Championing Innovation Inclusivity!!!
The University of Ghana Business School | UGBS and the UGBS Innovation and Incubation Hub are proud to announce the completion of the first phase of the 'Bridging the Research Innovation-Industry Assimilation Gap through Technology Capacity Building in Rural Ghana' (BRIInG) project which is funded by the RISA Fund with support from the UK Government.
In this phase of the project, we have completed six (6) 5-day food processing innovation trainings in Takoradi, Cape Coast, Kade, Dormaa Ahenkro, Atimpoku, and Techiman. Emphasis was given to empowering the cottage industries (rural enterprises, women-owned, and PWDs) to take-up innovations that enhance their businesses, prevents pre-and-post-harvest losses, and ultimately bridge the innovation development and assimilation gaps between research and industry.
The next phase of the project is equally exciting. We look forward to follow-up on the trained enterprises and provide community maker spaces for some of the areas that will need further support to implement the innovations to their full capacities.
