Antarctica is the ultimate landscape photography destination. In this video, I head down to the Antarctica peninsula with photographers Nigel Danson, Alyn Wallace and James Popsys for a two-week trip. We were joined by 35 workshop participants on the Aurora Expeditions ship the Greg Mortimer. In this video we land on King George Island, take zodiacs out to the ship and make our way to Deception Island and the Melchoir Islands.

Great video Adam and it was also great to meet you (guy at the bar the last night next to James). It captured it just like I remembered. To everybody else... if you have a chance to go on one of Adam's workshops, do it. He is a fountain of knowledge, full of interesting stories, and just an all around nice guy.

Almost 20 years ago I felt this incredible yearning to visit Antarctica, though it always seemed just out of reach...it was something I would be able to do "one day". As the years passed and life distracted me, the desire receded to the point I thought it had left me and Antarctica would forever be just a place I viewed through a screen. The tears pouring from my eyes for the entirety of this video strongly suggest I was wrong! The awe and beauty of your opening sequence, perfectly enhanced with your choice of music, has ripped open the place in my heart where I had buried my dream of experiencing Antarctica for myself. Thank you!

Adam, I also went there in 2008 with Lindblad on the National Geographic Explorer. It was a trip of a lifetime! Your sublime photography brought it all back to me. Thank you so much. As an aside, we took a charter flight back from Ushuaia to Santiago. The pilot flew us low over Torres del Paine and CherroTorre, and some magnificent glaciers. I was madly taking pictures thru the planes window which gave a blue cast to all those jpeg pics. When I got home I put them on Photoshop (all I knew at the time) and hit ‘color correction’ , and whammo! I had white snow and brown mountains. It was magic to me.

I loved this video, I totally understand the restrictions one has trying to take photos. I had water transfers from the boat to rubber boats, dry and wet landings, three times a day for seven days in the Galapagos Islands, and then for five days, climbing in and out of very basic canoes and trekking in the Amazon. It was not a designated Photography Tour, My photos were mostly good but a lot of hard work and planning especially when came from Australia. I totally enjoyed the whole trip, and come away with an experience I will remember even though it was not possible to come home with all my photos being perfect.
