His speech was so good and I love how he tied in the circumstance of being invited by the Buckley Institute to the beautiful story about Buckley and Ira Glasser. I've been following the Twitter Files developments very closely on an almost daily basis since the start, but I need to hear it explained over and over and over again to digest it. Thank you for having him speak and putting the recording online so everyone can listen to it. It's such balm for the soul to hear people being very polite and respectful to Matt. Warm his heart, give him hope and strength to go on. His fight is all of ours.

This is what needs to happen. Unite along specific issues where there is agreement. Ignore the other unrelated issues you disagree on for the entire duration of the work. Deliberate and come to an action. Take said action together. Duh...
Objectivity in journalism aims to help the audience make up their own mind about a story, providing the facts alone and then letting audiences interpret those on their own. I would hope the average person would be extremely disturbed by this information and want to know our intelligence department is colluding with big tech to censor information.

Especially when it's now being understood that Woodward and Bernstein didn't "break" a huge story about Nixon and corruption and instead those reporters were "given: the story by the head of the FBI and the burglers who were busted breaking into the Democratic Party headquarters....3 of those guys were working with the CIA at the time of the break in. The whole Watergate incident is looking more and more like the whole effort to get rid of Donald Trump. The burglary was a whole set up to out Nixon, probably in retaliation for the governments effort to get rid of JFK.
Prosecuted for what? I don't think Congress will have passed any laws making it a crime for people working for the FBI to send emails to people working at Twitter. No, people choose to forfeit their rights and freedoms whenever they believe they have an enemy who gets more out of those rights than they do themselves. This whole complex is something that has really been developing since 9/11, initially used for spying on muslims until the Snowden leaks, when the Obama admin responded by moving the control apparatus into the private sector, which would simply "co-ordinate" with the government agencies rather than those agencies have direct back-door access to telecoms and internet servers. It's that co-ordination that you're seeing the fruits of here.
The point is, as Taibbi alludes toward the end of the Q and A, is that long established laws already exist to protect people against abuse. Much of the the time they're ignored and/or not prosecuted, but that shouldn't be used as an excuse - which it is increasingly - to introduce ever more Draconian laws.
"Getting to the bottom of it" will neccesitate eradicating the ringleaders . There is no way to change things while leaving these monsters in control. To get them to release control will not be achieved with a kind word or any words at all. It will take force. I suspect Taabi's sensibilities would prevent him from acknowkedging that plain fact.

When I share photos of landscapes, however, many of my "friends" see and like them. I'm 100% certain that Facebook is suppressing my non-photo posts.
How hard would it have been to show us the source documents on these files instead of screenshots and texts that is something that should matter we should always want that would they still be threatening to throw a journalist in prison
This is such a rich area to be mined. People who have access to the data could earn doctorate degrees showing how ideas which exerted great influence started and how they were shaped.

Quite the opposite - it is another ‘center of power‘ whose independence FROM the government is explicitly established by the First Amendment. I THINK I understand what you intended to communicate... i.e. a ‘fourth estate‘ that is independent and free from government control, coercion, and interference used to be considered absolutely essential to good governance, but I wanted to clarify, as what Mr. Taibbi is understandably deeply alarmed about is the subsuming of the ‘free‘ press INTO the government. The corporate state has already largely succeeded in this takeover in regards to ‘mainstream‘ corporate media, and the Twitter files only demonstrate that they intend to do the same to ALL forms of mass communication. Goebbels and Stalin would be very pleased.

Remember.. of the people .by the people ..for the people? Technically our governments are servants of the people..not our leaders....Of course, the news media is not technically another branch of government.. However, your point is well taken... Especially about what the media/press has turned into..
I treat people the way they treat me and the color of their skin has nothing to do with who a person is or acts. We are all individuals and held accountable for our actions, not the actions of others.
