaces....it might not always be pretty but its still 'getting up'....it can't be stopped!!!
@nathanderun hey , how do u guys keep the caps clean forevr ? And do u guys use fat caps((astro and pink dot)) to fill in and universal to outline a throw up ? and do u recommend me using fat caps(astro and pink dot) to tag or universal / any other caps to tag ?
One of the most expensive underground services in the world and this is what were paying for? I think that its amazing how anybody can do anything if they try hard enough, you cant stop this.
@@TemporaryOofed the fuck you talking about I said I miss it. I obviously don't do it anymore. Plus I have a high paying job. Got more important things to invest in rather than a bus.
@nathanderun thanks man , btw u mind me askin this ? I know i'm toy as fuk man , but look , shud i use a german outline no.2 / no.4 or a universal for a outline ? and i use astro fat and pink dots for fillins , is tht ok actually ?

Tox01 - Tox09 reign supreme all the way from Leicester to London. if you go on the train from Leicester to London St Pancras, you'll see his tag every few minutes. thats one long walk!!! :D mad props to Tox! effort and commitment.
