Although it's a comedy song, you just know Ricky loves the whole recording of this, the song and video. He says it's "David Brent etc..", but he quietly wishes it was a different song from him and his band and was being filmed for the history records of music. Still, he's done okay with his side-gig.
He had a hit in the Philipines in the 80s called More to lose with his band Seona Dancing. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ABjYSxyUD98.html
I wouldn't say its a comedy song. The singer may have been in a comedy show where he first played this song, but if you didn't know that, I don't think you would listen to this and think *Yak Yak Yak*
He started in a band in the eighties and he later managed Suede before anybody else. It was clear from quite early on during the initial run of The Office that he does have some musical talent.
@@adambrammeld9286 I saw that kid at a show last summer opening for an Oasis tribute band (of all things) and totally forgot his name until now! Thanks so much. He’s a talented fella.
How come everything Ricky touches just turns to gold? He literally can't put a foot wrong.. I'm not complaining I love Gervais!!! He just hits the jackpot with everything it's almost like he has a guardian angel of sorts watching over him.
you must have stopped watching his material after about 2010. Everything he's made since then has been garbage. Derek, Lifes Too Short, Supernature, Afterlife, Invention of Lying, Life on The Road, Learn Guitar With David Brent. All shiiiite.
Some might say, it was this exposure which catapulted Noel into the starlight once again following the demise of Oasis as we knew it then.. I hear recently that a postgrad at Salford Uni was delving into this history as primary focus of their PhD thesis... God bless and help us all.. please.
That’s just like my mates dad doing a video/song in the 90s trying to be cool and on point except that was unintentional and hilarious and this was intentional and hilarious 😆👌
