Burst 5, Focus 5, LP 2 and WEX 2 are on my data I presented it’s only 4883 versus the 4957 you get from WEX 1 CE 1 lol. Math is different from putting stuff in mhn data sims because it maths for me lol
On the ultimate build would it be better to use pukei mail instead of pink rath mail you get poison resistant instead of dragon attack and you can get drift melting at grade 6 on pukei mail
Honestly there’s nothing wrong with it. But the reality is Pukei is the “cheaper option” Most I see saying Pukei just want it for early driftsmelting. But in the long run Rath is more valuable so how patient are you? If grade 8 ever has more requirements in the future you’re going to invest into something more. Pink Rath has dragon attack so if you want Dragon attack 5 you need that piece. Poison res lvl 1 is barely going to help with anything. If elder dragons are as difficult as when I fought Kushala you’ll see you won’t want to get poisoned by Vaal Hazak in the future.
So I’m at burst 5 focus 5 latent power two slots in weakness exploit I got super lucky and got 5 affinity taken off only issue is that I got super lucky to get that going for the build you got would cripple me hahaha love the build man I’m working towards it cause definitely right latent power really only comes up with you fighting something that’s really hard
Even if it’s really hard LP can get out DPS by the ultimate build if this builds crits proc a lot early on. LPs limit is it takes too long to proc. 30-40 seconds can be a lot of time!
From personal experience, your ultimate build is ideal for the usual 8* WGS farming/HATs while the latent power build is ideal for 9* or above where the fight is drawn out and that extra special makes a difference. Really boils down to preference but both have a place.
A 4 second difference isn’t “ideal at all” Plus my ultimate build as I stated can outperform LP if the 15% positive crit procs early in the first 30-40 seconds of the battle. And I literally just proved the 2nd special won’t proc if you’re at zero even with LP lol. In fact, you can actually proc two specials with the ultimate build if you have your ult ready as well. The only reason I’m not promoting a pivot is because driftsmelting is expensive lol.
I think latent power is valid against kushala since those battles can be drawn out longer. But if soloing go with the nonlatent power build for more consistent dmg since you'll have aggro all the time.
It’s valid. But the problem is you have to be really good at aiming otherwise you won’t do a ton of damage even with LP. Unless you just have resources to burn the crit option is much better overall, unless you really have the stuff to go after two different driftsmelt builds.
Wow... My set on my last coment in other video...🥳 But my build is Head - azure Chest - odogaron Hand - black blos Waist - pink rath Feet - jyura Drifsmelt focus on burst+5. And IM still got 1 burst. Hahahaha... Long journey...
Day one of driftsmelting I aleady theorycrafted this build lol Also you don’t want focus 4 especially with Kushala. You’re gonna want to get to charge sidestep as fast as possible. You’ll see lol.
@@KINGOFCHARMANDERS on this set, i got skill focus+5, crit eye+4, burst+5. Maybe i can switch odogaron chest to rathalos chest for wex. But my rathalos chest stil G6.
Similar for the key pieces, but heres what it would be Azure Rath helm G8 Jho Mail G8 Rathian Vamps G8 Rathalos Coil G8 Jyura Greaves G8 3 x Burst Driftstones 1 x WEX Drifstone 1 x Critical Eye That gives you the build I compared with at 4952 in the video.
I'm doing the same set, but I'm trying to get the burst deco on the coil, and the affinity deco on the greaves. This is so in case a focus deco appears, I can put it on the greaves to have focus 3 with that armor piece that I can use on other weapons, and keep the burst on the coil. (With that I can also change the mail, because I will already have focus 5)
Pukei chest is better as you unlock the driftstone slot at level 5 still get the +1 focus and get a point of poison resistance. Also if you manage to driftsmelt affinity on every piece you can get even more damage out of the build
Pukei chest isn’t “better” its “cheaper” Poison resistance will literally do nothing for you for 90% of your hunts and if Vaal hazaak comes out you don’t want to get poisoned anyways. Pink Rath mail is better because you can’t driftsmelt Dragon Attack and you need it to get to Dragon Attack 5 if your running a dragon build. Also there’s no data that supports drift smelting affinity for every piece 😂 Burst is better because it’s consistent and does 5% more than affinity at lvl 5. No sim data will support all affinity builds nor do you want to give up focus 5 for the sidestepping ability. Y’all Focus 4s are gonna hate Kushala 👀
@@KINGOFCHARMANDERS Thats fair that the pink Rathian is better suited in a dragon build but the build you proposed for the Black diablos bow which does not have dragon attack and therefore gets no benefit from the +1 dragon attack, sure the poison resist doesn't help much, but its slightly nicer to have with the black Diablos bow than a skill providing 0 benefit sure it's rather negligible, but when you combine thar with the cheaper cost to yo acquire the driftsmelt slot (you always advocate for intelligent use of gem shards) and the fact that the build uses the pink rathian belt which shares the same materials as the pink rathian chest its in my opinion the better option for the build you're proposing. You are partially correct that the existing sim doesn't allow calculations for the secondary driftstone stats. However you can get a close approximation by adding additional critical eye and attack power skills and interpolating the values.
