well the legends of runeterra team said that this isnt the same udyr we will get in league. this is an inbetween because he isnt finished in the league version. also these are not the same stances he will get in league because the runeterra team said the stances are based on the cards from the game. the wildclaw stance for example is based on the alpha wildclaw card in the game. so this isnt the same udyr as we will get in league guys

True, and the spirit guardian skin, is supposed to be the Udyr while training in Ionia, so the "spirits" are bound to be different

Runeterra design of Udyr is acctually his Spirit Guard skin, which is cannon, that's why they used it. Also the stances in League will be Bear (Volibear) and it will probably replace Tiger's effect, Boar (The Iron Boar) replacing Turtle stance, Ram (Ornn) that will be the new Bear stance, and Cryophoenix (Anivia) that will replace the Phoenix stance.

@@robilala2135 Wildclaw is a species of animal in the Freljord. Udyr can technically channel every animal, they just decided to give him wildclaw stance in the game because we already have a card called Alpha Wildclaw in LoR. They could have given him cryophoenix stance (Anivia) instead, but it would be confusing because Aniva in LoR has a very different playstyle.

I see, I just thought that there'd be a god akin to Voli Anivia and Ornn since they resemble his other 3 stances and that there is a wildclaw looking freljordian god = to Dyr's Tiger stance. For some reason I missed the part where Bear = Tiger in the update, LoR made me confused with that Wild claw stance, made me assume that that was a new God that he channels. But little do I know he isnt limited to the freljordian gods. Haha

This isn’t the VGU, LoR did their own version of the VGU so won’t be the same as the LoL one.

They literally posted an article saying this was their take on an alternate version of the VGU since they had to start earlier than the League team. We already know the 4 stances which we'll get in League from their last dev blog and the ones in LoR are different from those. Like put some 5 min effort into looking things up and stop clickbaiting. You and Pants are literally the same when it comes to this.

I really enjoy udyrs current play style. I just hope they don't change how he's played too much is all I'm asking. I also like that you can viably play tank, AD, AP, or any mixture currently.

Im gonna miss the Turtle stance. When it comes to Spirit Guard Udyr, the turtle stance animation+sound effect is one of the most satisfying things ever. :)

So Udyr is supposed to adapt an aspect of the various demi-gods of Freljord, right? So we have the thunder-bear with Volibear, fire-ram with Ornn, ice-phoenix with Anivia, so... will we perhaps get some sort of leopard/lynx character in the future for the tiger-esque stance? Would be neat if so. We have lightning, fire and ice so what kind of element would this cat-like demi-God control? Water, Earth, Wind? Or perhaps something else? It would sort of fit in with the theme of 2022 to have a water-cat.

this is not the rework guys. its old spirit guard udyr with a better look and has the new forms. the LoR team dosent work back to back with the LoL team. but i assume he also has the new voice for udyr

The voice actors aren't always the same as in league

@@Colorless_Reaper that's because most of them are not avalible to work on LoR , so they get new ones and filter it to sound similar. but with udyr i think the voice actor recorded for both LoR and LoL since the rework is close
