@@DavidSmith-hc2xu I asked you to explain. No explanation was given. You can either try to explain what you mean or you can keep acting like an idiot. It makes no difference to me.
21:55 Recently in Vietnam the police night raided an illegal gambling party inside jungle. Some gamblers managed to ran away, cash and stuff scattered all over the area. A day later people living near the site went searching, hoping for leftover cash. Instead they found one of the escaped gamblers not too far from where he ran from, already dead with a tree branch pierced one of his eye and into the skull. The poor idiot fled the police in total darkness of the jungle and stumbled upon his death in a way people only seen before in movies. There are so many horrible ways to be maimed or die in the jungle.
Not a bad kit. I would add a nesting cup for the water bottle. Takes almost no extra room and gives one more container if you’re only carrying the first 5 C’s. And if I’m never coming home (INCH), I’m taking a small axe or hatchet, or at least a good tomahawk. And my Spetznaz shovel. Two essential tools imho. 👍🏻👍🏻 I don’t sub that many channels, but you say you’re new, so I hit the subscribe button. I’ll follow and see how it goes. 👍🏻
I enjoyed your video and your equipment recommendations. One note you should inform your viewers that using an amateur radio, like the BaoFeng UV-5R, without an Amateur Radio License is only legal during an emergency. Otherwise, you are required to have an Amateur Radio License to use it for non-emergency purposes. Like any tool you need to practice using the radio before you need to use it in an emergency.
I may be double posting; what I was typing disappeared... anyway Just wanted to share a thought I had while watching this... I’m set to bug out first in my SUV for as long as necessary or possible. But what happens if staying in the vehicle or relying on it is no longer possible? I have a lot of stuff stowed away in the vehicle and my closet. I need to go back through and mark everything with red, yellow, or green. If I have to lighten my load then the green will go first. Unless I had no choice but to dump all the yellow, I’d probably carry what I could for as long as it was useful or I found it to be necessary. If worse came to worst I’d go as light as possible which would be the red. Red would be the Dave Canterbury 5 Cs. Now I have some work to keep my mind busy as quarantine & chaos continue. Bugging out seems more appealing every day. 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you for the simplicity. I have to make 6 of these bags and of course that could get expensive! So this set up is perfect! Also that small roll of gorilla tape? Held my window up in my car for 3 weeks through cold and rain. (The regulator broke and I had to wait to fix) that stuff is amazing!
I would also get rid of those tent stakes and get some ultra light titanium/aluminum metal ones. MSR makes some as well as Hyperlite and many other companies. Smaller, lighter, and stronger.
Thanks bro you're doing all of us 🇺🇸 a great service keep on with the work also you should have shown what bag you would put all of this stuff in and how you would but thank you
What kind of pack are you using to put all of your stuff in? Also what kind of pepper spray did you have on your Keychain? I have a daughter going off to school and this seems more durable than the one I got her just from seeing the ear on yours.
I use the Vertx Overland. Nice combo or tactical and grey man. I also have a bulletproof panel from Premier in there. Pepper Spray is from ASP: amzn.to/33xtFZO. It's metal and amazing!
Very good especially the initial kits. So many people have get home bags that exceed their ability to walk a good distance. Good vid... I'd just organize by category better & move the mic away from your throat... the sound of your swallowing became distracting. Overall, very good. (From a former SERE instructor). 👍
I like the idea of the SAS book. I keep in my BOB/INCH a few small, lightweight paperback classics that I want to read one day, maybe during long down times that occur in the course of who knows what kind of bug out circumstance. The pages can serve as emergency fire starter material.
Dental floss and a needle for sewing. Pretty good kit. Moleskin for blisters. Vaseline to coat knife blades, soak cotton balls for tinder. tea bags, Raman, bouillon cubes, jerky. sun glasses.
Military does marathons 25+ miles with 45-100+ Lbs Rucksack marches. People dont understand you can carry more weight and longer than your ignorant mind tells you. It seems like its an elephant to you eyes but 35-45lbs is not a lot of weight, even oevr long distances, yes peoples bodies are in different evolutions. some are fat and have zero fitness and cant run 100ft without being completely out of breath, a lot of people cant run 100 yards without getting out of breath. if thats the case a 15lb bag will kill you, no point in trying to survive your just not going to. You need to train your body and skills not just buy a bunch tools and stuff for your rucksack. If you cant use the equipment and you dont have the strength or stamina a bug out bag is useless. i can easily run 2 miles with 35lb bag, run not walk, no rest. easily. The point is we can do a lot more than most peoples eyes tell them. Canadian Preparedness talks on this, and the military is proof on this if anyone wants it.
I appreciate your stress on good footwear. In addition to good hiking boots, and depending on your environment or seasons, I would strongly recommend keeping a lightweight pair of sandals on your pack to protect your feet in water crossings while keeping your boots dry. They can also be a relief to wear casually after hiking when boots aren't needed around camp, etc. Also, in addition to cash, I like to keep a roll of quarters in my BOB or INCH. Heavy, but potentially very handy.
Don't forget that the mosquito net is a head ghillie, as well, for food procurement. I wouldn't use it for fish or tinder gathering, though, so it doesn't get holey and compromise it's primary function. I have modified a $5 Ozark Trail full tang knife with a metal file to turn it into a feather sticking beast by changing the grind angle to be more chisel like by filing on one side only. It is super sharp now, and I love it. It was useless until I modified it's grind, though. As I've noticed on other chanel discussions, a bar or more of hunters' scent remover soap would be a good add.
