@@into.moonlight Honestly the thing that helped me the most was finding my own proper balance and easing myself into it. Whenever I'd try to wake up super early, read my Bible first thing, try to remember to pray multiple times a day, all on top of school, work and extracurriculars, nine times out of ten I would get so overwhelmed and would stop those habits completely for days on end, and would then start the cycle all over again. Once I realized that building these habits (which would lead to a strengthened relationship with God) would definitely not happen overnight, I began to build them slowly. For one week I would only focus on getting into a steady prayer routine, then the next week I'd add on waking up early, then I would find what annotation system worked best for me while studying the Bible, and so on! Since then it's been a thousand times easier to maintain a healthy routine that works well. While slip-ups are inevitable and happen to the best of us, taking it piece by piece will always be the most successful tactic in the end :) If you want more specific tips about reading the Bible and things like that in general, lmk! I just didn't want to come off as being condescending 😭

Hi. My names James. Im a 13 year old male who struggles with same sex attraction, anxiety, etc and keeps falling into sin. One night I found a picture of god in my closet. I didn't believe him at the time so I sort of just tossed him aside of me. Later that night..something happened. It was like a switch turned on. I started believing god and I started to want a bible and to hear god. Reminder this all happened in one day lol. Now a few weeks later, i'm sitting her watching things to grow closer to the lord, with a bible on my lap. I am a beginner. I converted to atheism to christianity so i'm sort of confused. Ash I don't know if you will read this, but currently I am in a very hard season. Going to spiritual warfare, believing the enemy's lies and I'm very unmotivated to read my Bible. I don't pray often but the rare times this happens I feel like God is listening to me and He is answering my prayers through your videos. For example I struggle to read The Bible and now you post this video about how to read The Bible, I am struggling with being lukewarm and you posted a video about that. You mentioned having a Christian community, and I totally agree that it’s so important. I didn’t really have a Christian community but now I have friends who support me and pray with me and it is such a good feeling. Praise God for Christian friends!

So so true. I’ve been saved for a long time since I was a kid but of course with growing up life happens and I had become lukewarm. I've been continuing reading my Bible in a Year with the Zach Windahl Bible Study (Youth Edition) as well as your November Bible reading challenge through the Book of Proverbs, I just finished in the Zach Windahl Study of reading the Book of Psalms and I'm now on Ecclesiastes. On Sunday, I got baptized at my church that I've been attending for a year now and serving at on Worship for a year now as well as a Vocalist and it was so moving, I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit and when I came back up, it was just pure joy. Your faith is so awe-inspiring! Thank you for your authenticity! You have inspired me to read my Bible first thing every single morning as well as do my daily-devotional (I use a book called God Calling and as a Baptism gift, I was gifted Jesus Calling: The Notetaking Edition by Sarah Young by my sister which I cannot wait to start in January!) When I first was scared about making friends as a young adult within going to my church's young adult ministry called the Porch, I prayed earnestly to the Lord and your video about how to be in Godly community and make friends popped up and I immediately watched, felt so moved, and subscribed. You have been an inspiration to me every step of my faith journey! I also do a devotional plan every morning from the YouVersion App and my church also has an app with daily gratitude, prayer request community, and Daily Devotionals with a journaling feature!

This is exactly what I told my husband today. We’ve been fasting this January and spending time with God in the word and through prayer everyday. And let me tell you, I’ve been a Christian since I was 10 years old and I have never felt the Holy Spirit like I have just today. It was so sudden like a lightbulb and we are so on fire for the Lord. It’s the first time we can actually see God’s purpose for our lives. I love how you explain it and I wish I started reading my Bible sooner ‘cause I’ve missed out on so many years with The Father. Oh my gosh I love this It really does change you I started reading the Bible about two or three weeks ago I really wanted to get in his word and so I started off with a book of Proverbs cuz my mom said that would be the easiest one two days ago I finished the first book in the Bible proverbs huge accomplishment I had to change my routine significantly to fit in my Bible reading time because that's something important to me and that's something I value so I wake up at 5:10 in the morning I do my hair and makeup then it turns to like 5:25 then I get up go brush my teeth then go make my bed then I go fill up my ice water take my ADHD medication come back get dressed and then go into my prayer closet room and see my biblical affirmations and read out my goals and just pray to God that's my more I just pray pray pray I read the verse of the day and then at about 5:50 I'm done with all that and I go sit on the couch from about 5:50 to about 6:15 I sit and read the word of God It's truly been amazing to start my day with Jesus and it gives me peace and confidence while I'm getting ready I listen to music that glorifies the Lord and I have not been the same and never will be The prayer that I say before I read the Bible goes like this courtesy of Joel Osteen from Lakewood Church Houston for these words this is my Bible I am what it says I am I have what it says I have I can do what it says I can do today I will be taught the word of God My mind is alert my heart is receptive I will never ever ever ever be the same in Jesus name Amen I can't believe I used to not read the Bible I'll never go back to not reading it It is truly changed me and I love the Bible I read it morning and night so everyday a total of 50 minutes on the Bible about 20 to 30 minutes in the morning and about 20 to 30 minutes at night And you inspired me to read the Bible so thank you Ash you had to continue to have helped me so much in my walk with God and I couldn't have done it without you

As a Christian and Bible study leader, I recently moved across the country, and I’ve been praying that God would use me here. I have made some friends who are brand new to the Bible. I know that it’s important to explain to them, but couldn’t put it into words. Thanks so much for making this video! I'm not a new Christian but I've been going through a phase where it is really hard for me to make myself read the Bible (even though I want to). So, basically I really needed this. Also a tip for new Christians: it may be a good idea to read the letters in the new testament (James, Romans etc) before you read the old testament because otherwise it can get a little confusing

I love this so much. I prayed to God to help me to start reading the Bible daily. Seven years later I am still reading daily. Read full books and full testaments. The Holy Spirit helps us to understand the word of God. You are not alone while studying/ reading.

✝️ girl, you are such a blessing. Much of what you said echoes my own experiences with my journey to a relationship with God. Thank you for this, it’s hard to admit but I have almost never picked up a Bible outside of church. I hope to get better at this and start with 15 mins each morning, I will come back to this video after the first week.
