Greece and Turkey both broke the guarantor treaty because they both tried to annex Cypriot land. The guarantor treaty was about guaranteeing Cyprus's independence which both Turkey and Greece broke. The Greek Cypriots did not want to kill the Turk Cypriots, that's Turkish propaganda. That was EOKA B fighting against TMT, TMT wanted to give 50% of Cyprus to the Turks when the Turk Cypriots were like 10% of the population in those times. The killings were between EOKA B and TMT. 96% of the population voted for Makarios who was against EOKA B so almost all Greek Cypriots were against any killings. EOKA B was also killing Greek Cypriots too and tried to help Greece to annex Cyprus. But 20% of the Turk Cypriots were members of TMT so the 10% minority wanted to take 50% of the whole country. The Greek Cypriots stopped wanting unification with Greece in 1967 when Greece became a dictatorship but the Turkish invasion happened in 1974. The Cypriot government said no to American bases and had relationships with other communist governments which made the USA paranoid that Cyprus would fall to Soviet communist hands. So because Cyprus refused American bases then the USA in 1964 made plans for the invasion of 1974. The Turkish invasion was the USA'S and UK'S plan for NATO to stay in Cyprus and also for the UK to keep occupying Cypriot land forever. Do not forget that when Greek Cypriots in 1955-1959 were fighting against the British occupiers the Turk Cypriots (by the help of Turkey and Britain) fought against the Greek Cypriots that were fighting for freedom from the British colonizers and to unite with Greece since the majority of the population of Cyprus wanted it because they respected democracy unlike the Turk Cypriots that didn't (keep in mind that 96%+ of the Greek Cypriots didn't want to unite with Greece anymore after 1967 when Greece was under a dictatorship). Basically the Turk Cypriots were fighting for the British to keep occupying Cyprus, they assisted the colonizers. Turkey did propaganda that Greece would kill or expel them all but that was a lie and the reality is that the Turkish minority in Greece only increased after the population exchange of 1923 but the hundreds of thousands of Greeks in Turkey and Egypt were forced to leave and today only a few thousand Greeks are remain there.

Did you know Turkey did not ratify UNCLOS ? So they don’t recognise anything and they don’t want to go to an international court . So I think it is best to just include them and give them a bit of the cake because they will take it either way and Greece would never accept as well a 2 km coast right. I meant the straits but this article was removed by the treaty of montreux. The straits were autonomus so they can be protected. And so were the Aegean Islands except the Dodecanese. Which basically means that Greece has the right to militarise those islands. About dodecanese now, we protect them because Turkey is a hostile country and u can see that everyday by its announcements and the violation of our airspace by their aircraft

The Cypriots who are Greek, aren't Greeks from the mainland of Greece. They're indigenous Cypriots who were conquered and hellenized. Ever notice how the Greeks in Cyprus look like Syrian migrants compared to Greeks from Greece who look European?

Turkey was supposed to intervene to stop the illegal annexation to protect the Cypriot government for all Cypriots but Turkey invaded instead and occupies 39% of the Cyprus since 1974. Greece and Turkey both broke the guarantor treaty because they both tried to annex Cypriot land. The guarantor treaty was about guaranteeing Cyprus's independence which both Turkey and Greece broke. The Greek Cypriots did not want to kill the Turk Cypriots, that's Turkish propaganda. The killings were between EOKA B and TMT. 96% of the population voted for Makarios who was against EOKA B so almost all Greek Cypriots were against any killings. EOKA B was also killing Greek Cypriots too and tried to help Greece to annex Cyprus. But 20% of the Turk Cypriots were members of TMT so the 10% minority wanted to take 50% of the whole country. The Greek Cypriots stopped wanting unification with Greece in 1967 when Greece became a dictatorship but the Turkish invasion happened in 1974. The Cypriot government said no to American bases and had relationships with other communist governments which made the USA paranoid that Cyprus would fall to Soviet communist hands. So because Cyprus refused American bases then the USA in 1964 made plans for the invasion of 1974. The Turkish invasion was the USA'S and UK'S plan for NATO to stay in Cyprus and also for the UK to keep occupying Cypriot land forever. Do not forget that when Greek Cypriots in 1955-1959 were fighting against the British occupiers the Turk Cypriots (by the help of Turkey and Britain) fought against the Greek Cypriots that were fighting for freedom from the British colonizers and to unite with Greece since the majority of the population of Cyprus wanted it because they respected democracy unlike the Turk Cypriots that didn't (keep in mind that 96%+ of the Greek Cypriots didn't want to unite with Greece anymore after 1967 when Greece was under a dictatorship). Basically the Turk Cypriots were fighting for the British to keep occupying Cyprus, they assisted the colonizers. Turkey did propaganda that Greece would kill or expel them all but that was a lie and the reality is that the Turkish minority in Greece only increased after the population exchange of 1923 but the hundreds of thousands of Greeks in Turkey and Egypt were forced to leave and today only a few thousand Greeks are remain there.

So umm, in which article of that treaty does it say in that islands have a continental shelf of their own? Because, you know, islands are islands. They are not directly linked with a continent. Right? Also, can a piece of land without any economic activity on it because it's way too small have an exclusive economic zone of it's own? I mean, a zone of a non-existent economic activity does not sound right ... Because as far as i can remember according to the very same treaty you are talking about, islands are not a part of a continent therefore cannot have their own continental shelf. Also, if an island is so small that it cannot possibly even have an economic activity going on that island cannot have it's own exclusive economic zone. Also, a country cannot tax a sea route between two continental countries that has a coastal line facing each other just because they have an island in between. You can look up the French-British maritime court case results over the channel islands. There are many more examples of the same situation between many other countries. Please research them. Before i forget, again, according to the international sea laws treaty that you are talking about also, a country's exclusive economic zone is calculated according to how much CONTINENTAL coastline it has over a body of water whether it may be a sea or an ocean or a big lake. Turkey has the biggest coastline on the whitesea ... Please be objective and not prejudiced towards one side or the other.
