The TV repairman is Barney Philips, who played the diner cook with the third eye in his forehead, in the Twilight Zone episode "Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?"
He buys things for functions of the highest quality and smashes ,beats down and throws things. Then insults the only one willing to repair his violence on machines and gets called a larcenist ! Good to know his dedicating a whole chapter on his abuse of both. A regular divinci 🧐🙄💪👁️🗣️. Who anyone rather go on a real date with. Not the absolute boorish man
I remember as a kid, pulling suspect tubes out of the back of our TV, walking a bag of tubes down to the local 5 & Dime, and one-at-a-time hunting for the right socket on their tester to check each tube. Such a feeling of accomplishment to return home and repair our TV!
This is the type of person that: Waiters spit in his food. His luggage goes to Chicago while he is going to Los Angeles. The airline ticket counter agent assigns him a seat next to a screaming baby in need of a diaper change. His car is never repaired correctly. Girls take him for money. Never gets invited to parties. When in need of help, there is no one to be found....
No. You're confusing Barnes Phillips for Ross Martin. Interestingly they played together in the same episode of Columbo. Ross Martin was the murderer and Barney Phillips was Columbo's boss.
Richard Haydn played gay AND straight roles...in a Dick van Dyke as old radio comedian, and in "Sitting Pretty" 40s comedy film with Clifton Webb in his first of 3 Mr. Belvedere roles AND Maureen O'Hara, married to Father who Knew Best, plus Ed Begley senior...was the funny butler in "And Then There were None", a friend type in "Please Don't Eat the Daisies" film...a fine talent.
You never go wrong with the always awesome Ross Martin as a supporting character! Loved him on Wild Wild West and "Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?" episode of TZ
Poor Mr Finchley. He has a real problems machines of any type. Hate him for whatever reason !? Maybe Finchley was born. 100 years to late maybe if he was in the 1860"s instead of the 1960*s he would have had a easier time! I do remember. Mr Hayden in the sound of music playing the somewhat the manager. For the Von Trapp family. Affairs
This was made in the 60's yet the video quality is very sharp. There are other shows from the 60's that look out of focus and have terrible video quality. Is there some kind of filter or software program that can clean up older TV shows?
What a bizarre-looking video... has it been modified in some way? It just doesn't look like the film of an original Twilight Zone episode. (These days I suspect AI to be behind all video that looks weird or otherwise "updated" and creepy. ) I thought I had seen them all... Now I need to go and check out the original... minus the enhancements.
Taped off a tv with poor quality audio as a result of it playing through the tv speaker into the room. Pretty cheesy thing to do. Or lazy. It’s easy enough to just upload directly into a computer.
