Wow just found this i have to say i think I've been messing with my brushes i just really like the way you put it out there simple and i liked your look yes i subscribed ty
The tight lining on the top lashes is life changing! It gives such nice definition in a more subtle way. I just stared doing this recently and wish I would have thought to do it all along!
Thank you for breaking it down for me. I'm getting up there in age and can't really pull off the same dramatic style makeup I favored in my 20s and 30s. Lots of black and very dark smoky eyes. I can see a softer more subtle version on the horizon though. Thanks so much! New sub 💖
Awesome video! For the most part I've been following these tips (most I've gotten from your videos) But this is so BEAUTIFULLY EXPLAINED & EASY for a BEGINNER to FOLLOW! I'm forwarding these hacks to my sis & bf! Thanks Elle!
This is genius! So many fantastic tips in one video. It's always so frustrating to watch eye tutorials by folks whose eyes are big and lifted, because those looks aren't available to many of us. I would love to see a tutorial like this for a more dramatic evening look. Thanks so much!!
I used to do your tip #1 always and was always happy with my eyeshadow shades. But through the years and lots of new products, I seem to have stopped. Well thank you; tomorrow I go back to that method😊
I am petite and managed eventually to work out that I needed smaller brushes. this is the first video I have ever seen that make this fundamental point. so important. the rest I knew and do but she explains it so well. wish we had this help when I was younger!
I’m so glad I found your channel today. This is THE best video I’ve seen addressing makeup for hooded eyes. You break it all down, telling us WHY and not just how. Love this! Thanks so much 💕
Beautiful application! Thank you for the helpful tips! It's always useful to "return to basics", even after years of practice. I often get a quick technique down but ignore the finer details or just forget. Helpful reminder to slow down and be purposeful with our beauty art. ❤️ I hope you are doing well darling! Ta ta! 💋
I love the do not pass line!! I need some. Definition under my eyes, have been using eyeliner, but it can be a little weird looking… I like your idea better! Can’t wait to try it!!!
Thank you for explaining these concepts in a way that makes so much sense. It's easy to follow when you understand the geometry and how the angles the look. I have always thought my eyes are a bit too high on my face and the upper eyelid goes up a little too far (making me look constantly anxious or scared unfortunately) so when I discovered the concept of just tightlining the upper lid it did wonders for me. It lowered my entire eye, giving me a younger look but also made my upper lashes look a little lower so I look calmer and less 😳 surprised. And as a plus it made the base of my lashes look thicker and fuller without taking away my precious little upper eyelid space. Drop shadowing on the bottom lash line is also great for making your eyes look bigger which is kindof surprising to people. It just makes your general eye shape look larger by adding those few extra millimeters of shadow below.
I have watched thousands of makeup tutorials. i love them. I have never saw anyone explain every step and the reason why half as good as you do.. First time viewer & I am impressed....
Wow. I never even thought of using an all-over base shadow on top of eyeshadow primer. No wonder my eyeshadow looks like plaid after a few hours. Thanks!
You are the first person I have seen basically say it’s ok not to line the upper lash line and just tightline. I have never liked how my eyes look with liner on top but every video seemed to say how important it is to line but I love what you say about that and to focus on the bottom. Thank you!
Elle, this video was incredibly helpful. Thanks so much for your easy to follow step by step step tutorial. Can’t wait to try these techniques when I do my makeup tomorrow morning.
Thank you so much I have been doing my eye shadow for so many years and learning such great tip and tricks like this is so helpful I am doing this as I get ready for work thank you love every tip you gave and mind you i am 52 yrs so
This is exactly the video I was looking for. I struggle with eyes- mainly putting it on to blend (no pass zone) and also the winging part to lift- I have that little wrinkle skin that you mentioned that always keeps me from trying to lift or wing. I have natural almond/round eyes that want to turn down.
New sub. You are amazing and so smart with these tips techniques. 💖 I’ve been struggling a bit lately with makeup because what worked years ago doesn’t work now. You are beautiful and I feel inspired. Thank you!
I really like the tip about putting a skin color shadow all over before adding any other color. My aging eyelids do have some darkness and I DO have problems blending sometimes. Thanks for some great tips!
I have always loved your eyes and their natural pigment. I go with neutral to warm looks and think your eyes are perfect. Your beautiful, I love your content, and look to use for all things beauty!!
I’ve been searching for hooded eye techniques and came across some of your older videos. The do not pass line is genius. I’ve been struggling with not making my eyes look so droopy. Using your eye lift technique has helped so much. Thank you for making me feel more confident with eyeshadow with my hooded eyes ❤️
Guess who came back for another watch! I'm just tweaking the finer points and needed a reminder. This vid is giving me confidence and encouragement, thank you (again). 🌟🧡🌟🧡🌟🧡🌟🧡🌟🧡🌟
I really learn so much from your tutorials; not only do you show application but your explain why. Thank you so much for all the advice and help. You make my makeup experience so much more pleasant.