You can just say you can’t go after pink rathain lol. That’s the same case for so many builds except YOU CANT DRIFTSMELT DRAGON ATTACK. Also if you looked at the data I manually added every combination that is allowed with burst 5. You got a lot of work to do as an analyst 💀
@@KINGOFCHARMANDERS I'm sorry if you took my post the wrong way, I'm not trying to correct you, I really do appreciate all of the hard work you put into all of this. I'm just trying to bring to your attention that there is a cheaper alternative that provides identical damage in the build, with a slight benefit of some resistance. You're not exactly the typical monster hunter now player, and its easy to imagine most high level min maxing players overlooking this item due to the rapid rate they have progressed and having already acquired the Pink Rathian chest. The Pukei Pukei chest is a better option outside of dragon attack builds especially for players Fresh to 8 star encounters or below. You always advocate for spending gems wisely and on weapons, and the Pukei chest saves the user 2 gems over the Pink Rathian. I actually do have the pink rathian chest at Grade 7.5 with the materials to upgrade it to Grade 8 but I just can't quite justify spending the 2 shards on it when I have elemental coverage of every monster, there are no monsters exclusively weak to dragon, and there is always the posibility that another chest with dragon attack will be released in the future that would reduce the pink rathian chest to being obsolete outside of focus builds. "Also if you looked at the data I manually added every combination that is allowed with burst 5. You got a lot of work to do as an analyst" I did look at your data, and you did a great job using the tooling in its current form. However what I was suggesting before is while the mhn.quest compare tool does not directly support the secondary stats from driftsmelting, you can use the "Attack Boost" and "Critical Eye" skills as well as a bit of math (Your favorite!) to figure out how the secondary stats from driftsmelting will impact your build. This will obviously not work when the build your testing maxes out these skills. To test secondary driftstone stats: 1) Input the skills from the build acquired from gear and driftsmelting and record that value (V1) 2) Add attack boost to simulate attack power gains from driftsmelting or critical eye for affinity (keep in mind that critical eye is not a uniform gain per point) record that value (V2) 3) Now lets say adding a skill point in critical eye gave 10% affinity and you wanted to calculate a 5% affinity gain from driftsmelting secondaries You would take the difference and divide that by the ratio between affinity desired (A1) and actual affinity acquired (A2) for a final formula ((V2-V1)*(A1/A2)) + V1 Hope you find this helpful :)
You can use the Nightshade chest and the Pukei Helm. But that wouldnt be optimal. Now that Dragon attack can be Driftsmelted, the Pink Rathian chest also doubles as the meta piece for Dragon Attack. In other words, there's no real point in switching. If you don't have the mats to make Pink Rath chest its better to wait rather than wasting resources on Pukei Helm or Mail just because its cheaper.
First. I am not going for the bow since im only HR 74 and dont even have the bow itself yet. Hope you can make some driftsmelt guides for deviljho weapons
I wouldn’t worry so much about driftsmelting if your that low. You can start thinking about a full driftsmelt build once you have a 10.5 weapon. It’s just not worth stressing about it at your point.
I wasn’t a fan of bow until I got to like hr70. I was sick and tired of making 4 set of armor for element build to fight 6/7 stars monster. My first bow was blk Diablo and once I pair it lvl 5 focus I notice the difference immediately. Since then I got my blk Diablo to 10.5 and it been easy fighting all 8 stars and but still struggle with some 9 stars but that was before driftstone. My suggestion is to get lvl 5 focus and pair it with blk Diablo bow. Best part you will save lot of potion in the long run. Reason for blk Diablo bow being so good is that it can use lvl 4 charge move at lvl 3. I found other bow isn’t good or worth it to build max. I play with 4 account with 2 account being on over lvl 200. That my advice hope it help. And also a suggest watching kingofcharmanders videos, dude put lot of time and effort in his video. You can learn a lot of information and save lot of time in progression with his video.
@@loneranger6953 firstly I don't follow the meta(I build what I like, with seeing how good they are) secondly I do watch KINGOFCHARMANDERS videos almost every day(though I will miss a few days if I got no time).
It does. I've tested it and it doesn't register as 4. It makes sense because how would calculate motion values accurately of the other bows if this one was broken somehow lol.
I'm going to have to give up on hunting black diablos because of rain my data service finishing tomorrow while I'm at work.... and the black diablos that I've fought refuse to drop r4 to overgrade to r 7 much less R8 through 10
I'm so jealous and salty right now. I have been trying to get my second burst, but I keep getting thunder. I have 3 thunder already on my rathian vambrace and no burst yet.
Thunder is still good! Remember it’s all based of luck so someone can get lucky and others can roll for 100s and not get what they want. Just keep trying!
@KINGOFCHARMANDERS its useless because the thunder is on rathian vambrace, the same category with the zinogre glove, which already comes +2 thunder. Lol
Yeah I am not fan of latent power skill since it take time for it to kick in. If your weapon is max out and/or also play in group hunt most fight will end before it kick in. I rather get other offense skill.
Well the thing is. We don’t know when blos HBG will come and if it’s just as strong as the Blos bow. This will be powerful for a long time. It’s on to wait but it’s up to you. I have enough materials for another G10 black diablos weapon so I’m saving them for the next big thing if something like that comes along.
Quick question: do you know if the agressive dodger skill is broken? Was able to unlock it yesterday on one equipment, but damage doesn't change at all
@@Davilas941 I see ... But from my results, none of the arrows are getting it. All hits are the same damage regardless if the agressive dodger triggers or not
