What I usually do, is keep a tally until it reaches my estimated total cost (usually a 1/3rd of the way into it) & then stop counting. I'm yet to blow the budget on any projects. Lol. P.S. Personal Satisfaction is immeasurable in $. Cheers Mate.

Hi Stephen, pretty happy with it all, honestly I don't think I would do any of it differently. The Inverted Air/Hydraulic Jack was probably the most satisfying achievement with it. Cheers Mate.

I watched that aspect with much interest. I thought that inverting the air over hydraulic Jack was waaay too much effort for the end result. I “get it” that you wanted the acme thread screw adjustment upside down, & that makes perfect sense from a convenience and safety aspect for your hands / fingers. You achieved it and fair play to you for having the skills & equipment and knowledge / expertise to pull it off. I’ve only picked up my used 20 tonne harbor freight type press only yesterday to commence this exact type of “supreme modification” project for my shop. That’s why I’m so interested & watched this one (along with many others that now pop up in my feed. I saw someone else achieve the exact same thing with only a fraction of the effort you took, without having to invert his air over hydraulic Jack the way you did. His remained upright & saved all that work. He stripped apart the old manual Jack that came with his press, and salvaged the internal sleeve that houses the acme thread adjustable ram, and mounted it underneath his right way up air over hydraulic Jack where it mounts on its beam, as his pressing ram. A fraction of the work you did, for exact same result. That is the way I intend to do mine I think. I own a Bridgeport mill but no metal lathe yet, so all the lathe work in your video isn’t an option for me unfortunately, so I have to come up with a similar result, without all that lathe works utilising only the mill. I think I can achieve that, without inverting the air over hydraulic Jack the way you did. Much simpler, easier, quicker & will work using what I have available. Yours could do with one of the Swag Off-road Heavy Duty Finger Break press kits - so you can bend sheet metal and plate steel for fabrication work as well. That would be a really good additional upgrade to what is now already an awesome press. 👍

yes but in the 13 videos you made even at the end you never show it working ,have to hunt for video to see it working haven't got time to look through them all
