Thank you for your detailed videos and close-up photos of the machine. I really appreciate the work you put into your videos, and I enjoy your teaching style. I have been binge-watching your videos to get to know Silhouette products and software. I have ordered my Cameo 5 Plus and am eagerly awaiting for its arrival in December. In the meantime, I'm learning a lot from your videos. Thank you!
This was so helpful! I just unboxed my Cameo 5 and have done a couple of practice cuts with it, but being new, I couldn't figure out how to transfer the cut pieces. I love that you were so detailed from start to finish and the extra tips on being able to reuse the transfer material! I wouldn't have thought of that and would have thrown it away, starting with a fresh piece every time. Something that I did spend an enormous amount of time on, though, was trying to figure out why my Silhouette Studio looked differently from yours. I looked and looked and looked some more trying to figure out how to get the ruler and other features that you were using. I finally figured out that you have to upgrade to a Designer or Business Edition to have those features. While that was my oversight, you may want to add a sentence or two about why a newbie's Studio may look different (free versus upgrade). Thanks so much for wonderful content. I subscribed and look forward to trying many other projects with you!
I am having such a hard time learning how to use the Silhouette Cameo 5. I have a roll of Cricut Heat Transfer Vinyl. I am trying to cut it but I am having a difficult time getting the vinyl to load. I have the roll feeder set up and the vinyl in place. I think I finally put the tabs on the roller in the right places. My issue is getting the vinyl to load/catch in the rollers. I only have to small arrows at the bottom of the screen of my Cameo and I can't get the material to load.
Hello guys, how are you, I just bought my cameo 5 and I have tried to cut Siser Brick 600 vinyl and it has been a nightmare, please would you be so kind as to help me with the correct settings please. 🙏🏻
I wouldn't have gotten this far without this video! But I do have a question. I have rolled vinyl. Do I have to use the matt? I mean I am, but I see that there is a roll holder, but with the matt, the roll is on the floor. (I have the Cameo 5+ )
@@silhouettesuccess i thought i could but i could not figure out what the print settings would be. all options seemed to want 12x12 on a matt. if you were able to send me a screenshot of the settings or a video link I’d be very thankful. whichever is easier. i have seen videos using rolls but no one bothers with the studio print settings.
I have an SEVERAL issues with my NEW CAMEO 5.. I followed setup and all WAS great .. I've cut simple things from cardstock and NO PROBLEMS and then yesterday and the night before .. I've had nothing but issues... I'm so NOT UNDERSTANDING.. so its NOT PULLING MY MAT IN FAR ENOUGH AND YES, ITS ON MAT, I WENT BACK THRU AND RE CHECKED AND I HAVE 2 DIFFERENT SETTINGS IN MY BLUETOOTH SETTINGS FOR THE CAMEO, I don't know if it was like that since I connected it up, but I have tried each bluetooth setting and for one of them, its not noticing it .. the other it connects and then when I got to actually send/CUT ... IT IS TAKING ME STRAIGHT OUT OF THE PROGRAM... AT THIS POINT I DO NOT HAVE ANY IDEAS.. BUT I GUESS I'M GOING TO DELETE IT FROM MY PC AND START /RE DOWNLOAD IT AGAIN???? IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS OR IF I NEED TO CONTACT SOMEONE.. PLEASE LET ME KNOW, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!
I would start by completely shutting the computer down. Unplug the cameo at the machine and at the box and from the wall. Then slide the blade carriage all the way to the right - slowly! Then, back to the left. Do that 3 times. Restart the computer, plug the cameo back in, and give it a try.
I started with the setting for Oracal 651, which I believe is a blade depth of 1, force 10, speed 5, and 1 pass. I could be wrong on that. But when it did not cut well, I bumped the blade up to a depth of 2.
