Just found this. Brilliant. I've been a fan from the beginning, and I've seen them more times than I can count. Met them once outside a pub just along from the Wedge, in Portsmouth. We'd just picked up our tickets from the box office. I really wish that they'd do an acoustic tour at small venues. Just the once would do, for a bit of a change...
@@R4rZTCyuBXA ...sadly I'm not sure I want to see them again since the lineup change. My wife is equally unsure. I'll have a search for venues, though, and mull it over. Thanks for the reply!
@@hookedonlurefishing - Well, I saw the acoustic dates, but sadly couldn't make any of them work with clashes with other stuff already booked. I did see them fairly recently at the 1865 in Southampton, though. Phil on great form, and back to their original style I think, just without Saunders. No sign of any of the female vocalists or tracks from that period in the set list, just classic after classic. One nutcase got thrown out for running up on stage as the band took a break before the last few songs. He shouted into the mic for the band to play a track (can't recall which one now) and Phil came back on stage a bit bewildered, as they'd already played it. I think the guy got back in to the venue for the "encore" too, after Phil intervened.
