The Type R gets fresh disks and pads (whirring noise) 

Recently subscribed to your channel and vids like this have really inspired me to start working on my own type r... previously had mechanic service mine brakes etc but from now on i will do myself. Keep vids coming... thanks.

You mentioned that you put copper grease on the brake pads to prevent seizing up, which is good, you can also do the same on the back of the brake disc for the same effect, won't have to hammer em off as much :) great video though man!

Brakes are on my list, both front and rear. Gotta sort the clutch and gearshift out first though. I bled the clutch and the notchy shift went away, but it came back, so I don't think the murky tea coloured mess that was my clutch fluid has been totally eradicated. I'll be under the car this weekend, doing the oil change (fuchs titan race pro s), so I'll deal with the fluid again! Next up, I have a stage 1 competition clutch and lightened flywheel sat next to me waiting to be fitted, and I might tackle some flaking lacquer on the NS sill, with a home re-spray. It never ends, I'm building a beater car next time (350z or something!) to save all this hassle!! :D EDIT: Oh, I dropped the car 25mm a while back too, Tein springs, and replaced the front shocks too. And I also went for a set of Pilot Sport 4's too. A lots been going on since I was last around!

I had drilled & grooved disc's on mine but they worped so ive gone for plain this time. Dont know if the drilled & grooved are prone to worping but they did on mine. Too much John action maybe 😁

Great video! I found your video as I am going to replace my brake pads and rotors on my FN2 as well. May I know all the torque on the nuts or is there any good place to find that information? I am always afraid of over tight them.

Ya dont need grooved discs at all and drilled discs tend to crack if you use them on track so you bought the right discs pal. The noise in the blooper bit is probably just the pads rubbing on the discs slightly if you had just dont a few harsh stops due to them being hot

Are those the standard Fn2 wheels? Bought one earlier this year and it came with black similar looking ones but yours look 10 times better, have looked all over the place trying to find white or even silver ones but with no success.
