Thanks! I know they had a few issues some time back. I asked about them, and was satisfied they had taken steps to resolve. My perspective is that sometimes these things get overblown. There are some provocative RU-vid videos that capitalize on “exposing” things, but when you dig deeper, the truth is somewhere in the middle. Of course, people shouldn’t use a service they aren’t comfortable with using, and should definitely do their own research!

I am Polish and I am sick and tired of constant texts from the West that "Poles are russophobes because they have a difficult history" and that the western world should not listen to them. For years we have been ringing the alarm bell (same as the Baltic countries) that Russia is a threat to world peace, and we were ridiculed. When the full scale war began, Poland did not limit the use of weapons delivered to Ukraine, it immediately provided several hundred tanks and fighter planes, when the West was terrified by Russian red lines, threats of escalation and nuclear conflict. So what, no Russian nukes fell on you yet? When will you people learn that in matters of Russia you should listen to those, who actually know this horrible country and the mentality of its people? Do you think that Russians are like Europeans, only they have a bad president? Well, you think wrong, damn it! The threat of nuclear war is nothing but propaganda and psychological warfare, which is supposed to scare you into withdrawing support for Ukraine, so that Russia can do whatever it wants there. And when it does, it will come for us first, and then for you. Don't make the same mistake as Neville Chamberlain!

Perhaps unintentionally, preventing Ukraine from using Western weapons to attack Russia proper may have helped Ukraine immensely as it gave the Russians the confidence to put all their unprotected ammo dumps and infrastructure so close to the border that when Western policies changed, the Russians were completely unprepared. Call me a cynic, but the longer this goes on the more Russia struggles; bleeding manpower, money and equipment. So that might be part of the strategy and Ukraine pays the price.

On paper only US, UK and Russia vowed to protect Ukraine if they got rid of their nukes. No other European countries. Even if you don't include the 6 million Ukrainian refugees the EU took in, the EU countries still outspent the US bij over 50%, the US only sent more military equipment, simply because they have more and they are not at risk for a land war like Europe is.

The saying is, that a Polish soldier doesn't ask how many troops the enemy have, rather: "Just tell us where they are". Polish troops have always been tough fighters, as they showed when they fought with U.S. and British troops in WW2. Polish pilots were an important factor in the success of the Battle of Britain.

I think its safe to assume that: 1)the reason why US/NATO is now confident in letting Ukraine use the weapons inside Russia's territory is bcoz every defensive measure against Russia's nukes are all in place and deployed. Ready to respond and retaliate at a moment's notice should Putin actually loses his mind. 2)Also the reason why US/NATO was seemingly slow to give support inorder to make sure that all blame will be placed against Russia. Had the NATO came to help Ukraine right off the jump then it becomes "NATO vs Russia" narrative. Making Russia correct in its assumption that NATO is expanding inorder to oppress Russia as oppose to "Ukraine invaded by Russia unprovoked." 3)Ultimately, prolonged war means more damage and loses Russia will sustain. This will also give NATO enough time to replenish and update its arsenal with more modern weaponry and ammunitions. 4)Middle east's conflict was immediately taken cared of inorder to not distract the world from RussoUkraine war. 5)With Russia weakened or cornered, USA can focus in China-Taiwan conflict.

You cannot fight a war with one hand tied behind your back. To do so costs far more blood and treasure, when winning quickly minimizes damage and death to both sides. Not everything from pre-industrial military treatises can be applied to the 21st Century. I'm in the same boat. And yes, there ARE ways that we can help. The impasse holding back funding went on until a critical mass of Americans realized that even if our own reps supported Ukraine, we still needed to write to them to let them know that we'd have their backs if they crossed the aisle, in order to break the congressional stalemate. Remember that your influence with your rep is much more powerful even than who you vote in for President--we have a pro-Ukrainian president right now who's hands were tied by a tangled-up Congress. Also, tiny contributions to Ukrainian-supporting groups like NAFU and Medshare add up when enough people do them. We can't buy much with 5, 10, or 15 dollars, but when a lot of people pile little donations together, they gain an economy of scale that none of us could achieve individually. Finally, persuade others to do likewise. Unlike our entertainments, nobody wins wars all by themselves, so don't despair if you're not a superhero, or even a league of seven superheroes. Maybe this seems like snowflake optimism, but add up enough snowflakes and you get an avalanche!

While I applaud your strategic overview (esp. pointing out the border-defense disparity now equalized, and Putin's repeated caving on his nuclear bluster), your piece was still marred by two fundamental errors. First, anyone paying attention to RuZZia's invasion since Feb. 2014 knew perfectly well how cruel and oppressive their occupation was. To select but one example, in those very first two or three days IIRC, one of the many Ukrainians who was "disappeared" was the mayor of a small town or village in, IIRC, Donetsk. He was widely known to have been a genuine patriot, trying to organize some meaningful resistance to the RuZZians, so doubtless he was put on a shortlist of UA leaders to be eliminated ASAP and was targeted by the GRU or spetznaz. In any event, he was whisked away, the new Ruscist authorities wouldn't comment on his whereabouts, and a few days later his body was found in a local waterlogged ditch. His belly had been slit from sternum to groin. Literally tens of thousands of Ukrainians are well-documented as having been assassinated, "disappeared", detained (and tortured; always tortured, with many having been raped or sexually tortured), or merely dispossessed of their business[es] and property in the "DPR", "LPR", and Crimea -- all prior to Feb. 2022. Compared to that, my next objection is practically an afterthought, but it's still important: contrary to your repeated assertions, Ukraine was always allowed [!] by its western allies to use its own weapons against the RuZZians on RF soil. (The obvious problem being UA's critical scarcity of such weapons for about two years to allocate to RuZZia proper, as UA had plenty of targets in Crimea and in the Black Sea Fleet for those few missiles it had -- like its 300-Km-range Neptunes reconfigured with a 1000-Km range, with thermal imaging, and otherwise tweaked for land targets -- and, eventually, long-range drones and marine drones that can reach the Kerch bridge and maybe Novorossisk, on RuZZia's coast to the east.) It really wasn't until 2024 that UA's freedom to strike deeply into RF territory under its own steam became a significant factor in the war, but it's not as if there was no specter of long-range fires to RF forces amassed east-northeast of Kyiv and Kharkiv.

This kind of thinking does not possibly look beyond the other side of what it leads to. Look at the track record. There has been constant wars since 2000, every year in the mid east and it's still has not ended.
