Lucknow ShortCut: Aminabad & Chowk if you can get in with the crowd & beat the heat while grabbing a good bargain. Else Hazratganj or Sahara Mall. And its still winters so give the Namash(Daulat ki chaat) a go and all the Chat corners are a must visit. If you're into Nihari & Paaya(Bone Broth) winter mornings are the best time to grab em from your neighborhood hotel. Also Tunday k Kebab and Sheermaal. Do visit the Ghanta Ghar, Chota Imambara, Bara Imambara, Picture Gallery, Sat-Khanda, all located in Hussainabad Lucknow. If you have kids or are a nature/animal lover, the Lucknow Zoo must be on your itinerary, it is beautiful!
Wish u had made this video before Sept 2022 , I wud hv visited these shops.i was there fr my mid dermacon conference Unfortunately our taxi driver took us to Sadaf lucknowi chikankari center. Taxi drivers have an association with them I guess, exorbitant prices we paid . This i realized only after I got back when I compared it with other shops ... feeling really bad. Happy tht u gave us positive reviews. Now we will know what to buy n wer to go . Hope Nazakat has online shopping ...

I hope you make a video on Kanchipuram , Mysore silks too. These are very famous South Indian weaves. In my opinion Mysore silk is one the FINEST SOFTEST fabrics !!
as a lucknowite, if you are coming to buy chikan clothes, prefer chowk area. The prices are cheap compared to main bazaar like almost double. buy fabric if u want to hv. beware, chikankari is handwork. there is also machine work chikan clothes too. so u really need to differentiate.

I visited Lucknow in 2020 and shopped from chowk if you know the fabric the place has lot to offer at a affordable range I mostly bought unstitched fabric at a very low price which you will not get anywhere else hope to visit Lucknow soon.
Bulk Chikan manufacturers are in Yahiyaganj or Raja Bazar not in Chowk though in phool wali gali there are some but it is hard to reach there for outsiders.

i watched your video before visiting Lucknow. i think you need it to update. Ada is no longer a good shop as they have less variety. they have opened various franchise and availability of designs etc is not consistent and not worth visiting. I found other shops better. SEWA is thoroughly useless. spent lot of time to locate them and came back empty handed as they do not have any display or contemporary designs. Yes. Janpath is OK.
You have recommended nazakat shop for chikan dress material. Unfortunately your advised don't work as I have visited nazakat, they have very unprofessional approach and cheater. Please do not recommend such shop.
The oldest manufacturers are in Yahiyaganj and Raja Bazar also gali parcha. somehow you missed all that. SEWA and Banarsi Das and all those people are not even 30 year old. They do not have online presence so you never got to know about them but they virtually brought Chikan to the world.
Manisha, I am a mother to 8 years old. We have noticed couple of white spots few months back and now they turned milky white. I am very depressed and worried for my daughter. @@priyankaagrawal9450 hi there, for best chikankari dresses and lehenga you should go to Chowk market which is mostly a wholesale market for chikankari work. There you will get best chikankari in every price range starting from ₹1000 and it can go Upto even a lac depending upon your budget. Do not go to Hazratganj for chikankari I think they are very overpriced and they charge more than 100% of the actual price. Thank you and hope you get your answer 😊
Manisha, I’ve been following your channel. Since it’s inception. I think you are so pure, authentic, classy and ultimately beautiful. I came to the states when I was 11-years-old and have only been back twice. I have the hardest time with where to go shopping. Can you recommend some shops in Delhi where I can purchase nice quality fabrics for Kurta suits and at the same shop get them stitched by giving them my measurements? Is this possible? Thank you so much. I have bought dresses from sewa in mumbai and haven't found anything better than them. The artisans itself sit at the exhibitions that were held at sunderbai hall and the prince Wales museum in South Bombay. After 25 years i still have some of the pieces. But i notice we can't buy anything online from them. May have to visit them or find out where they are selling in mumbai and Bangalore