Maybe rub some dirt on that stuff or something. Your brand new unused ESEE knife won't even throw sparks until you take the finish off the spine. Another survival shopper. What a joke
Shtf situation and this stuff will not help you. All of these channels and all of their Edc gear won’t do squat. You need light, water, shelter and a good knife. You need to know how to survive more than any tool and a will to not die. In shtf people will come for your stuff, they will kill you for a poncho. You don’t need tools for signaling because there will be nobody looking for you in the woods when riots, shootings and buildings burn. You will last as long as you have food and water. But knowing how to survive is the only real tool you have.
I have a good job now but I remember being 14-18 and not having tons of money and if you said spend 50 dollars on one knife or 40 dollars on a flash light I would have instantly clicked away
watch the movie defiance. sure it's ww2, and I sure don't agree with everything in the movie as being "the right thing to do", but to me it's the closest thing to real life long term survival. spoiler, it takes a "community"
Highly recommend getting a military bivvy bag, there great if you don't have time to put up a tent , waterproof, and highly durable the one I've got can get up 40f heat , very lightweight and great addition to a bob bag, also mylar sleeping bags not the blankets but the sleeping bags also great addition.
Thoroughly enjoyed the well described video. I live in north Texas, where could I find a map like that? I’ve been looking around with no luck. New Sub, keep killin it!🤘🏽
Ditch the kleen kanteen and get a hydrapak roll up water bottle they have them from 250ml up to 8L, and then throw a sawyer squeeze with it. Way lighter, less space, and filtration. Otherwise just replace it with a Grayl water bottle and you get a lighter bottle with a filter as well. They filter out just about every single thing. No need to boil.
You could always add a nesting up too and the hydrapak, water filter and more will fit into it, so you keep your steel container if needed, and still take up less space and save weight.
Question... I've watched a ton of these videos from various people and companies. I've currently got everything in totes or standard Wal-Mart backpacks. Any suggestions for bags or packs to actually put our bugout supplies in?
@@WolfinProgress I really appreciate your help. Thank you very much. I'm a long time shelter in place prepper but seriously under knowledged with BOB'S. I've literally filled multiple totes and bags with so much useless crap. I'm so glad someone took mercy on me and led me to here to actually put the correct items in my BOB's
hey dude about the cuts on your hands... I can recommend you to stop what you're doing when you are tired otherwise it's inevitable to hurt yourself. I've learnt this from a professional named Serdar Kılıç btw.
How do you like the sas book compared to the bushcraft 101 from Dave cannaberry if you or anyone has skimmed through them? Also I have switch to the T. rex duct tape you can usually find it for a couple bucks cheaper on amazon and I have seen it put up against gorilla and a couple other brands and it beats them out so maybe check that stuff out but great video thank you
Working all my life at abattoirs and all cuts i've had were quickly solved with paper towel and elrectrician tape, it stop bleeding, inmobilices the cut and it's water, grease and dirt resistant, so back to work again. Only remember to clean an desinfect the wound and let it air and sun light as much as possible.
Check out mule tape, it comes in several strengths. The only issue is, it is white, but i bought some fabric dye and have dyed a few reams of it

Using a lighter to "Dehydrate your tinder so it'll take a spark better"... While you already have a flame from your lighter? LOL Also, add sunglasses for sun and snow blindness & a pen/pencil for the notebook. You did an excellent video!
So i think its a pretty great kit but you keep going back and forth. You say your never more than 1 day away from home so you only carry one pair of socks, so its a ghb but then say its .ade for long term. You say youve done a lot of hiking but you and i both know that 1 canteen and 1 food bar is only enough for maybe 1 day of food. I definitely would love to see this all packed up with a total weight and then take it on a trip to see what you would consider keep/getting rid of.
Very nice setup! Would be cool if you can put everything back in the backpack on your next video and how to organize it. Thanks for the awesome content!
Thanks to you I have added a local roadmap to my bug out bag. You always think you know where you’re going to go but what if you have to make alternate plans? Thanks for the suggestions!
Great video! Can you do a video showing how you sharpen your knives using the little mobile sharper you showed in the video. I have the same knife and have no idea how to sharpen it. Thanks
Oh an please make a video showing you're trama kit please also can you please tell us what brand the you use in every product you like and have because you kind of skipped a few
Just subscribed. Great content and budget friendly. This gave me an idea of what to add and delete from a couple of my bags. Thanks and will be waiting for more .
I went to storage and got my hiking back pack out to make my emergency bag out of! Now, I think I've decided to keep inch supplies in the truck and keep the pack as an emergency bag to grab and go, in case of fire at the apt...I don't have a ton of survivalist gear, just versatile camping gear that I actually use. I need to get some more supplies like a fire kit, compass, etc for the truck gear portion. My problem is Organization. I'm great at gathering supplies, but shite at organization of said supplies! Kek. Like I have a compass, somewhere in storage, not in a kit where it should be and stowed properly where it would be most useful...Kek. I need a good bf/hubby to provide for and get me organized. 🤣
Can those traps catch a squirrel? I would think it would run off with the trap, might not know where it is going but, it could end up 100 feet away in any direction.
