weird... i followed these exacty steps 3 times and MAYA says they're still. i started new scenes and followed these steps. How is Maya different for me?
its a bit tricky, I believe hes got the point face selection turned on, which means instead of clicking on anywhere on one face to select it, you havge to select the middle point of the face to select it. this makes it so you can turn on xray and select through certain faces if theres some in the way, it's the original maya workflow before they changed the default. if you want to change it, go to windows > settings > preferences > selection. in the selection tab, find the polygon selection tab and you can change from selecting the whole face to selecting with a center point. hope that helps!
Hello James, I really like the way you teach. But in the 1st lesson you moved really quick and i was not sure what you clicked on to select both edges at the same time. Just a little slower so no one will miss what your doing. No criticism at all because your teaching was really simple, you did not talk to much, you were on point, This was really good. Thank you.
