I miss how everything was simple back then, where people actually had conversations with each other. Now I go out with my friends and everyone is on their phones : sigh :
I get a kick out of how you think it was so simple. That's so BULL.... Baskin robbins came out with it's 31 flavors and screwed everyone!!! LOL Yeah, it was simpler than now... but, I used to look at my parent's time, the 40's and 50's and think how simple that mustve been. You know, my mom had ONE light and ONE outlet in her bedroom. Telling everyone... the 80's was the greatest time to grow up in!!!!! I loved it.
Best comedy’s, awesome teen movies, scariest horror movies and icons, unstoppable action movies and characters, interesting thrillers. Everything was new and fresh.
Loved it thanks for putting a smile on my face this morning you guys. I appreciate it very much miss that decade especially on October 16 1988, unfortunately that morning was when I lost my mom vassa. She died from a brain aneurysm in her sleep at 38 years old and I was 16 years old and found her dead. Miss her much :(
@Energetic Coach its OK coach I appreciate that, no one is perfect I was born with a whole in my heart back on July 15 1972 in Toronto Ontario Canada and had open heart surgery when I was 4 years old now at 49 years old I'm devorced with no kids and a stroke and cardiac arrest survivor which both my cat Nemo and my now ex wife Angy saved my life, which is a long story. Better now use a cane for balance when I'm outside walking around and have a defibulator in my chest. Life goes on. Be safe and have a good night sir or madam. Sincerely Peter
@dunskie completely agree. I tried not to use this song despite how much I love it but if you really want to touch the 80's it's arguably one of the very best.
Okay I honestly don't see why people bitch on which Generation is better I was born in 1993 and that makes me a 90s kid but I have respect for the generations that came before us especially the 80s because a lot of my favorite movies/bands are from this era...One of the best 80s movies I've ever seen was the Back To The Future franchise I love thous movies. But will someone please explain to me why people bitch all the time.
Honestly it all comes down to how life was back then, so much more simpler and fun, people actually talked to each other, shared with each other, had fun with each other, heck even going to blockbuster to pick a movie was a great time, there was this magic about those times, the freedom you had as a kid, as a teenager and as an adult, it was just pure fun.
To really experience the 80's you would have to be born the 2nd half of the 60's. Which would make you go through the 80's during puberty. And I can tell you from experience, it was fantastic. Very powerful decade with a lot going on in the world and the diversity in music reflecting that time. When I look at children going though puberty now I feel a little sorry for them. So many great feelings they are not experiencing.
