Here are a few clips from the six-part TV series. The Tyrant King. The show was aimed at kids and teenagers to encourage them to visit London's famous landmarks but with its ultra cool soundtrack featuring Pink Floyd, the Nice and many others, watching it today feels more like a 60s trip than a kids TV show.

Really felt like i traveled though space & time back to 1968 The street scenes looked so cool back then. Love the short skirts and antique cars! What a great time it must have been to be in your late teens or twenty somethings back in the ultra cool vibe of London 1968!

Wow, this is a great film!!! Our parents took us to London in 1968. Though I was only 9 years old I remember the fun riding the "Tube," going to Trafalgar Square and still have the photographs my late Daddy took of me sitting atop the huge, beautiful lions at Trafalgar. A few years after my wife and I got married, we went to London (2002) and I revisited some of the places I had been in 1968. I will always love London. My older brother got his PhD in British history and is a history professor here in North Carolina, U.S.A. I have always loved the Beatles, Cream, The Stones, The Moody Blues, and many British psychedelic groups from the sixties. Thumps UP to The "Tyrant King." It is great!!!!!!

Finally,in colour. I have teenage memories of the 'bird', the fab gear, and the groooovy soundtrack. 20 September 1968 I was in London at Battersea Funfair. The Rotor - a giant centrifugal drum - pressed against its walls & the floor dropped. As it stopped you gradually slid down the wall -.and the girls opposite out of their dresses. Why are you so so cheerful-you'll be in the army next week' said our cab driver, handing us the Evening News - 'Russia invades Czechoslovakia'. The end of an era.

It's round about the time, me and my friends use to buy red rovers 1967 - 68 (different times) and travel all round the sights of London by bus all day on Saturday. We took picnics, washed down with lashings of lemonade.

I was hooked on this program at the age of 14yrs, used to get the train on a Saturday Morning and walk around Carnaby Street thinking i was part of the "In Crowd". Always remember the theme tune title " The Thoughts of Emilist Javjack" by the Group the "NICE", later to rename themselves as "Emerson Lake & Palmer"

My ex, who I started seeing when I was 20 and she'd just turned 17, looked so much like Candace, they could have almost been twins.
