Fun Fact: according to the book The Bounty Hunters guide, Kolto is actually more efficient at curing burns than Bacta. That would be a reason to keep both on hand.

And now is a dwindling material. The empire destroyed the settlement in Manaan after they leech as much as they could, and the selkath just couldn't bother anymore with the other galactic species, so they did not reconstruct and retired to under the sea once more

One thing you forgot to mention is at some point, thyferra, the Planet you mentioned near the end of the video, became sympathetic to the rebellion and started producing tanks of bacta for the alliance. When the Empire found out about this, a huge invasion of Thyferra was led by Moff Serdon. Thankfully, due to the efforts of Rouge Squadon, this invasion would be repelled and the alliance's supply of bacta is safe. This all happens in the game, Star Wars Rouge Squadron for the Nintendo 64, specifically in the 15th Mission, Moff Serdon's Revenge.

Not gonna lie. Destroying the Kolto's fuel supply and being permanently banned from Manaan was pretty satisfying. Both the insane neutral philosophy of the Selkat and how boring living in their planet seemed made me CRAZY

I don't really see how staying neutral was in any way insane, holding the threat of destroying the Kolto over both the Empire and the Republics heads made them one of the biggest power players the galaxy had ever seen, no one wanted to piss off the Selkath because if they were ever forced to choose a side it would end in a massive advantage for whoever they chose.

See this never made sense to me Kolto is this oil like liquid (maybe theirs some mineral in their too), bacta is a special mixture of certain bacteria, why would combining the two make a weaker substance?

Simple. Something in the kolto was a problem for the bacterial suspension. Maybe a mineral they don't like or having to live in the kolto suspension.

maybe the kolto is actually a organic like substance as well and competes with the bakta meaning there less effect on the host as less of bakta or kolto is actually "healing" instead of fighting each other.

I thought spice was made from dehydrated bacta. There so much on tattoine because it was once covered on water. The water was boiled off of tattoine to deny it to the enemy. The luke bacta tank was on board the diplomatic freighter. It came from Alderon.

My personal headcanon is that certain powerful secret societies composed entirely of individuals who are all members of naturally very long lived species like hutts have been actively expending alot of their wealth to actively suppressing and even hiring mercs to actively sabotage all efforts at pursuing life extension medical science for humans among mainstream galactic society. Perhaps they have realized that their natural 1000 year long lifespans bestow them many long term advantages over humans like the ability to conduct long term strategic realpolitik planning for the future that transcends the life spans of especially xenophobic humans that wish they could just purge the outer rim races and take their resources. Because of this arrangement races like the hutts get to remain largely politically and economically independent of the largely human dominated galactic republic in the outer rim. If core world humans were ever to nullify this distanvantage and go on to eventually fully embrace genocidal human supremacist ideology like the ancient Pius Dea, it could spell the end of the lifestyles and civilizations of certain influential outer rim species that have endured for millenia long before the galactic republic even existed.

Weird thing that I noticed on the start of the video. Luke has clipped nose so it doesn't get inside, meanwhile Boba doesn't. And for some reason when Luke floats, Boba just lays there.

Yeah the Selkar didn't have to go down that route at all. If you want to share your healing tech with all then choose a side and to work with then leak the process to the other side (like have them "intercept" a shipment every now and again or something). Unfortunately remaining neutral with life saving tech not only paints a target on your back to two enemies it also leads to greater death and destruction as both sides try to manipulate and force you to choose their side.

But isnt Bacta a mix between bacteria and plants? What about the variant of Barley seen in The High Republic: The Light of the Jedi? Or is that just new canon, and if so, why didn't you mention it? The only Canon stuff you mentioned was the Empire Strikes Back scene.
