Hey boss. I was wondering if you would give some tips or even thick about doing a video for players like me. By that I mean a player that's primarily control, primarily no com, and primarily low level random groups.

There is literally not a single high quality video for console players who don't "try hard". People just who like to hop on and have fun with a controller. Maybe focus on low level heroes who can help cover worse players. Strategies to cover against a team of friends if they are not high level?

The beginners guide to the solo console gameplay. Have fun in overwatch 2 without trying to get GM. So you want to enjoy low level overwatch? .... So many titles

Or my favorite, when a qp match somehow turns into your team and the enemy team chilling and emoting the whole match ❤ doesn't happen as often as it did in OW1 tho.

nah if youre good then you will climb. easy as that. if you consistently have more impact in your games than an average player of that rank then you rank up.

if you truly know you have improved and are still stuck in the same rank then its likely youre focussing on the wrong aspect of your play. you are probably losing to the same mistakes over and over and improving other aspects which arent as impactful as you think. for example: if your knowledge of team comps and gamesense has improved, but you are still feeding at terrible times then you are going to be held back by that weakness. also, if you are stuck in gold/plat, then you are average. if you are stuck in gold/plat i can guarantee you are making lots of HUGE mistakes every game, eliminating these just wins you games.

Bc hes only effective at mid to long range. If you let the enemy team get close to you as sigma, then youre gonna fall over bc youre playing them wrong. You literally want to keep them at a distance.

Sigma's greatest strength is his ability to poke out and deny angles at a long range with his shield and primary fire. Also, rammatra is great for brawl in nemesis form. Much better at close range lol.

Ok guys, hear me out. You keep telling me that he's good at long range. But nobody can't explain me HOW DOES HE WORK AT LONG RANGE. I opened an Overwatch wiki and read "Range: 20-22 meters" in Sigma's primary fire description. I thought "Ok, maybe it's outdated or you can actually extend this range by bouncing his spheres?" I went to the practice range and tested. The farthest distance at which I can deal damage is about 23-24 meters, due to the sphere's explosion radius, and the amount of damage at this range is laughable. Bounces don't effect his range at all. About his shield: I get it, it's really powerful for denying angles, but I can't fight or even pressure a sniper behind it. I'm forced to fight targets at much closer range. Also if I put his shield mindlessly in the open, it gets broken really fast. So, please, can somebody explain me, HOW exactly do I need to play him at long range? Maybe I'm playing a different game? Maybe I'm delusional? And I don't mean to hate on Sigma, I want to learn him and be effective. The best strategy I figured out so far is to actually play corners or tight spaces, where I can bounce his spheres off walls from safe positions, or placing his shield in chokes. Yeah, I can agree that he is not good in close combat, but at least he can disengage from a brawl range with his cooldowns. Again, I'm not trying to prove that you should play him this way or another. I genuinely just want to understand how he works and why everybody is saying that he's long range. P.S. I know that Rammatra is mainly a brawl tank, I started to main him recently. And I really like that he can harrass enemies with his primary at long range BEFORE they get close and I can pummel them to the ground. I like to switch my playstyle from calm and defensive to active and aggressive. P.P.S. I played Overwatch 1 in 2017-2018, and I was mainly a quickplay and arcade enjoyer at the time. I decided to try OW2 now, after playing Valorant for a while and really getting into tactical side of... Well, tactical shooters. So now I really like analysing different characters and situations in which they can be useful, so that's why this Sigma dilemma is so mind-wrenching to me.

@@user-lj6jh4rz6x I'll tell you. Sigma closes distance and takes space with his LONG RANGE shield. He can use this to A. Deny off angles from dps (widow, hanzo) or B. Close the distance to a corner which he can spam from and play around or even C. Cut off healing and utility from supports. So you use your shield to CLOSE DISTANCE, so that you can be in your effective mid-long range with your primary fire. Then you can force resources (abilities, health, healing) from the enemies by using your poke damage (which is one of sigma's greatest assets). This ability to to take long-range space with your shield makes it very easy to get into your effective spam range, force resources, and then win teamfights because of your RESOURCE ADVANTAGE. This is key to getting value on Sigma. The reason that these long range maps are good for sigma is that he can close that long range gap easily with his shield and play into his mid-long range spam. So yes, obviously you don't want to be spamming from first point havana spawn up to high ground. You close the distance to the corner to play at your effective mid-long range. Edit: Just adding to this once more, playing SUPER LONG range angles is never going to be effective on Sigma. You don't want to be in open space where the enemy's can safely peak you and force YOUR RESOURCES. You want to be the one who takes that open space (havana first point long sightline) and push up to a corner from where the enemy is in open space. This is where you spam and force resources from that 20-22m range. Additionally, 20-22m is still considered long range spam for a tank. If you are playing the right corners as Sigma you are going to be in your effective range almost always.

OW2 is a gun game. Those of you that are stuck in the past and in a "just looking for the bad things" mentality ofc aren't having a good time. Especially if you are one of those "being back 6v6." I'm suuuure you guys didn't complain AT ALL back in 2016 -_- I'm sure OW was just perfect. It sucks that you became disenchanted with it, but why discourage others? They might have a totally different experience than you
